The way the question were fair, repeated and most candidates bragging of high score is making me uneasy. Surely they won't send our actual score, i hope to be among the lucky ones. |

Stanley what's the correct answer? You could be right, biology is a very scary subjects to me with the twists and turns. We have to be sure. |

Optimist1998: Divergent evolution: Different species of an organism arise from one father/ancestor. Convergent evolution: Similar organisms but completely different ancestors. For example We look alike but we're actually from different parents. we only look the same because we occupy similar habitats--planet earth. Hope you get the picture? Thank you, the past question chooses something different from my note, so I had to ask. However, I'm viewing in a way of body structure. For instance a toad can respire through it skin while pisces respire through the gills. In short it's entirely two different structure that serves the same function. I suggest this is convergent but past question says NO!. What do you think? |

Optimist1998: You mustn't forget that water and steam are two different states of matter, so if you're referring to water; ice is less dense than water--> the reason why ice cubes will float in your cup of water. Steam is the least dense of them all. The answer to that question is A. Option A, for volume to decrease it means corresponding increase in density. With what you've explained density in decreasing order would be water➡ice➡steam. Is that it? |
Education › Re: UTME 2017: Thread For Science Jambites by SamanN: 4:28pm On Apr 18, 2017 |
Optimist1998: Steam occupies a larger volume when compared to ice. Since it has more volume, density would be lesser than ice. Density= mass/volume more volume less density Higher density lower volume. Ice has less volume more density than steam Have you seen ice floating on steam before? You should ask the author this question Thank you the point he made is, ice float on water cos of it's lower density; higher volume. Please check the past question year '97 Q25. What answer do you get? |
