Former Oyo State governor and PDP governorship candidate in 2015, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala has given the reason he dumped the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC) for Action Democratic Party, and why he did not join the opposition party People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC).

According to the ex-governor of the state, Alao-Akala said that the fear of the unknown and perceived ideological differences stopped him from joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He made this revelation while speaking on a Yoruba interview programme on Lagelu FM on Monday morning declared that, “once beaten is twice shy”.
According to him, moving to either PDP or ADC after he boycotted the APC governorship primary that produced a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Bayo Adelabu may end up exposing him to another round of unpalatable experience likening to be ‘from frying pan to fire.’

“I have seen what APC did to us and we must be highly cautious this time. Abinitio, we didn’t join APC because of positions and I told my supporters too that they shouldn’t expect much there. I, however, hinted that if we were offered positions, we would accept them. “I have been governor before and there is nothing new in my aspiration again if not for the need to heed the clarion call of the masses. I have left the APC and I am now in Action Democratic Party.”

When asked why he didn’t join forces with the PDP flagbearer, Engr. Seyi Makinde. He said:

“I am his senior in PDP and we left same time. He has gone back to PDP. He is a personality with the rare gift of bringing people together. But maybe because of the people around him, he didn’t listen to advice. I can’t join forces with PDP this time around although no permanent enemy or friends in politics.”

On the closure of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Alao-Akala said,

“LAUTECH issue normally brings sadness to me because I saw it’s current problems coming when I was in office and that was why I moved to severe the relationship with Osun. We have shared our assets before I left but I became worried when the government of the day reviewed it and this is where it has led us.”

According to the Qur'an
1) what type of foof is forbidden for Muslims:

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَأَن تَسْتَقْسِمُوا بِالْأَزْلَامِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌ ۗ الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا ۚ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّإِثْمٍ ۙ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

“Forbidden to you for food are: the dead animals (not slaughtered), blood, the flesh of swine, and the meat of that which has been slaughtered as a sacrifice for other than Allah, or has been slaughtered for idols, or on which Allah’s Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering; and that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by the goring of horns – and that which has been partly eaten by a wild animal – unless you are able to slaughter it before its death; and that which is sacrificed on stone altars. Forbidden also is to use arrows seeking luck or decision, all that is disobedience of Allah and sin.” [al-Māʼidah 5:3]

2) are Muslims allowed to eat food from christains or jews..
Answer: This day I have made lawful to you all that is good, and the slaughtered meat of the People of the Book (jews and christains) is halāl for you and your slaughtered meat is halāl for them.” [Quran 5:6].
So in other wordsYes!!! Because they're not considered as idol worshippers by the Quran and we believe in principle we came from the same Abrahamic religion (hanif) and thus worship the same God in "principle"... Though concept tends to differ when we expatiate... The verse quoted above also made our food lawful to them...

So as long as the food served by a Christian or jew doesn't contain the unlawful foods contained in the first question like pork, ham, meat offered for idols or blood meal and not properly slaughtered... Ee Muslims are allowed to eat and ask for more self if possible

Some of the Popular leaves here in Yorubaland all have a name, lest i forget, depending on the area you are. Meaning you might know some herbs name in Hausa, while some people may be talking about the same herbs, but would seem the person is not right or saying rubbish.

In this short article, I will be revealing the English names of some common herbs in Yoruba land together with their uses.

Parsley (Effirin)

The English name of is Parsley, it’s referred to Parsley in Yoruba. Parsley has so many health benefits for a wide range of symptoms and diseases.
It is from Petroselinum plant, the parsley plant and parsley essential oil have been used as a natural detox remedy, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, diuretic and agent for centuries in folk medicine.

As of now, researched back up health claims about we’ve got for the plant.

Cayenne Pepper (Ata Gun Gun)

Cayenne pepper is referred to Ata gun gun in the Yoruba language. It’s not only in the Yoruba land, but also among the other cultures in Nigeria.
