The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare, has said that the government needs N81 million to cut the grass that has taken over the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. He made the revelation while speaking during a seminar organised by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria. The minister said he had reached out to the Abuja Environmental Protection Board for an assessment of the stadium, which was built in 2003 with N53 billion on a 29 hectares (72 acres) of land, Daily Trust reports. “We approached AEPB to come to see what can be done to clear the grass and weed in the stadium and they told us it would cost us N81m. “If we tell Nigerians we used N81m which is not even available; there will be an outcry. The funds are not there for us, and that is why we are partnering with private investors to bring back the key components of our infrastructures,” he said. http://saintbillion..com/2020/11/we-need-n81-million-to-cut-abuja.html?m=1

Have you ever come across women who often do things they are not expected to do?. Usually, these women are seen as role models by a large member of society. These persons often look up to them either because of their age or because of what they did in the past. Although people are supposed to be responsible for every action they take at all times, they are however sometimes made to be responsible for their actions. Have you ever seen a woman in a betting shop with a child strapped at her back before?. Here is a practical example for you to see and possibly learn. Presently, a picture is making waves on social media. This picture shows a particular woman in a betting shop. As can be seen from the picture, the said woman is seen trying to stake a game. As it seems, she is a regular at the shop. Although her present action did not gain much attention, her child, however, became the object of attention. The said woman had a baby with her while in a betting shop. The said woman after staking decided to lay the sleeping baby on a bench. These pictures have caused a stir as many people are reacting to it. The majority thinks that what she did is morally wrong. They argued that her action shows that she is not a responsible mother. They however asked the authority to arrest her immediately. There are a few others who think differently. This group of persons opined that there is nothing wrong with what she did. They argued that she is just trying to make ends meet. They however chide on those calling for her arrest. What do you think?. • Do you think that she should be arrested?. • Do you think that she shouldn't be arrested?. • Do you think that she is a responsible mother?. Here are some pictures;

Two unidentified police officers on Saturday night opened fire on football lovers in Ekiti State leading to the death of one while another is in critical condition. The deceased who was identified as Olaoye Ayobami and others were said to be watching a live English Premier League match around 8 pm on Saturday at the Queen Court hotel in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital when the incident occurred. The other victim identified as Idris Ismaila was said to be at the emergency unit of a private hospital in the state capital. Tribune Online gathered that the trigger happy officers were in the state with a visitor for a function before they stormed the place and started shooting sporadically with the stray bullet killing one person. It was further gathered that the police officers allegedly accompanied a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police to the facility. A source who was at the scene when the incident happened said, “we were here as always to watch football during weekends and it was the game between Manchester United and West Brom when suddenly these two officers came alongside a man and began shooting. “Everybody was running to safety and in the process, the bullets hit two persons. One died immediately and the other is in critical condition now.” It was learnt that the said officers rushed the two victims to the hospital with their Hilux van but escaped for fear of being attacked by angry youths who stormed the premises of the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH). When contacted, The Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Sunday Abutu who confirmed the incident said the affected officer was not from the state command. He revealed that he had been arrested by the state police command, disarmed and detained for investigation and proper disciplinary action. Abutu said, “we have been able to establish that there was a shooting on Saturday night at one hotel in Ado Ekiti. Two persons were hit and one had died while the second man is receiving treatment in the hospital. “The policeman that was responsible had been arrested and now in our custody. “The Commissioner of Police, Tunde Mobayo had ordered a thorough investigation into the shooting and that we have commenced with the assurance that justice will be served, I want our people to understand this. “We are not going to hide anything. Though those involved are not from our command, the incident is within our jurisdiction and we promise that whoever is found culpable will be prosecuted accordingly.” He said the corpse of the deceased had been deposited in the morgue. http://saintbillion..com/2020/11/one-dead-as-police-officers-open-fire.html?m=1

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has said the integrity test being conducted on the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAs) software being proposed by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, would last between six and eight months. ASUU has been on strike in protest against the Federal Government’s preferred Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) and wants UTAs instead. Speaking with State House correspondents on Tuesday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Ngige revealed that the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) was conducting an integrity test on the software. According to the Minister, even if the software passed the integrity test, the university teachers don’t have the money to procure the necessary hardware for its implementation. Ngige explained that the Federal Government did not make provision for the procurement of the UTAS hardware in the budget. “I am waiting for the NITDA’s full report. The preliminary report they gave me shows the software integrity test will take them about six to eight weeks and after that, we go to the hardware. “But the big issue is, who will provide the hardware? “ASUU does not have the finances to do so. Has the government budgeted for it now as we speak? So, that one is a major problem. But we don’t have to dissuade anybody, we don’t have to tell anybody not to carry on, we like local content development, we need our things to be home grown. So, we are really encouraging them,” Ngige said. http://saintbillion..com/2020/11/ASUU-strike-ngige-gives-update-after.html?m=1

Award-winning singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed that the parents of his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, were victims of cyber bullying when their relationship became public. The father of three who is used to being in the news said he decided to be discrete about his life because it appeared people were not happy with good news. In an interview with The Juice on Ndani TV, the singer said, “People are wicked. When I released ‘Assurance’, everything blew up. Chioma was getting about 5000 messages from faceless people. They were saying nonsense and sending hate messages. She went from being private to public overnight. Even her parents were getting hate text messages. I didn’t know why people were hating. It became really bad and I thought that people did not like good things. It affected our relationship a lot, so when I decided to go offline, we decided that we were not going to talk about our lives again. Before the ‘Assurance’ video, our relationship was so cool. The dynamics changed when our relationship became public; it became like everybody’s relationship. I remember when I was at an airport in Barcelona, a woman pushed me and warned that I must marry her in-law. “I felt pressurised to officially get married before now but not anymore. At the end of the day, it is between us. We would get married eventually but now is not the time. I am happy she is now working on making money. We are just trying to make our foundation solid and not riding on the waves of what people want.” The ‘Fall’ crooner also spoke about losing his mother at an early age and his relationship with his first child’s mother, Sophia Momodu. He said, “I won’t say that not having a mother made me independent but I was close to my mother and I was a mummy’s boy. Then, I was not bothered about my father because he was too busy. My mum was the one that always came to my school, checked my grades and did other things. When my mum died, it was very hard for me. Being with my dad was hard. I always went to church and attended a lot of bible study programmes at the Seven Days Adventist Church. My teenage years were very rough for my dad but over time, we got closer. I wish my mum saw the Davido that I am now. “I have lived a very carefree life. At the beginning of my career, I was not thinking of saving money. People say I was doing that because I have a rich father but that was not it. Right now, I am trying to branch out and look for more avenues to make money. I‘m signing new artistes, building some apartments and trying to build a hotel. “I am a stubborn person but me and Imade’s mum (Sophia Momodu) are now the best of friends. The fight was between our families; it was not about us having personal problems. The relationship was sour for years but I realised that Imade was growing up, so we had to do it for her. I was romantically involved with all my children’s mothers; they were not one night stands.” Meanwhile, the Davido Music Worldwide boss released his new album, titlted ‘A Better Time’ on Friday. The album has received alot of mentions on socialmedia from personalities such as American artistes, Chris Brown and Nikki Minaj, former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, Tiwa Savage and his fans. http://saintbillion..com/2020/11/chiomas-parents-got-hate-messages-over.html?m=1
