Good evening everyone. Hopefully we’re keeping safe and healthy. Find below the steps to Join zoom Meeting for GST302 Presentation

1. Go through https://elearn.nouedu2.net.
2. Type in your username and password.
3. On the dashboard, click on GST302.
4. On the GST302 course page, Scroll down to incubation centre briefings/presentation.
5. Below incubation centre briefings/presentation, chick on the zone you belong to.
6. On the zone meeting page, click on the Green Button ‘Join Meeting’ (if you are using your phone to join the presentation session, you have to download the zoom application).

Also below is schedule for presentation according to study centres. Students are expected to adhere strictly to their dates.

Presentation starts by 8am to 5pm each day.

1. Lagos 4th, 5th and 28th
2. Abeokuta 12th, 13th and 29th
3. McCarthy 23rd, 25th and 30th
4. Mushin 6th and 7th
5. Iwo 19th and 20th
6. Ibadan 21st and 22nd

➡Reminder!!!! TMA1 closes in 3days make sure you do yours

➡However, if there was a course without TMA questions at the beginning, you're advised to recheck and confirm that the questions are still not available before closure of TMA 1.

➡We have just four days left for GST302, the date might not be extended

As for GST TMA, all of TMA 1 to 3 would close same day currently in July.


↪Your GST 302 Presentation would likely be presented online if the pandemic still persist as usual via zoom other than physical defense. Even if you choose to defend at your incubation centre.

Press Release on Alleged Shutting Down of Portal

The Management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is aware of murmurings this week, especially in the social media, that the University's portal has been shut down, thereby hampering efforts by students and candidates for admission to conduct their registration.

The Management hastens to categorically state that the assertion is a mere rumour created by some idle minds.

The portal of the University remains open.

However, Management wishes to indicate that the students and candidates seeking admission will definitely encounter a hitch in the second leg of the registration process these days which has nothing to do with the University portal.

There are two steps in completing registration at NOUN. The first is the one on the University portal and the second is the one at the study centre of one's choice. Whilst the first can be successfully done from any location, a student or candidate for admission is required to go to his or her chosen study centre to complete the registration.

Understandably, it has become impossible to finish one's registration in the second and final leg due to the ongoing lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.

However, students should take note that if one has not been able to complete one's registration in this semester, he or she can do so in the next semester. This shows that we are flexible, unlike the conventional universities.

Management calls on all NOUN students to strictly adhere to the stay at home order and other safety protocols in order to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and survive to continue with their educational pursuits in the near future.

Good Morning all

I hope we are all safe at this turbulent time. Please try as much as possible to stay indoor cos a lot of people already have the virus but no sign yet, I can categorically tell you that in the next few days more cases will be confirmed, at this moment some people have even come out to say they are having symptoms or are positive but NCDC is not giving them due attention this is to tell you the numbers we are seeing is not the reality.

Please avoid the banks for now, stock up essentials and try to protect yourself as much as you can if you need to go out.

NOUN is aware of all going on around the world so TMA and registration have been extended, TMA 1 is not closing soon, registration is not also closing soon. Don't let anyone put you under unnecessary pressure.

PRESS RELEASE

NUC Approves 6 Programmes for NOUN

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given full accreditation to six academic programmes at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

The programmes are:

* Accounting
* Banking and Finance
* Business Administration
* Marketing
* Public Administration
* Hotel and Catering Management

The implication of this status is that NOUN now has the mandate to run these programmes for five years.

The cheering news was conveyed to the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Abdalla Uba Adamu, in a letter dated 19th March, 2020 and signed by Maryam Sali, the NUC Director of Accreditation, on behalf of the Executive Secretary.

The NUC has the statutory mandate to accredit academic programmes in all Nigerian universities.

Certificates issued to students admitted into unaccredited programmes are not recognised.

The latest approval given to NOUN was sequel to the result of an NUC-organised accreditation visitation to the university in Abuja in October/November 2019.

The result of the visitation showed an impressive score for each of the six programmes, ranging from 78.7 percent to 97.4 percent.

The VC, Professor Adamu, expressed delight with the approval, saying this shows the readiness of NOUN to fulfill its obligations as a centre of excellence in the Open and Distant Learning (ODL) mode of education.
