The characters we meet here everyday. He should wait for Xiaomi founder Lei Jun to give him the go ahead before he updates. As a new user update should be the first thing to do if there is any before you even start installing apps.

sometimes it's just tiring. I came here last year asking the same question when I first got an update pop-up, immediately few renowned names here told me it was safe, I quickly updated... Jay14 here is my sot after almost a year of use and more than 5 updates (not heavy usage o).

take a chill pill guys, go back and read what I wrote carefully... I never said all refurbished phones are problematic, I said refurbished devices are "PRONE" to developing issues over a short time.

I was about ordering for a redmi note 4 on jumia, but my guy advised against it saying that it's a repackaged phone. He adviced I get a second hand redmi instead.

How true is this?

REFURBISHED= phone has been recycled (some parts have been changed or repaired) so it is prone to developing issues over a short time, follow your friend's advice if you are on a tight budget.

what led to the issue, did the device recently fall to the ground? was it recently used in a humid environment? did you update the device of recent? try factory resetting your device first... Xiaomi isn't and was never perfect, but we Xiaomites are here to help and assist you all the way.

Would you rather they release now and make a loss?

I saw on the news recently that cinemas have been reopened in China which is definitely where more than half of the movies gross income will come from, but I agree with you though...
