Papist: Brothers and sisters good evening. I'm still new here. I'm posting this to express my outrage over what I believe to be sacriledge in a Catholic Church in Belgium. Please forgive me if you don't share my opinion. It is also an old story that I just read now: it's from 2006. Apparently some Muslim refugees were offered a place of safety in a Catholic Church in Brussels. Now to make the Muslims feel comfortable, the Altar was moved and a statue of the Blessed Virgin was covered by a piece of cloth. I once again seek your patience but I got the impression that the guests in the Catholic Church were seen here to be more important than the Holy Altar and the Blessed Virgin and I am outraged. What do you think about this my brothers and sisters? Never heard of this though, but I share your sentiment here, we can't relegate our identity and belief to the background just to please people. They knew it was a Catholic church before they came to seek refuge so why do we have to move the alter and cover the statue. So they won't desecrate it? I think not. |

atlwireles: Just like Israel, the opposition won in the media, mostly the western media. But the people of Israel knew they were jokers. Please be prepared for your shock come March 28th. Exactly not just the western media. Listening to the iranian owned Press TV in the past few weeks, it was as if Netanyahu has already lost it especially after his speech to the republicans against iran's nuclear deal. I was surprised to know he still won at the polls. |

Gombs:

No doubt.
My point actually. Christembassey an his ilk are bent on proving that.
Noted.
I noticed that. However, I believe a lesson or two have been noted. I too noted alot too.
Nothing wrong with that. His conviction was right, if Jeff played a fast one, assumed or outrightly lied, then, it in no way makes Jo a fraud... Does it?
Now hold on ranger... He wasn't asking Jeff to prove it, I think he asked Sirjohn to verify. Those are two different things. No?
I concur.
Yeah...like I said, a lesson or two were learnt, even though sirjohn was dubious in his dealings to an extent.
Yeah. I'm here o... For the long run. Glad you are here too. You know, I wished majority folks here were able to hold a discussion as apt and objective as you just did. But right from the onset of this thread,...supposed Christians... I can't even express their attitude in proper terms.
Have you noticed, upon our difference in beliefs, you, candour and a handful are able to hold civility in discuss. Thank you
 Haven't you? Amazing. Noted.
Cheers Joagbaje: Hmmm, this thread again.....? Seem naira land is boring so some joagbaje issue is needed around. @ Gombs Sirjohn is john is just one dishonest guy who love praise of men. My response to this thread explains my true position. If Jeff claimed he was healed why not let him prove it . Rather john was going behind to polute jeff mind against cooperating with me in the investigation. What's john afraid of. I will mail my conversation with him to you. @Gombs I was referring to the bold when I said he is asking Jeff to prove it. Btw I am not one of those calling him a fraud. And why won't I be civil, we've come a long way na |

Gombs: I was about typing a concise reply, but common sense prevailed. I'd let you bask in your 'glory'.
Abeg na, no flog me.
Being a while too, I trust you're good ma'am! Lol Gombs good morning There is really no concise reply for you to type.....Joagbaje is a victim of faith, fate, and too easy a trust without verification. I am not one to believe Joagbaje deliberately lied or recruited anyone to act anything. At least I saw no pointer to that as yet. My ish with him is "He came to such a public forum, challenged and staked his money for SirJohn to investigate a healing he himself did not verify" According to him on this thread, he never saw the Lab result proving Jeff has became negative, he didn't also see any doctors certification to this effect. He merely accepted what Jeff told him without evidence simply because he had "faith" or in his own words, "He was sure the person he prayed for on that day got healed". This is why i said he is a victim of faith and trust, but fate worked against him. Now he is saying Jeff should prove he was healed since he claimed so expecting us to completely exonerate him and now you too want us to give him a gold medal for being an upright man right? The truth is, he shouldn't have staked his money on something he didn't see and confirmed beyond any reasonable doubt. So it not a matter of you defending him, he was lied to by Jeff and he swallowed the lies and also wanted us to believe what he said. He should be thanking SirJohn for making him know the truth, I believe after this incidence, he will have to verify every claim before airing them. Bros am good, God has be gracious, I thought you have disappeared glad to know you are still here. And oh I won't flog you joor else who will give me the data you wanted to give me or won't I watch the clip again? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Joagbaje’s Miracle HIV Healing Claim Debunked by SalC: 6:13pm On Mar 16, 2015 |
Gombs: Wait for it bro... he has 'concluded' his investigations... i am doing mine. Got to find out what Sirjohn told Jeff... more of like coercion, or should i say "making Jeff an offer" to get him to 'give him all he wants'
emmmm... Sir John, Mike is fine. How could you publish someone else's medical report online without permission? Who does that? and stop twisting what Mike said, mike simply told you, better put, warned you not to try such thing you did with Jeff on him, else, he'd fly to Lagos, and jail you for life. ... that sure silenced you. You think everywhere is like NL where you think you can trample on anyone as you wish?
I found out that all the while, you had little intention of establishing whether there was a miracle, this was all to 'bring Joagbaje down.' I'd try to get Jo here, just that he's so busy and a lot of you all cannot understand. So stop painting a picture that Jo is running from you all or such... Worse still for N500,000.
you did not wait for conclusion on the investigation, you are here asking for N500,000...after jo has proved himself trustworthy throughout your 'investigation', and not interfered except you ask him to, you still are here claiming?
wait let me get to Bayelsa again.
I'd be back. Gombs sometimes you make me feel like flogging you The issue here isn't about whether Jo is upright, humble, or truthful. The challenge was for Sirjohn to prove Jeff was not healed of HIV which he has. However he went about it is his choice as an investigator as far as he didn't torture the guy into telling lies. So if whatever you are going to post won't prove Sirjohn lied, while Jeff was truly healed please save us that and channel that energy towards posting on the rhapsody thread. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Netanyahu - Isreal PM ...don't Repeat Mistakes Of The Past! by SalC: 4:27pm On Mar 15, 2015 |
Raiders: I meant the land that is currently the "country of Israel" belongs to the Palestinian before their land was stolen by those European Jewish occupiers in 1947. The original occupier are the people of Palestinian before their land was stolen. How would you feel if some group of European come to your village and displace your people by claiming the land belong to them and that God gave them the land 3000 years ago so the people of your village should move out because the land belong to them now. Will your villagers not fight back to claim their land? There is a reason why I chose to tread carefully on this Israeli Palestine issue. There is a lot to consider here. For instance, till date, there are still enough archaeological evidence to prove the land belongs to Israel and there has never been any time the palestinian claim to be Israelis. Is it any wonder that an arab country or region "palestine" is bearing known Jewish names like Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron etc? Do you know that in history, there were actually Israelis who never left that land even when most of them went into exile? Ie they have always lived there as far back as 3000 years ago. It was even this same Israel who liberated west bank from Jordan and Gaza from Egypt during the six day war? If Palestine claim to be the owners of the land, they should tell the world at what point in history did they become the owners, who were there leaders from then, where was there capital, what's there national currency etc It's funny saying the Israelis who returned were actually European because even when they were in Europe, they maintained their Jewish identity that's why Hitler was able to fish them out and send them to the gas chambers. It is true that generations passed and those who left inter-married with europeans thereby making their offspring of mixed blood, their identity was still there. That said, I don't support the aggression Israel is melting out to these people today. I think the Idf should withdraw from West bank like they did in Gaza strip. They should also discontinue the building of their settlements in West bank and East Jerusalem. They should release their seized tax fund. I will love it if they can go back to the pre 1967 borders though I don't see this happening soon because of Israel's control of the Golan Heights. In all I blame the crazy Arabs countries who lead the six day war more. Their determination to annihilate a newly created state of Israel led to all these. |

Act 13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. Lol |
