Please, can someone help clarify which courier handles PostNL/Morning Global Post for last-mile delivery? I’ve already contacted NIPOST, but they confirmed that my tracking number is not in their system, which suggests the parcel is not with them. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Netherlands post the phone was declared as $48.

Just thought sharing your experience may be relevant for others in the future.

Yesterday, Monday morning, I went to the post office, furious and ready to pay the ₦166,000 customs duty I had been told to pay on my phone worth ₦235,000. When I spoke with the staff, they were also surprised at the high charge. After some investigation, we discovered that the phone had been wrongly valued at ₦800,000.

After a lot of back-and-forth and consultations with the staff, we proceeded to the regional manager’s office. She made calls to Lagos and appealed the duty charges on my behalf. She assured me she would call me back the next day.

Today, she kept her word and informed me that the charges had been reviewed and reduced to ₦55,000. I paid the corrected duty, collected my phone, and even gave the staff something for their pocket as appreciation.

I was also instructed to write a letter to the General Manager of NIPOST regarding the incident.

I think you can negotiate it down, but 100k on a $154 purchase is just ridiculous.

That is what I though, I read that the custom duty for phones is ~30% of their value.

The post office called me today and said I’ll have to pay over ₦100,000 in customs duty for a phone I ordered from AliExpress. This doesn’t make sense to me, since the phone only costs US $154.00. Is this normal? What should I do?

My order has been marked as delivered, but it was not delivered to me, and I did not go to their office to collect it. It is from NIPOST. I file for a refund. They said that I should provide a "certificate of non-receipt," and when I went to the post office, they told me they don't know what that is. I don't know what to do now.

I think three of my packages have been stolen by Nipost; all smartphones from Aliexpress. Two were to be delivered to the Kano post office; they departed from Lagos on the 26th of last month. One package was to be delivered to Zaria, which also departed from Lagos on the 28th of last month, but until now, none of the packages have been delivered. I went to both the Zaria and Kano offices, and all they kept saying is that my packages have not arrived and that I should wait. Nipost customer service has not been helpful at all. Should I conclude that my packages have been stolen and move on with my life, or is there something I can do?
