It is indeed easier said than done. Forex trading no hard oo na we no wan stay disciplined.

I decided to review my trade history to see the areas I need to improve on. I realized this: My greatest loss was when I delayed placing my stoploss cuz I needed to attend to my baby. I came back a few mins later to see that it has gone against me. I kept hoping it wld reverse at some key levels but no (I trade only Nasdaq and US30). I held the Nas position overnight (something I don't usually do) cuz I was still hopeful. During the news, it dipped further To cut the long story short, I suffered a 3k plus loss the next day. I had to close it eventually when I remembered that account preservation is sacrosanct. I couldn't imagine losing a 200k account God gifted me straight from heaven.

I felt so bad that I contemplated going on a long break but I remembered that after such long candles, the reversal is always sweet to ride. So I went on standby mode and asked for God's help. I had to rebuke the spirit of indiscipline and fear cuz warrisdis!

To the glory of God, I've recovered all I lost because God helped me to maintain discipline. I entered the next trade only when I spotted my setup and I did that with appropriate risk management. I've broken even from almost 3% drawdown. Now my psychology is not messed up anymore.

I reiterate again, forex market no hard, na we no wan remain disciplined. Please learn from my mistakes 🙏

Brilliant. It is fine to be in DD. It is a sign you are not indiscipline. It is fine to struggle with passing the accounts. It is okay to breach an account gradually. Every successful traders passed tru it. It is not okay to just breach account in few days or hitting 5% in a day on a prop acct. It is sign of indiscipline. Not news, not market, not broker. Glad you accepted responsibility. I hope you will take your remaining account wit the seriousness they deserved.

It is sad to read something like this, the account is barely two weeks and I you likely traded it like it’s a competition account.
Kaybe7000 and Infofirst are being blunt with the truth.

I think we all should be blunt with the truth too, knowing the cost of living and how this industry is difficult.
I still have my alpha 5k account and only 3 trades has been taken so far.
No need to rush. Do well to journal your trades, when you do, there will be improvements even if you don’t go back to read it from time to time but your mind will reflect back to it and you will most likely not repeat the same mistake but I will advice you go over your journals every weekend as you backtest.

God bless you sire.. I can see why they say "best loosers win" true true. If not for the BE exit now, I won't have the confidence to stay in the trade anymore, poor me for Don close finding excuse that today is Friday yenyenyen ..

After spending so much time reading "the subtle art of not giving a f*k" recommended by samfelly, especially that chapter that says Failure is the way forward... But poor me is still afraid to fail
