Good evening fellow nairalanders....... I finished my NYSC on 15th of October and fortunately for me, I got my offer letter last week. The total payoff after a month is 30k, I'm to resume on monday but some of my siblings advised me not to accept the offer because I am a second class upper student(B.SC) and I'm less than 24. Probably a better offer will come in because I'm still in the employment age cycle. Pls advice me on this cos I dont knw wen that better offer will come in and another believe I have is that half bread is better than none.

I don't fuckiing care what you have been told up here. Don't take a #30,000 naira job. You have only just finished service October guy...2 months ago...why ur blood dey rush. How many job test have you written. Have you written up to 15-20 job test like some of us and got about 6 offers. Most coming after some months?
When u tk dt job...u lack time to prepare for tests Nd interview, attend, apply etc. It's not hard to get a 30,000 job with ur profile

This new year you're already wishing your self ill luck with this statement?? They hire and Fire alright but people are still working there years now and counting, so be positive.

What does the start up company do and whats your job role there??

Though I dislike bank work, I think the bank job is better not just because of the pay but the vast experience you will gain in that position.

#YourChoice

Sister you hit the nail on the head. What we have on nl is see students or unemployed graduates who have never worked in a Bank advising people against the bank.
Some even go as far as quoting figures as against what obtains in the industry. If it's a contract job, stick with the company, however hr is a good eneough role to give you relevant experience.

But which bank pays 75k tho.

Look for average paying jobs and use it to further develop yourself. Then you have opportunities. The cleaner that turned to a director in a multinational company has a story behind it or it's a lie.

I am interested too. I am willing to pay for it, particularly the june 2016 version.

With the present restrictions on FOREX, how do we pay for ACCA DIPIFR exams using our master cards?

I am sure they will find a way out. Perhaps we can pay in Naira.

If NBC has offered you a Marketing role or any non-technical role, stick with access. I tell u 95% of people that discourage people from working in a Bank have never even attended a bank interview. They talk based on hear-say.

You are probably not following the elections. Same hate comments have been said to them.

Being blunt does not win elections. If the blacks don't vote for you, Muslims don't vote for you, Asians don't vote for u...how will you win?

Career / Re: Should I Continue With ICAN Or Travel Abroad For My MASTER DEGREE. by SaiBuharii: 11:46am On Nov 28, 2015
ufotty2001:
hello nairalanders! plz I need your advice, am currently an ICAN student final stage (professional level) 5 papers left.. and again my uncle just sent me a list of schools to start applying for my masters degree (Switzerland). am not sure of coming back to Nigeria.. should I accept the offer or continue with my IÇAN from there look for a good job!!! what are the level of my opportunities of having a good job after becoming a chartered accountant over here in Nigeria!! plz help me...

Starting from the Last there is no "guarantee" of getting a good job after writing Ican. But there are "possiblilities" depending on your defination of a good job.

Secondly uncle tells you to start applying for schools does not mean "uncle has gotten visa for you and paid school fees, means you are not sure of the certainty of travelling, so no harm in continuing with ur ican and applying by the side.

In conclusion, continue with ur ican, when time to travel reach go. And if you stay behind, to get a good job involves getting a 2.1, under 26, ability to pass tests and being confidents at interviews, and then #oluwaMustbeInvolved. That's all.

Na so dem do us in 2013 Dec. The most painful part be say dem send me my regret mail in French after 3 months.

Lol.90% sef.

Whether you pass test or not, have faith or not. Esp for fresh graduates with kobo certificate or experience.

The good thing is the regret mail will be sweet, advising you to further develop your sef. Shells application is "make we test am application"
