Taye4j: You are spot on ! During regionalism, SW's means of revenue generation was majorly from agriculture (cocoa - I still remember the cocoa house in Ibadan till date). With that agriculture, our fathers were able to bring a sustainable development to the region with free education at the fore front.
SW has a good land for a mechanized farming with capable and intelligent minds to ensure good agricultural produce. All we need is the political will and to ensure all hands are on deck and ensure we put Agbekoya, OPC, Amotekun etc there for protection.
Trust me, if there is any region that I believe can come together and do wonders with whatever meagre resources they possess, I believe it's the SW. Yoruba youths no wan go into agriculture ni They are doing big boy. For now, they're tapping into tech industry. But I know very soon, they will embrace agriculture in mass. |

jneutron4000: Sure but we Yorubas needs to stop that Omoluabi attitude, it is really hindering our progress and Nigerians are taking us for granted too much especially those from the east. Many thing we created are taken away from us example WNTV, they took it and turned it to NTA, the Nigeria embassy in London and I think South Korea used to be Western Nigeria consulate, Nigeria took it and turned to Nigerian embassy, Our farm settlements Obj took it, our ports and so many other things and we allowed and did not all because of Omoluabi attitude. I think we all need to email the DAWN commission and Oodua Investments to create the Yoruba Nation Airways (YNA) and FAAN has to approve it,,at least there are individuals and private airline owners in Nigeria. True you're correct. Liberism is good, but very bad in Nigeria. It is just affecting us negatively. I will email them about the said airline. |

jneutron4000: I hope too, we are too big not to have a Yoruba National carrier, even Kenya that is not up to us both in Population and even in economic size has her own Airways. The Economy of Lagos alone is bigger than that of Kenya, now imagine when we had that of Ogun and other Yoruba states, we are more than Capable. This should be part of Yoruba common wealth, even Yoruba abroad can have bonds and investments in it, if the state governors are not thinking of putting money in it. Na this One Nigeria that's holding the glory of South West But aside that, the idea is good if only the govs and leaders can see through it. All I know is, Yorubas has this kind blood that, whenever we were being lead astray or making this stupid mistakes. We will always come back to our senses and do the needful. |

AmazingELixir:

No problems so long as the funding of the commission will be from the proceeds of resources in their region.
We the Niger Delta people are tired of feeding a whole bunch of ungrateful people. Do you also know the amount of money the Federal government generates from Lagos port, Oyo border, Ogun border? do you know the amount of money Fg generates from Ondo cocoa? do you know the amount of money Fg generates from Oil in Ondo state? do you know the amount Fg generates from Osun gold? Or is it All the South South states that produces oil? As long as FG continues to generate money from each region, then dey deserve to be fed with the proceeds from the region. Fg are currently eyeing of SE gas, let's see what the SE govs will do in the nearest future! |

Taye4j: You read my mind, Yorubas are too big not to have an airline. Do we want to say we don't have at least one rich man in the Yoruba land that can take up this business?
It seems their eyes are not opened to the aviation sector at the moment. You can email Oodua investment company for your suggestions. or you email DAWN. you've written well. |

[s] Tranquillity360: Double mouth tribe. [/s] Yorubas can do without you and your tribe. You wailed during the establishment of Amotekun. Wasn't it formed? You're purging on this also. Mind you, We have Development agenda of western region already in place (or how do you think the railway came about ). We will also have South West development commission. NB: SWDC is from the Nigeria purse, DAWN is from the 6 western states purse. The Attorneys-General include Sir Charles Titiloye (Ondo); Mr. Femi Akande (Osun); Prof. Oyewo Oyelowo, SAN (Oyo); Mr. Gbolahan Adeniran (Ogun); Mr. Olawale Fapohunda (Ekiti) and Mr. Moyo Onigbanjo, SAN (Lagos). The funniest thing is that, these sets of attorneys are the ones that made Amotekun passed into law. This will also be passed by God grace. |

Dovegrey: The spate of insecurity has continued to increase in the country, with the rate of the most crimes now at a record high. Indiscriminate killing, kidnapping, and armed robbery have continued to thrive in Nigeria, and unfortunately our security forces and the federal government have also continued to fail Nigerians.
These are the most dangerous states in the Nigeria 1.Borno state 2.Zamfara state 3.Katsina state 4.Anambra state 5.Kaduna state 6.Ogun state 7.Niger state 8.Kogi state 9.Sokoto state 10.Benue state 11.Kano i rather sleep inside bush than borno state The list is in Order. Sentiment aside. but kogi or Niger should be replaced with Rivers state. |

Vistra40: If you are talking about a candidate that the South west adopted, then I can agree but still it doesn’t make Obasanjo less a yoruba man. You made it sound as though igbos never voted for any yoruba. I may concede that they did not support a consensus candidate by your people because right from time, the East always aligned with the north politically more than the west Do you know why I quote you? Because you are among the Igbos that say the truth. I wonder why some of your breathern thinks we betrayed them in 2015, whereas West has never align with the North in the history of Nigeria. except 2015. |
