In line with this request, I will be posting about some who have bought from me here. Unfortunately, I had not been requesting for their user ID. This I am doing for more credibility. He is a naira lander from Ile Ife. He plants pepper (rodo) and other vegetables. He had been seeing this thread but he refused to call or make enquiries. Infact he is an ardent follower here. Yet he needs a raingun but didnt believe all he reads.

Fast forward, he met a friend of mine at Ibadan where he had gone to buy seeds. After some exchange and banters he was given my number. He purchased it. So while we were talking I told him I equally advertise on nairaland.

@ saliubello,thanks for making this rain guns available to many. It has raised hope among many farmers. I do have a question, when u refer to the ranges of the rain guns aint they also in diameter? Correct me if I'm wrong,Are rain guns ranges not specified based on diameter length of a covered area when the sprinkler complete one full circle rotation, or are these rain guns particularly unique?

You are absolutely correct. For the sprinkler head that have fixed positions i quoted in diameter. But the raingun is quoted in radius, this is because the horsepower of your pump changes the figure you get. Your 5.5hp mud pump gives you 32m diameter. So it could vary. but by and large, this is compensated by the length of the hose from water pump.

I advise you to use a pressure pump as well. I have sold to some persons in abuja. Prepare N2500 for delivery through one of the popular courier/transporters. You will receive it as described.

The 20 meters radius means approx 65.5feet radius or a diameter of 131 feet. I hope this is correct?
what pipe diameter is this particular rain gun(20 meters/65.5 feet) coupled to? 1,2 or 3 inches pipe? If I were to oder for 2 (=N=20,000)can you deliver to Asaba Delta state?
Finally, what is the cost of the 25 meter radius rain gun and what pipe size is it coupled to.

1. the required pipe is 1.5inch to cover 131ft diameter as opined.
2. N20000 for 2 piece to asaba. excluding N2500 for delivery via transporters.
3. The 20m raingun cost N30000.

Do I need to power it with electricity?

No. Diesel or gasoline engines will do the job as most farms are not connected to the National grid
