Please i need some advice, my study visa is yet to be out and registration deadline is 14th February. I submitted my passport with the application.

I've written emails to the Consulate General, other email addresses I saw on their website.

What else should I do?

I applied for a South African study visa for a
PhD on the 16th of December, 2025, and I have heard nothing yet. The school have resumed already resumed, and I also need the study visa for registration

Make no mistake please. SA schools cannot register you with a temporary visa. The school will only register you when your visa shows it is a study permit and the school's name is written on it. As a matter of fact, you cannot get a study visa for UNISA and then try to use it to register for another degree programme at UP.

Yours is a study Visa, if I am not mistaken, you should confirm first if there is an E-visa category for study

“The new e-visa is opened to Nigerian ordinary passport holders for a short-term visitor’s visa to South Africa. “No other visa category except a visitor’s visa, not exceeding 90 days will be issued via the e-visa platform,” the Home Affairs Department stated.

I paid for evisa fee - $75 each person
Paid for service - $30 each person
Paid for hotel reservation (no third party hotel site) - $180 with my girl
Book flight reservation - Cant recall
Paid for her service and coaching - 50k naira each person

I feel everything i sent to her in naira was around 300k and something

The 300k and something naira i pain covers for my girl too!


If its only u.. then u will pay around 150k naira plus but less than 200k

seriously I don’t really have idea about what you gonna ask me. I paid my agent for her service and the visa fees includin reservations
She has a big office here in my state .. and also has an office in the cinema.. i wont give you her contact to avoid stories of scam

I wil only give u her website, you go to her office and talk to her directly. All what i did was pay her, gave her my docs same day and went back to sleep

I ACTUALLY TOLD HER TO APPLY FOR A MONTH .. I AM SAD ITS JUST 2 WEEKS

IT WAS A TOURIST VISA..

ANYWAYS WAITING FOR MY GIRL’S OWN TO BE OUT BEFORE I START PACKING MY LOADS


I applied 2 weeks ago via VFS E-route

And got it today

Fill a new DS-160 form, choosing Abuja. save the new DS-160 application ID. sign in to ur CGIfederal portal, click update profile, erase the old DS-160 application ID and input the new one, then click on save/update. you would be transferred to Abuja ìmmediately. you can then start a new appointment schedule

Emergency Appointment applied to Lagos Dec 4th, was denied on the 15th of dec. Immediately, I filled a new ds-160 choosing Abuja. Then I went back to my old ds-160 to update it.
After updating it, I applied for regular appointment in Abuja and immediately applied for EA on the 17 Dec and request approved today 20 Dec.

This is a public forum with lots of people viewing anonymously. Why would you be telling people to defer their admissions when the embassy is still giving dates? Who told you no more emergency appointments? Please, justwise this is the type of post that needs to be deleted asap. Very misleading!
