Do a Google Search for Mobogenie PC and use it to uninstall the apps. You can also download its .apk file from PlayStore as it can also be used used to unstall the apps.

When you are done uninstalling the apps, restart your phone.

This is your choice depending on what you intend to doing with the phone. Just mind the method you'll use in the attempt to root the device.

What exactly do you want the luncher to do that it fails to do? Normally, you should just download and install the luncher application and open it on the phone. Most luncher works that way.

Try framaroot. Framaroot always work for any kind of Techno phones including other MTK android devices.

Remove all the freedom crab files, reset your APNs and and restart your phone. Everything should fine then.

If you are using Custom ROM on the Techno A+, it is a bug on the ROM. But if it is a Stock ROM, it's an hardware problem. You need to consult your Mobile Hardware engineer for adjustment of the Handsfree port.

If it's a custom ROM, re-flashing the ROM should correct the error.

It's not only the Apps on the phone that consumes your phone memory but also the cache each app dump on the phone.

I have only flashed ROMs on Techno N3, Phantom and A+ series of Techno. I have never flashed on Techno P9.

Then, it's a bug from the ROM you have flashed. You need to wait until the ROM is updated and the bug is corrected. If its affects only inbuilt browser, simply download another browser like Chrome, Fire Fox, UC Web amongst others on it.

If you like, you may try another ROM on it.

It's most likely that you have set your phone to destroy apps' activities whenever you close them.

Just go to settings <<>>Developer Option <<>> Don't Keep Activities and then, disable the 'Don't keep activities' option.

NOTE:
You will have to scroll far down under the developer option to see the 'Don't keep activities' option.

From what you said, your HTC 1 probably still have stock ROM. In that case, simply update your Google Play Store.

As for your wife's LG, if warranty covers it, I suggest you return it. It's just too early to tampering with such a brand new phone.

@HTC1: If you have custom ROM on your HTC1, then you need to re-flash the exact Google Gapps for the version of that HTC1.
E.g if the HTC1 is android 4.4.4, you need flash the earliest google apps/Gapps on the phone.

However, if the ROM on the HTC1 is a Stock ROM (the ROM that comes with the Phone), download Mobogenie then,use mobogenie to update your Google Play Service and the Playstore then restart your phone.

@LG: As for the LG, does the phone hits up? If yes, backup the phone contents and perform a full wipe on the phone. If you know more about engineering android phones, I suggest that you change the phone's recovery to 4EXT or[b] TWRP [/b]recovery.
Most android devices charge from the recovery and changing the recovery could be a lasting solution -It is a tested and confirmed solution on HTC, Samsung and Motorolla android phones. Although, I have not done it on LG, I believe that would work for it too.

The cause of the problem could be HARDWARE or SOFTWARE depending on your previous activity with the camera.

It were to be an HARDWARE problem, you probably have to fix the camera either by changing it or adjusting the camera seat.
Also, if it were to be SOFTWARE problem, it can be caused by two things:
1- A Bug in the ROM you have flashed on the phone (If it is custom ROM)
2- A corrupted partition in the phone's file system.

SOLUTIONS:
1- Flashing a new or the same ROM with the proper GApps
2- Factory Reseting the phone may also correct the error.

6- Now, if you have a copy of the HTC Desire ROM'S .EXE Setup file on your system, navigate to the folder in which you have it saved and double-click on it. In about a minute or two, the RUU, ROM Update program would be lunched.

7- Now, just follow the instructions as may be displayed by the RUU program untill the update is successfully completed.
