I came across this page during Covid 2020 . I bought few domains from 2020-2022 sold like 3-4 around those period . My highest sales then was 350. So i stopped domaining because of Japa so fast forward to this month something told me to check the page out as I believe I have little money now to buy unlike before . So I checked and I saw all the sales report I was like I’m doing this again. So I read like 100 first pages and 100 last pages then I paid for Oga Iyke training after the training I went on Registration Spree(50plusnames) using onedotcom promo.
In two days of registering this name and listed on Afternic I received an email through Whois from Domainagent that someone is interested in the name. I Informed Oga Iyke he said i should reply that they look real so I replied. Buyer sent an opening offer of $200 I countered with 7k he countered with 500 saying he can’t pay more than that and he already has a better version. I didn’t even say anything I just declined then he countered with 800 I declined again, he countered again with 850 I declined again 😁😁😁 at this point I just Dey talk to my self say guy you get mind Dey reject 850 offer for domain you bought with 1.99 well I said Gpexchange Dey run am now so nothing spoil 😁 na so baba no reply again for 3days on the 4th day he countered with 1200 na so I grab my copy since I was told no commission on it

Guys how do you outbound in a way that would not get your mails placed under Spam ?

1) Try as much as possible not to include link on your first email, you could trow a question like message to them at first, then follow up with the main message after like 2 days,

2) Try as much as possible to avoid spam trigger words, you can check Google for spam trigger words, they are much.

Omo I had no idea it was trademark on Europe until recently na only USA own I searched... So I already lost hope that they will do Udrp but as the name is reg older than their biz I also hoped they would think I was the previous owner and not do nonsense....can't even defend it cause which English word be leasy...

the name obviously makes no sense but I got it for the guys on .de set am at 15k$ cause I thought they owned the cars didn't know na just affiliate something might have priced lower if I did..anyways...Received an offer of 100$ from them a week after I got it on Dan
in may and they no reply me again... So I increase price to 50k$ for no reason .....

Fast forward last week they came with 3k offer I tell afternic broker abeg accept .. Because they have pursued the last 7 offers I got before ..them say ok... Before u know it I saw afternic kept pushing them to go higher and higher suddenly I see it move from 5k to 8k .. and sold lol .....

Turned on boost before the sale and quickly turned if off wen offer came in... Was only testing the boost thing only for the email feature that sends email to people on other extension or that have searched the name before .... ... Might have been it that reminded them might have not who knows....

Oh and one more thing... The name received visits of over 1000 monthly since April... I thought it was bots but when I checked Google analytics I saw it was German people who wanted to go the .de ... I did park it with bodis for a while but got nothing so I remove am jare.....

But where tha wahala go come na when Payment processor chop their own.. that's where ACH checkout comes in has someone had earlier posted on the thread.

That payment processor fee is the main thing, there was a time I made a sale through afternic, I loose almost $40 for just extra fees I know nothing about.. We go miss dan sha

At this point, it might be safe to say that domain spam scores may be over-rated. I have seen domains reported sold here for $3500 and higher with spam scores of at least 70 (out of 100).

I skipped a few domains that I considered to have great potential because of high spam scores in the past. If you're daring enough, now I think the metric may be ignored based on this evidence.

Na you Dey check spam score o, once i sight a good domain name, check potential buyers, I’m buying it straight😁

Is been a while I reported sales here. I have been dropping alot of my hand reg domains and have been gradually picking up better names and this has been a great move for me.

For Purchase prices of these domains, see namebio.
studyinfrance met all my purchasing criteria so I went for it. But thereafter,I realised that my buyer may not come from America. I always like my buyer come from USA. But with God and Luck, it sold so fast than expected.

Hoseking was purchased by the .net owner.

The one on LTO, was priced at 5k for long but was not sold. A week after increasing the price, it sold for that amount.

Selling domains hasn't been that easy,so you must always change your strategy especially now that Dan is closing down.

For me, it has been God, good domains and Luck.

My advice: when you sell a domain for 1k, do not take profit, go to the Aftermarket and get a good domain and price well and wait.
