Let's also not forget that most of the tribalism is limit to IWC marks. A lot of these wrestlers have trained together or met multiple times in the indie circuit so they know each other on a professional or personal level.

It's below a million because they're not dedicated watchers, they aren't fans. But they watch. They are aware. Even if it's just the short clips on YouTube, they watch. AEW isn't invisible, WWE fans acknowledge their existence.

Their last show was sold out though. Their picking momentum.

I don't need to watch the show to see Cody promos online, but it isn't same for Steph. I guess I have to go the dark web to find some.

Ricky Saints or Starks, courtesy demands that you prepare their names before debuting. It's has always been that way and it's logical. Even if you're changing their name, do it before debut. It's highly unprofessional.
The commentators knowing her isn't the problem, but calling her the hottest free agent without acknowledging where she has been before is laughable. Same thing with Cargill, Mrs 'Reknown Wrestler' but some how you don't watch AEW, lol. Her contract signing pic had a lot of views too.😂

Whether smarks or casual, the point is it's laughable saying WWE fans don't know or watch AEW, the receipts keep showing otherwise.

Back to Mariah, why is she challenging for the title just yet, she just came in. Somebody make this make sense.

Finally, do we have any proper Stephanie Vaqeer promo or interview online, it's so hard to find. Ring work is the main thing, but you still have to be able to sell yourself.

Just watched Mariah's debut and I must say I don't know which is worse - debuting Thekla and promoting her with an underwhelming and negative story of her, or - check this out - debuting Mariah May without a name!😂😂😂 The commentary team didn't even know what to call her. Are we supposed to call her Glamorous?😂😂 These companies are 'k*lling' me.😂 The reason people are not enjoying wrestling anymore, asides the realization that it's fake, is because they do things that don't make sense and they expect that we should overlook it because it's 'wrestling.' Are you going to tell a pro-wrestling enthusiast that? Geez. It's small, but it's a reflection of the entire business too. The good news is I was able to get a good laugh from it.
One more thing, the crowd, commentator and WWE social media seem to know her well. I thought they didn't watch AEW. Liars.

I know people change clubs but consider my first point. I know she loves WWE hence I'm hoping AEW isn't just a means to an end for her, it could end up disastrous. Yes, she looks like your average WWE diva, they had people people over there calling her dollar store Tiffany - I wonder what they think now that she's debuted there. Good luck to her.
Speaking of Thekla, AEW did a bad job debuting her. Not only didn't they do it professionally (through vingnettes and interviews) they had the commentary team telling us how she got fired from stardom by striking her boss. Who the hell introduces an audience to a wrestler like that?! Geez!

mixed feelings. Leaving a company that gave you a world title even when you didn't deserve it; justified no one was stepping up. Was it just a means to an end? How have they(WWE) utilized their AEW guys since they came in? Also she looks WWE'sh anyway so it's probably more her fit.
AEW got Thekla, WWE got Mariah. What do you think?

like it's a taboo to vacate titles. Titles are vacated regularly. I know vacating the title protects the wrestler. They don't look weak going up. How's the perception of Stephanie going up now that she's lost? The first impression is that she's arrived a loser. Perhaps it's why they don't make impact initially when they arrive. Compare with Asuka who never lost. Before she debuted, they had a match for who would get to face her. That's how I see it. I always apply logic to these debates.
