educatedfool:Spot on! Elon Musk is as rich as the Wall Street guys want him to be. Welcome to America Voodoo Economics 101. Let him try and liquify his shares to the tune of $1bn as watch how his networth will crash! The wealth is speculative and not real substance. In reality he's very cash poor. Uncountable number of people across the world are richer than him in real cash. The richest Forbes Billionaire in liquid terms remains Bill Gates. |
WriteerNg:My Oga, $800M you say? He no fit get $100M in raw cash I tell you. He's cash poor o. When it comes to liquid cash Bill Gates remains the richest Forbes Billionaire by a very large margin. |
Sorry please, it's a double post. |
mrmayormedia:He's very sensible and that statistics is a fraudulent one. Why will you compare a less than one year term to two full year term. Is this what The Guardian newspaper has been reduced to? How do you people even sleep at night??! We did not borrow in Naira but USD. Also was Naira 1380NGN to 1 USD during Buhari's tenure? As at May 2023, Naira was around 500NGN to 1USD which makes PMB's borrowing to be around NGN16trn as at May 2023 when he handed over to PBAT! PMB borrowed and at least we had N-Power, a more stable Naira, a stable fuel price, greater gain in Agriculture, more visible projects, lesser tribalism, stronger international reputation. What has PBAT, the first class Accountant done with his own loan? PMB is better than this current disaster in nearly every indices! Don't cite white elephant projects please, because Nigeria has never had it this bad! |
Kukutente23:Finally, someone is seeing through the whole smokescreen. The state police forces are supposed to be autonomous and only skeletally regulated by the overall policing body. In addition, they also left a loophole by giving the provision that the Police Council can veto the orders of the state governor to the State Police Force if it's inconsistent (without defining what in consistency means) with policing standards. This means that the president can interfere with the affairs of each and every state police. They're are not yet serious with the creation of a state police because this is still NPF promax. Make the state police autonomous, defining the arms and carriage limits, their scope etc, these people should behave like an organized institution for once and let's rest abeg! |
maearies:You're welcome. It's split across the semesters. Tuition should in the 170-220k per each semester. |
Ironfaceman:Jihadism indeed. You made sense all through, but ruined it with that last line. I guess the drug addicts below that can barely bath properly and you can almost smell their dirtiness from the screen are the ones to carry out "Jihadism" right? The hundreds of people murdered in Kaiama LGA, Kwara State by these non-entities were traditional worshippers right? Until we stop allowing hypocrisy to blind us, the treasonous traitors in the country will continue to sabotage this nation.

Charbliss90:Who said anything about creating a full-blown state security outfit? You have probably not grasped how that game should have been played. This is why governors ought to surround themselves with technocrats and intelligent people, and not use all political positions as a form of compensation. The law does not stop any governor from creating pseudo-security organizations like; Vigilante groups, Amotekun, Forest Guards etc. What Fubara could have done was create one and call it something like Rivers Neighbourhood Community Watch. He should remove triggering words like Security, Police, Crime, Corps etc. from the name. Once done he should make it known that they are meant to improve stability in their communities and assist the police, yes assist. Then he can explore every type of arms and security tools permitted at state level. Allow the NPF, NSCDC, NA etc to train them. In fact he should go above and beyond by sponsoring them outside for “training” and heavily invest in PR and make it known that they exist to foster peace. Thereafter, he should make sure that these ones become present in every single state event and functions, station them in State schools, agencies and institutions. Then he should follow it up with an Executive Order that people seeking jobs and similar intent from the Rivers State Government have to obtain a clearance form from this outfit that would now have branches all over the state. This will increase their relevance and recognition. Then most importantly he should deploy them to polling booths in the recently concluded LG Elections, and he’ll have crystalized one of their functions in the mind of the people. But all these I guess is Astrophysics right? |
His political career is completely finished. Na true SIMP this man be. This is what indecision cost him. He had two options: fight to the finish or quietly do your "yes sir, yes sir" and complete your eight years. Political fights are all or nothing, you don't do half-measure. Duncan Mighty's music career too is gone. He should forget any singing gig from the state government again. Doing useless praise singing for a weak man. You see how Wike pampers his praise singers, they most likely even followed him to Abuja singing Nye demba, Nye demba for him. If you wanted to fight your godfather (which was a bad decision anyway), you ought to have gone for the jugular, but you went halfway and backtracked. A very foolish move! That was weakness and Wike smelt it. Dem no dey use clear eyes fight for village square. Wike is a very formidable and powerful politician & godfather with a well-oiled machinery that can easily bring down this governor. He knows where and how to pull the strings. When Fubara knows he can't fight, he ought to have piped low, because those elders who crafted the quote that when you dine with the devil, you use a long spoon. They came to that painful realization after lots of hard knocks. On the other hand, you Fubara had one of the largest and deepest war chest in Nigeria. For God's sake, only Lagos, Delta and maybe Kano comes close to what this man has when it comes to state fund. This singular reason plus Wike's ruthlessness gained the president's respect. Tinubu himself respects a ruthless person who is not afraid of showing it at any time. You could have used that to compensate for your weaknesses and let money FLOW to the right places, surgically dismantle the machinery as swiftly as possible. And had he fought bravely, he clearly had the people's support and wherever he goes most Riverians will follow. Create a state security apparatus, let the commanders be loyal to you and when election comes, release one long press statement on how those state-security officials need to be present in every polling unit. Then you buy permissible arms, tasers and handcuffs for them. FUND them well, cover every inch of the state that day, switch off your phone while the security outfit do their job. Then give a prior public announcement and firm instruction that whoever engages in malpractice would be arrested, locked up and tried. Then you clearly demonstrate it with the LG election. LOCK THEM UP and follow it up with a speedy court trial. The rest will be very scared to engage in any malpractice. Follow this up by lobbying to get officials from two or three major countries to specifically come to Rivers to monitor the election! While at this, ensure you pay for sufficient media time in international broadcasting stations let it be aired, and make sure all your ex-Oga's shady files are with you, and have CC'ed the right quarters with copies of it. While you do this, move to another party, fund it, sponsor candidates and make a public example of few people who fall out of line, then you would see as others will fall in line. Then even if Wike won, with a big IF, it would have be a pyrrhic victory for him. But as it is now, the Emperor of Rivers has won and he will so deal with you on all fronts. Be grateful if you don't do jail time! |
Racoon:Remain Desmond and Co to cry next . They all failed to get their long spoon when dining with the devil. Obi, and his guy, Kwankwaso will be laughing now. Many of these aggrieved politicians will cut deals with them. They will not only sabotage the winners of the primaries, but they will particularly sabotage the president. The final nail on the coffin will be when Fubara loses the Rivers primaries. Let's see how much the governors' can do to prevent the loud sabotage that's coming! |
Sonnobax15:The anti-party would be very loud and disgraceful from now till 2027. They will adopt the stance of "If I can't win, then the president and others won't" There's a reason why NDC extended their deadline for HoR and the Senate. They've anticipated all these. . Anyways, we've got no pity for any of them! |
Sonnobax15:The anti-party would be very very loud and disgraceful from now till 2027, and with pain in their hearts, they will ensure that the master strategist gets out-strategized, because they will adopt the stance of "If I can't win, then the president and others won't win too." AMINDA and Iweada had been very right in their analysis all along. There's a reason why NDC extended their deadline for HoR and the Senate. They've anticipated all these fallouts. ![]() |
A very lovely and sweet-smelling fruit. It has a way of making your refrigerator smell sweet. |
samdaisi:Where did Sam Daisi got this data from or is still the dem-say, dem-say statisshit that used to fly around? Be very guided when making unfounded claims. |
WriteerNg:Abi oo. See them dey eat Suya with Xi. AI is a crazy tool ![]()

Digmygold:Hmmm...I just asked a simple question and you immediately put up a defensive posture. I never said that the university has low/no prestige. I totally have no misgivings about LASU. Not at all. What got my attention was when he made that bold claim that LASU has what NO federal and uni in Nigeria possess. When I asked what's that, did you saw any reply from him? I simply asked that what set it uniquely apart from tier 1 unis in Nigeria and the guy refused to give any single reason. For instance, if someone asks an UI, UNN or ABU student or alumni, what's sets the uni apart, they'll start giving you many features and USPs (true or not) right off the bat without telling me to go on a a 60-days data gathering exercise inside the campus to get those features. That's the premise of my question, just one USP and not him making indefensible claims and fleeing when questioned. |
DesireV:You're spot on. Its just annoying to see the level of intra-tribalism going on. The school has good faculty and facilities no doubt, but till it eschews that nonsense, they'll continue to struggle. Sadly, they're rubbing that nonsense on KWASU too. KWASU was styled and operated like a typical North American University, the first VC really tried and he was a topdog from a Canadian Institution. The type of department, GPA system, Naming System, Lecturing System etc in KWASU used to be very similar to Canadian Federal Schools. It even used to have few faculties from the US/Canada. But when they infused that nonsense "omo Ilorin" bullshit, those great things have rapidly declined now. So sad that both schools used to be the fastest government institutions in Nigeria and immune of strike. But it's another case now. |
Kog45:ASUU and intra-tribal discrimination is what is causing that. It's just sad. The same thing is begining to affect KWASU too. The latter used to the be fastest government school in Nigeria and immune to strike. I don't know of now sha. For distance learning and postgraduate education, ABU seems to have perfected it, and it's one of the top schools in Nigeria/West Africa when it comes to this system. In few years time, it'll be very obvious. |
tollyboy5:Good to know. Now kindly enlighten us on the unique programs/activities/propositions that they offer, and is not offered or largely absent from Federal Universities in Nigeria? Thanks. |
Anunakeeh:Please educate us on which "good country in europe" will he thrive, not survive in 2026. Someone who we assume does not have any basic knowledge of German, French, Italian etc. Then we also assume no international qualification nor advanced skill. Please tell us. Thanks. |
Emeskhalifa:In 2018-2021, that money is much more than enough to take you and your wife and a child out of the country. But which "same clime" do you want to go in 2026 with that amount? No doubt it's a decent amount of money, but if it's the English-speaking part of the West (e.g UK, USA, Canada, Australia etc) and you want to go through study route, PoF, Tuition (part payment) and flight cost will finish that money. For you ALONE o. You might have a good chance in non-English speaking countries, but are you prepared to learn either, German, French, Spanish or Portuguese? If no, just cancel it so you don't struggle to survive there. The Nordic countries (Finland, Norway, Sweden etc) are a no-go area as it is currently. They are rich, yes, but a heavy welfare state. In essence if you're not a citizen, their "riches no go touch you". You will so struggle there, because no small gig jobs (even cleaning job, you'll sweat to get it) for immigrants plus you have no knowledge of any of the Scandinavian languages. You'd have make good money in the GCC countries in the Middle East, but are you in the energy, education or medical sector? Also how good are your credentials? In addition, be prepared to come back home even if you spend 20 years because your chances of permanent residency is very slim. Hope you know that work visa is extremely difficult now and anti-immigration is rising again? So I ask again which "sane clime" do you want to go in 2026? |
abduleez1:I remember, William Golding's book. How time flies o. That book haunted our imagination then because we couldn't just imagine some of the narrations happening in real life. |
Love800:No, it's not. Introduction is original meant to be a small get together where the families of the prospective spouses will know each other and the family of the groom will state their intent. Traditional marriage is usually when the couples decide to marry in their local style and fulfill with most cultural elements (gifts, foodstuff etc.) being exchanged. Why I decided to vent is when you see couples doing: i. Introduction Ceremony (with cakes and co ) ii. Traditional Wedding Ceremony (Some still do most of what was done in the introduction) iii. Formal Wedding Ceremony (Couple be Islamic Nikkah or Church Wedding depending on their faith) iv. Reception v. After-party Etc. It's just unnecessary complications. |
Sorry please, double post. |
FreeStuffsNG:I beg to slightly differ. Introduction is the first step towards marriage not the major step. As long as there's no weeding ceremony, Introduction is still what it is, Introduction. I dislike seeing people spend so much on Introduction, whereby they can just host the wedding and call it a day. Why do people needlessly complicate their lives? It's better to do a very small introduction ceremony instead of spending huge amount of money on it, whereas it can fund a decent wedding ceremony which will make you HUSBAND AND WIFE. Without a marriage ceremony, no matter how small, both of them are not married. |
Username2780:Lolzzz, na later me self con check the moniker properly. ![]() |
enemyofprogress:Shut it, just shut it! If it's a sarcasm or a joke, you ought to state it at the end. Though I firmly believe it's a joke. Thank God that this isn't the 80s and 90s where those backward movie producers brainwashed many to start killing felines. I'm glad that many are rapidly embracing cats as a major pet. Whoever want to keep being backward should remain so. Victor @The Victor Oye, what a lovely set of cats you've got If you have the time, resources and patience to keep them, be ready for tireless entertainment for the next few months. ![]() I'd advice that you kee them and scout for responsible potential owners who'd come pick them up in the next 2-3months. Also, keep one of the kittens for yourself o ![]() Thanks for being a responsible person who does not see every single animal as food or "village people". |
idonhammer:You don't need to point one finger at me, while pointing four at yourself. The OK Movement alone cannot coast to victory without the structure and support of Atiku, El-Rufai and the rest. Bulk of Nigerians today are tired of the current government, but if you play politics of Emotion instead of logic and compromise, 2023 result is what you'll get. SW enjoyed VP for 8 years, now enjoying the presidency and if Tinubu or Atiku wins they'll still be either No 1&2 most powerful position in Nigeria. Where does that leave the OK Movement? Zero. How hard is this for you to comprehend? |
Legitiscool:They can't stay fully united if each of them wants to be president or nothing else. At some point they all have to compromise if truly their goal is to beat the current government. I'm not saying Obi is a saint, but he'll be a good administrator, and if he's to make headway he has to learn to compromise. Else, he better forget politics. On the issue of Kwankwaso, we are both saying the same thing. Head or Tail, Kwankwaso is the biggest winner in all of these. If some kind of miracle happens and they win, he'll be the vice president to take over from Obi. Then also, if Tinubu wins, he'll have gained southern acceptance through Obi, and no Northern politician bar Atiku will be as formidable as him. Since Atiku is no longer contesting post-2027 the cake is Kwankwaso's to take. |
lebienconnu:He has very good intention, yes but he must be rugged and maintain an active posture in order to rule a country like Nigeria. For God's sake he doesn't have to be president at one go. He'll most likely have the Vice Presidency had he humbled himself. When he comes to politics, President Tinubu is arguably the most formidable politician in Nigeria, but disappointly weak in administration. He stoops low to conquer and swallows embarrassment if it'll get him what he wants. See what happened here when Bukola ignored him and he called him back and greeted him. Can an Atiku, Obi or Kwankwaso stomach such? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DK0ZnL7tW_4/?igsh=MWFoeGsycDNzdTc5Zw== |
This is so painful, but congrats in advance to Tinubu for winning 2027 elections because it seems that Obi and Kwankwaso never learnt anything in 2023. He'll win not because he's popular nor scored excellently in performance, but due to the myopic strategy of the opposition. Since our history as a country from 1960, I doubt there's any president that has weak electoral value like Tinubu, but the opposition keeps fumbling. Now the president will have some relief because the opposition has sabotaged themselves. It seems these people do not know simple BODMAS at all. Stay united and defeat the president or stay scattered and he wins again. They seem to underestimate how dangerously cunning Tinubu is. I mean 2023 was an eye-opener, Ah! Everybody cannot be president at once. Come to a gentleman agreement: this one president, you vice, this one Senate President, you go back to the House, you choose any Ministerial slot that you want etc. This is how Wike retained his power and milked it to the fullest. I don't know what they're trying to prove that has not been proven in 2023. In all of these though, Kwankwaso will be the biggest winner if he plays his cards right by deputizing Obi. His eyes should be on 2031 and he is primed to be the most formidable Northern candidate. |
fergie001:I second this too. It seems these people do not know simple BODMAS at all. Stay united and defeat the president or stay scattered and he wins again.
