I never knew people do gate crash a job interview till I got on nairaland. Have read several stories of people gate crashing an interview here. For those who don't know what gate crashing an interview means, it means going for an interview you were not invited for, but you find out about the details, maybe from someone who was invited. So I would like to know if there is anybody that has ever gate crash an interview before, or have you gotten a job through an interview you gate crashed. Have never gate crashed an interview before and I don't blame anybody who has, because of the situation in this country, desperate times require desperate measures.

I gatecrashed enterprise and Unity bank those days. I got both offers. But didn't pick them, already had a better place. Gate crashing is a function of the question - is the company organised? Companies that still invite pple via text messsge for hand written test are gate crashable, but if it computer based attached with personalb passwords, don't bother.

What is extremism in it? Someone has commenced his prayer and it starts raining, he doesn't need to stop.

Does your quoran say he can't stop?
Does the post tell you the pre conditions?

We have a loving God. He does not expect us to suffer like this in the name of praising him. This is another form of extremism.

I don't know why people keep coming to this forum to state they got a job, and they don't know the pay region. An offer letter should be the first basis for saying you have a job!

You sounded so easy like a kid taking pap.
whatever you have studied, yourself & a lawyer can never earn same (if you start together).
the op's issue today wouldn't last long, so long as she puts in effort. everyone, even Gani experienced it initially.
come to think of it, Nigeria has less than 95,000 lawyers (going by supreme court register)

Ok.

Spoken like one of those lawyer wannabes who didn't make the cut. She needs encouragement, so if u dnt have any to offer, just bug off. I am a lawyer, and i am certain I earn more in a month than u make in a year. So, it got nothing to do with ur 4yrs in uni...depends each person's will to succeed.

Ok.

You sound like a wounded lawyer. With the way you said you would have made a 2:1 IF and only IF you studied Law, I hope you made a 1st in the course you studied... undecided

I made a first class in a Federal school. I was an art student, but at the point of selecting a course, changed my future plan, based on advice. I never chose law in any form. Go and face your books.

Sweetheart, It's not a mistake. Stop hating yourself for studying law.
The problem is not with law but the labour market is saturated like you rightly said. As a result most position is based on referral and connection.
Tell me the course you would have studied other than law, and I will tell you the number of first class and 2.1 graduates in that field still applying and searching for job.

Well, am a 2.1 Geology graduate, graduated as the best student of my department. Still searching for a career job. Does that mean I should start hating and blaming myself for studying Geology for five years? No ma.

The labour market is saturated with people that can't even pass a common test, people that can't look at managers eye ball to eye ball in interviews. Like I tell people, you don't need to know anybody to get a job. I finished in the popular class, and had several offers...just by passing tests and interviews.
Career / Re: Did I Make A Mistake Studying Law? by SaiBuharii: 11:01am On Aug 18, 2015
Law and Medicne are overrated in Nigeria, the stress is less than the benefit...unless u plan to relocate.

Wanted to study law, but was discouraged it's not worth it. I'm sure I will have easily finished with a minimum of a 2.1 in both uni and law skul...so it's not even the difficulty.

Put in for a 4 year course and I'm earning my cash. My mates dt put in for law are still eida in law skul or serving, when they come to the labour mkt, and they come to my industry, no advantage, they become my junior, even in the public service, they put them on grade 8

Start doing courses that will feed you well, not that will give u title. Don't impress your parents because they want to be "papa Lawyer, they will not feed your children. Since you are after the money, you must not practice. Banking industry, oil and gas, Agricultural industry, taxation industry await you with good offers.

By the way, you are still serving. You can't get paid for what is compulsory. No dey give yourself grief.
