So you and the other nutters who have sent me abusive post, can ask the Lord for repentance, and pray that he will forgive you all. As I have forgiven you. Not only I but we all make mistakes. On the contrary, I didn't reply you on the other thread because I already bid you goodbye since 20th Feb and didn't reply you anymore even when you went and modified your last post which I already replied. If you are the least observant you would have know that I didn't post on the 6th page even when I saw so many flaws in your posts. Beside you still have load of proof to present which you decided to skip. On this thread however, you have zero proof of your accusation and am waiting for you to bring it on, till then, you remain a liar. |

brocab: Am I embarrassing myself, to whom? You.
Someone's got to have the glory, "Man" just finding out the truth, about the evilness that comes out from your Church, is a bonus in its self. I question all religions, and if they don't line up with the word of God, then shame on you, an embarrassment to true Christian faith.
And your telling me I am embarrassing myself, listen to yourself, listen you are mocking yourself and the Church you believe in. Matthew 7:20 By their fruits you will know them. Is everyone in your Church always so condemning and abusive? No-wonder, they say your Church have the deepest roots.
Does this sound like the God of heaven? Is this the Religion you have stood by, "Man" people are already turning away from Churches like these-and "everyone" is accountable, for the lost, "everyone". Deuteronomy 6:13 you shall worship the Lord your God and him only-Exodus 20:3-4, "You shall have no other God's before Me. "You shall not make yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them. "For I, the Lord your God.
Amen... Syncan: I Just read your response to SalC above. If you are baptised, you are a catholic. Your not being a member of CYON should not hinder you in anyway, however some parishes in the east especially, do demand that you get clearance from CYON before marriage bans are made. As per PH, I don't think its applicable. What will most likely happen in your case is that you'll be given the catechism book, which you'll be required to read at your spare time. Your marriage course instructor will monitor your progress and aid you along. As long as your card contains the neccesary info, its admissible. However you can take the card to the parish of baptism and they'll give you a new copy. You really have no problem difficult to handle, You can't learn all in a day, but you shouldn't be hiding things from your partner this early stage . Get off my head bro Thanks for your contributions, |

silvoice: Thanks, a million times 4 ur candid comment. Sorry it took me so long to response: my tight schedule. I was baptised as an infant in catholic church. When i was 4yrs, my beloved mum left. So i grew up under an aunt who was a strong protestant penticostal member. She hated catholic and so afta about 15yrs wit her, i was already acustomed to her church, until i met my fiancee. I claimed that am a catholic, when it became obvious that i will marry her, i started goin to catholic church with no knowledge of their teaching, just learning to say the 'hail mary' and others wit style. Yes! I was able to retrieve a very rusty card which i learnt is my baptismal card, from my father's box, cos my girl said they wil ask 4 it. Will they see me as a member wit that partly damaged card? Thanks again 4 ur intrest and time. Yes they will, and you don't even need to be re-baptised. All you need to do is go to your parish priest especially on his office days and explain to him, all you need now a renewal of your profession of faith and this; the priest will help you go through. As for you partially damaged baptismal card, you can still take it to the parish were you were baptised and get it change if you mind. In all, your case isn't such a huge one afterall. It can easily be taken care of so relax and talk to your priest. Again for the prayers you are learning, keep it up and learn those basic ones, you can also ask any of our Catholic brethren here or on "A Thread for Catholics" here on Nairaland and we will be only too glad to help you out. |

silvoice: so comforting to hear from u. We live in diferent city. I wanted her to do hers' at her place but she wanted it together. Which ever way, i need ur candid advice Why I asked is because, if you two are going to attend this course together, it will be hard to keep her from knowing you just converted to the Catholic faith because as a new convert, your lecture will have to go a step further than the normal marriage course for someone who has been a baptised Catholic and knows more about the Catholic teachings and practices. For instance, you will need to learn at least a little of the Cathchesm and may need to make a profession of faith and get baptised to enable you receive the Holy communion on or before your wedding day. You see, it might be difficult for you to do all these secretly without her knowing but it might be possible if you two are attending the course in different cities. But be rest assured that these processes aren't difficult to go through. Aside the above in your case, marriage course is no rocket science, all you need do is walk up to the priest or Cathechist and register for your marriage course, they will tell you everything you need to do, after which your marriage bans will be called for three sundays. Your marriage course on a normal case lasts for three months after which you can choose your wedding date. And yes you can do it in proxy but not like you will have to fix your wedding as far as two years after your marriage course |

brocab: [s]And what kind of a Christian do you call yourself?
ANYBODY can say they are Christian? Without the fear of God-without Christ-the Catholic Church are proud to believe they have the deepest roots, on Ground control.
And tonight's main menu-we have a special called fear is a key to success, Children are taught without the love of Christ-Catholic's teaching their own about the burning purgatory-a frightening moment for God's Children, having sleepless nights, praying to stay awake, so they won't end up in burning purgatory until all their sins have washed away.
Their only escape told by the priest is to pay large amounts of monies-so their sins will be forgiven.
John 10:9, Jesus is the only door into heaven. Mark 2:1-12 Jesus has the power to forgive sins.
This sounds so much like prosperity pentecostal' the more you pay tithes the more you will to be blessed.
What happens with those who can't afford it, will they burn in purgatory too?
Mark 9:42-'And whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hang around his neck, and were thrown into the sea.
Any Catholic's who claim they don't follow after pagan religion, and yet come under the banner of pagan beliefs, are lying not only to themselves but to God.
I have listen to you and your religious beliefs, and it shows clearly anybody who don't follow after your Church, are already condemned. Jesus is knocking but he can't come in.
Any Church who claim they have the deepest roots, have a twisted sense of humour, in worship kissing the feet of a Mary statue, who the pagan God once called Isis Queen of heaven.
Any Church who claim they have the deepest roots, believe Mary-Mother of God, is their mediator, between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5, tells us Jesus is the mediator between God and man.
ANYBODY can say they are Christian?
Any Church who claim they have the deepest roots, Call their priest father. Matthew 23:9 do not call no other man father, only God in heaven is your spiritual Father.
ANYBODY can say they are Christian?
Be a good chappie-is their any lies I have missed, would you correct my mistakes, thank you-we wouldn't want the viewers to know the Church that have the deepest roots follow unbiblical truth. Amen.[/s] When you finish beating about the bush, come back and produce where I told you no Catholic church collect tithe or admit you lied again. brocab: [s]And yes you have, you made your point pretty clear, about my experience in the Catholic Church, backing up your religious groupies. Denying the true facts about your so called Catholic Church.
Purgatory teaches that a Christian soul must burn in purgatory after death until all of their sins are forgiven. And if one pays monies, to a priest they are forgiven. You know its the truth. But you denied it.
The Catholic Church Worship statues, Mary, Queen of heaven- Mother of God, who supposedly sits on a throne in heaven making intercession for Christians, you know its the truth. But you and your groupies denied that too
All Catholic Churches do pass either plates or small baskets to collect monies from the people, "twice" -after reading your Quote it's tithes and offerings, as I had quoted tithes and offerings at the beginning-and you Catholic's denied that too.
You say you hate liars, then get your face out of the mirror, and start speaking the truth, it's a great start to be leaders reaching out to the lost.
Anything you believe the Catholic's can do , Jesus can do it better.
Amen[/s] This is what I usually do when you try to bring in unrelated lies to cover your inability to prove what you said. After reading this page, you have written Catholic Churches do receive tithes.
So is this showing our viewers Nairaland Catholic's are willing to lie against the truth, not letting our pentecostal prosperity believers know, you tithe as much as they do.
You have said it all. ? Amen. I told you to always be sure of what you are saying before quoting me, I hate blatant liars quoting me. Have I ever discussed the Catholic Church and tithing with you? jnrbayano: Good afternoon brethren
In the sorrowful mysteries while praying the rosary, which mystery do you think is the most sorrowful of them all?
For me, I think is the 5th sorrowful mystery which is "the crucifixion and death of our lord Jesus Christ."
I think the mysteries were purposefully arranged from the least sorrowful to the most sorrowful though it also looks like it was arranged in the order each occurred.
What's your opinion... Though all the mysteries are truly sorrowful, the one I find more....not just sorrowful but confusing is "the crowing with thorns" I can't seem to grasp the significance or implication of that. He was crowned.....sure, the crown signifies his kingship, but why with thorns? I don't get it! That's the one that keeps me contemplating longer. |

Antiphon. Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array?
My soul glorifies the Lord, my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour. He looks on his servant in her lowliness; henceforth all ages will call me blessed.
The Almighty works marvels for me. Holy is his name! His mercy is from age to age, on those who fear him.
He puts forth his arm in strength and scatters the proud-hearted. He casts the mighty from their thrones and raises the lowly.
He fills the starving with good things, sends the rich away empty.
He protects Israel, his servant, remembering his mercy, the mercy promised to our fathers, to Abraham and his sons forever.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, Amen.
Antiphon. Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array?

Rich4god: LENTEN MENU: Esther 14:1.3-4.11.13-14, Mt. 7:7-12. God listens to the prayer of the just person and responds generously. This does not exempt us from asking, seeking and knocking. We should constantly seek ways to grow more just and closer to Him. In seeking and asking we discover ourselves and the goodness and kindness of God. We discover our need for Him and learn to trust in Him, and He never lets us down, but always treats us well. We spend a good part of our lives asking for things from people who have more than we have, or who have greater knowledge than ourselves. We ask because we are in need. Often the act of asking is the contact we have with God. If we never asked for anything we would end up in a sort of vacuum in a kind of false, impoverished self-sufficiency. The most important part of our life and of our being involves our asking and our giving. God's goodness to us obliges us to be good to others as well. When we ask for things we acknowledge that we are in needs. When we give we become aware of the limitless riches God has placed in our hearts. A large part of our relationship with God is shaped by our petition, the rest depending on our gratitude towards Him. When we ask Him for things we are admitting and confessing our radical insufficiency. Asking makes us humble; what's more, we give our God the opportunity of showing us that He is our Father. May the spoken words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts win God's favour! Amen! Good morning and have pleasant day!!! Amen Amen. May God satisfies our needs as we humbly ask. |
