Lagos has gone beyond construction of roads, bridges. Lagos is upgrading and improving its infrastructure because of the large influx of people. Lagos the most investment friendly destination city in Africa is gaining global attention and not in Nigeria.Which state in Nigeria has the most creative governors like Lagos. Lagos is thinking of moving from being a mega city to a smart city, i laugh at some peoples ignorance. Lagos is thinking of using technology to track traffic with sensitive street lights, building 3 smart cities from the scratch, replacing danfos with air conditioned buses etc Which state has creative ideas as Lagos: speaking of technology, tourism,Youth Empowerment, Investment policies, infrastructure, the cleaner Lagos initiative in which refuse collection will be done according to global standards, slum upgrading, developing more CBD's. I think anybody that dislikes Lagos should better embrace, because its Nigeria's pride Here are some future plans and innovative projects of the LASG: EKO Atlantic city Lekki smart city project Imperial international business city Lekki free trade Zone (largest in west Afrrica) Badagry deep sea port(largest in Africa) Lekki international Airport Orange Island 4th Mainland Bridge Lagos Light rail Project Lagos Water transport with marine police construction of the Largest single refinery in Africa and not Only Africa. Independent power project (4,000mw) Plans and innovative projects to make Lagos the smartest city in Africa: Distribution of E-waste bin and compactors Replacement of Danfo buses with World class air condition buses. Introducing more free WIFI services in BRT buses and parks. Decoration of more bridges and bus stops Introduction of more bus terminals Mechanised sweeping of Major roads Emergency Helipad service World class smart security vehicles Swift Emergency service and disaster management .Ensuring of water metering in Lagos More:World class Oshodi transport interchange Creating more BRT lanes and decongestion of Lagos traffic More Health care service delivery with primary health centres scattered across the local governments of the state. There are many projects I am even oblivious about that I know some would know.well,if u think I am framing up anything here or just forming anything,Google is your friend. I love Lagos I Love Nigeria https://www.nairaland.com/4060606/post-new-photos-lagos/1 |

- The Federal government said IPOB was nearing its end- It said no country can tolerate its action- Lai Mohammed said proscription of IPOB by south east governors was a good move The Federal government has promised to cut the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) down to size and that it is nearing its end with its proscription by the South-East governors. The Punch reports that Alhaji Lai Mohammed who is the minister of information and culture made this position known on Wednesday, September 20 at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The minister said IPOB was already out of steam and that no government in the world would tolerate its operation.Mohammed said:“Let me state clearly that it is within the rights of individuals or groups to seek self-determination. But this pursuit has to be non-violent. Where any group crosses the line by engaging in violence, it risks being cut to size and that’s exactly what has happened to IPOB.“I am not interested in the semantics or legality of troop’s deployment or the proscription of IPOB. All I know is that IPOB has engaged in terrorist activities such as: 1. Setting up parallel military and paramilitary organisations, 2. Clashing with the national army 3. Attempting to seize rifles from soldiers 4. Using weapons such as machetes, molotov cocktails and sticks and 5. Mounting roadblocks to extort money from people, among others.“To those who have engaged in semantics or legality, I ask: Which country in the world will tolerate those activities I have listed above? Which national army will look the other way when it is being attacked by a band of thugs?”Meanwhile, Eze Israel Kanu, the father of Kanu, said that everything about his son is proposed by God.Eze Kanu in an interview with naij.com said the ongoing Biafra agitation is so dear to young Kanu. He also said that he is in total support of hisson's agitation for the actualization of Biafra. https://www.naij.com/1126301-no-country-world-tolerate-ipob-fg.html?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C1766346402 |
