eagleu: Stark illiteracy! Before the justice Junaidu boundary adjustment, how many of those wells were in Igboland?
If they stop the flow of free corrupt oil to Yorubas, a lot of them will die of starvation, but the few that may survive will be more realistic, less boastful, and less subservient to Hausa Fulani overlords..
Lol. A Igbo from the poverty capital of the south is also talking.
If they stop free corrupt oil proceeds flow to the Sad East, all of you will die of starvation because nothing is happening in those dead states except Anambra.
You will all turn more refugees like you always do by littering the whole Nigeria like people running from a war torn area.
Chidecmail: [s]Please do not expose your level of stupidity and poor education in forums like this cuz foreigners are here too. Look at your so called Nigerian map, have you asked yourself why the so called SE geopolitical zone is in the middle of the place you called SS?. That's to tell there is nothing like SS geopolitical zone in geography but because your a black man you love evil and the truth is lost in you as long as the evil benefits you. Your black lives don't matter to the white bcoz they see stupidity beyond their imaginations in you.[/s]
Bluntguy: Or you are a tiger in a snail race? You have simply refused to understand that Obaseki is not Ambode, you are not Tinubu, and Edo no be Lagos.
Just like Edo is not Abia that will vote PDP blindly!
Advocate500: u failed to mention abia state where oil is in large deposits. The area of rivers state where u have major oil exploration is echi which shares border with abia state and ohaji egbema which some parts is imo while the other is in rivers state, emouha is the only parts in ikwere where oil exploration is going on, so stop misleading people one day the truth will come to bare.
Forget all this super story. The only truth here is that Ondo state produces more oil than any state in your region based on available data.
Uchek: Focus on the issue. Why was Awolowo lamenting on the fake Nigeria he helped in sustaining?
Last I know, Azikwe was the person that sustained Nigeria in the first place. While the rest of the founding fathers were telling him to input secession clause, Azikwe was busy telling them it’s good we remain one forever and any secession should be treason.
Uchek: Address the issue rather making empty cliches and ad hominem attacks. Was Awolowo crying over spilled milk or not? Would be be writing this letter of he had supported Aburi Accord or supported Biafran self-determination?
At this stage you should engage in evidence-based argument.
Why should he support Aburi Accord? Was he there when the decision was made?
Why should he support the Biafran self-determination? Is he an Igbo man?
You igbos should stop declaring everybody that don’t support your cause as your enemy. It is childish and rubbish.
Awo did everything he could do to support his tribe just like Ojukwu did all he could for his people.
If you’re gonna blame anyone, blame Ojukwu for losing the war or hail Ojukwu for fighting the war and leave the Yoruba and Awo our of this.
NwaAro: Banjo captured the biggest prize in Biafran history? egbon stop trying too hard to sound like a half-wit here. There were many many spectacular military campaigns scored by the Biafrans during the war, so many to mention, but for the records, the recapture of Owerri from Federal hands along with many towns in the Southern axis of Biafra are notable prizes among several others. Indeed the successful annexation of the Midwest region by the Biafrans was the biggest campaign carried out by the Biafrans in the early stage of the war, but don't be fooled into thinking Banjo was some military genius or strategist, he was only a product of fate and favorable military conditions and factors. Now for context, the Midwest was a buffer region (it was seen as neutral), and the region was poorly defended by the Federal troops who were focused on invading Biafra from the Northern borders of Enugu, (remember the military governor of the Midwest Colonel Ejoor made it clear his region was not part of the war, and as such didn't see the need for the militarization of his region by the Federal government) - also the Midwestern region had a preponderance of Ika-Ibo officers and men commanding key positions in the Midwest. So of course these Ika or Anioma officers collaborated with the invading Biafran troops (their Igbo brothers from the East) to make the capture of the region relatively easy. Banjo didn't even have to commit his men to much fighting as the Nigerian soldiers who were outnumbered and overwhelmed simply deserted their positions with hardly any fight and fled to Lagos.
When you talk of BRILLIANT military minds of Biafran stock, then you mention the likes of Joe Achuzia- the same man who not only was on record for many spectacular feats, but also showed Colonel Muritala Muhammed hell in Onitsha Awka and Abagana etc, Achuzia forced Colonel Muritala into shameful resignation of his command after his division suffered terrible casualties to Achuzia in the series of bloody battles that raged across the Niger and through the Northern sector of Biafra.
Banjo sabotaged the whole Biafran advance to Lagos by ordering his troops to halt at Ore even when they had the momentum of speed and surprise at their disposal. It was that tactical disaster or lack thereof by Banjo that gave the Nigerian troops enough time to reorganize and put up some resistance at Ore... just enough to buy time for the Federal government of Nigeria to quickly build a formidable new division under Colonel Muritala's command. Ojukwu made the biggest mistake of the war by entrusting the command of such critical importance and mission into the hands of a Yoruba man(that's like giving command of a legion of demons to the Devil to invade and capture Hell fire) makes no sense logically and tactically, after all Banjo was a Yoruba man, so why the hell would he lead Igbo soldiers to capture his region? ... But Ojukwu did it out of good faith cause Victor Banjo was supposed to be his friend. History argues in hindsight that had Ojukwu given command of the Midwest to a Midwestern officer... the story would have been different, and maybe Lagos would have been successful captured, and the Federal side forced to the negotiation table.
Forget about all this super stories, Banjo captured Ore and he is the commander.
Of course due to the Igbo that you are, you will always bring a thousands reasons to show Banjo is a nobody and try to diminish his impact on the Biafran history.
Personally, I don’t feel pity for Banjo and I think he deserved what happened to him because that will be a major lesson to other Yoruba folks that think they could support the Igbos against their own.
At the end, the Ibo man will never acknowledge any help you do coz he is by nature an ingrate.
You can find a thousand thesis to show Banjo is a nobody to Biafra but history will always remember that he commanded the capture of Mid-west.
One other person that doesn’t deserve my pity is Adekunle Fajuiyi, he shouldn’t have shown courage or comradeship in falling with Ironsi because an Ibo man will Never return the favor.
As a Yoruba guy, I don’t feel any pity for Col. Banjo.
He is part of some Yoruba that think they can be more Jesus than the messiah.
The Igbos paid him back by taking his life without honor and I’ve not heard of where they honor him even when he was part of their history & victory in the Biafran war.
That should be an example to any other foolish Yoruba man that thinks he can support the Igbos against his own people.
So Banjo deserve not iota of tears or pity from me.
You can deny your heritage as much as you like but Google Earth show always have the street name and coordinate and you can clearly see Enugu written clearly on them.
I have hundred of those images of Enugu but wouldn’t want to derail the thread further.
But if you continue to deny your heritage, I will continue to upload them
