yes it still creeps in, a friend of mine abbreviated some words in his resume , he sent to me to review and i shouted at him, abbreviation and short syntax kills writing, all my text are nairaland are mostly long because i don't abbreviate. it's a bad practice.

Yeah, a very bad practice. Thanks for sharing that little piece. I used to be very good at abbreviations until I used it in exams.... Long story short, I have repented, except for the use of 'u' instead of 'you'... The thingy no gree stop

Alright, don't know if you still write essays/applications but I believe if u get too used to 'abbreviations' there is a chance u use them in the real life. Me looking out for u is to help u avoid the above scenario..... cheesy
