TV/MoviesRe: NTA Signs Broadcast Production Agreement With The Nigerian League. by samsobo24(m): 7:47am On Sep 09, 2017
xlander:
It doesn't translate to NTA broadcasting live matches, it means NTA will produce the content and reserve the right to its distribution.
Other pay tv service providers will acquire the rights from NTA and broadcast live NPFL matches regardless of the platform they use (live stream, Terrestrial or Satellite tv)
I think the private company will be the one in charge of content production and programming while they will be using Nta's broadcast equipment and then it will be broadcasted through Nta's platform, taking advantage of its TV stations scattered across the country,Its viewers will be more than the one of super sport
Live matches will be broadcasted simultaneously, I think Nigeria is the only African country to come up with this.In the end,if the league booms, super sport will have to pay to the Nta for broadcast right.

PoliticsImperial International Business City To Have Uninterrupted Power by samsobo24(op): 9:57pm On Sep 08, 2017
The promoter of International Imperial Business City (IIBC),
ChannelDrill Resources Limited, has plans to build an
independent electricity project to power the development.

The IIBC is a planned smart city located on a 200 hectare
expanse of land in Ikate Kingdom to be reclaimed from the
Lagos Lagoon.

The city is designed to have uninterrupted power supply from
clean energy sources, according to the Managing Director of
ChannelDrill, Mr. Olufemi Akioye, who explained that the IPP
in the smart city would ensure it is self- sustaining. “Besides,
the use of IPP within the city will ensure that there is no need
for the use of generators by inhabitants of the city, leading to
clean energy.”

Also included in the city’s master-plan is the construction of
a waste treatment plant that would produce methane for use
in the production of more electricity or cooking gas.

“Electricity will be available on 24/7 basis; cooking gas will
also be piped into each building thereby eliminating the usage
of gas cylinders in the city,” Akioye explained.

He said, “Due to power supply intermittency, the developers
have assumed that Lagos does not have capacity to uptake
the new demand levels of the island. Therefore, a new intake
substation on the Island would be supplied directly from an
existing substation on the mainland via a subsea cable.

He said this would act as a secondary supply to the city and
could potentially be used to export surplus electricity to the
existing Lagos distribution network.

Akioye said exhaust gasses from the generators used in the
IPP would be treated by a dedicated gas cleaning plant to
ensure that fumes released into the atmosphere complied with
international standards. “Secondary power will be generated
by alternative sources such as waste to power plants, while
the fuel that is, liquefied natural gas (LNG) will be supplied to
the city via barges. Fuel will be pumped into bulk fuel storage
bays via pipelines from the coast. Bulk storage feeds into a
treatment plant before entering generator supply streams,” he
explained.
He said, “The infrastructure consultants to the project, Mott
MacDonald Limited, London, United Kingdom, are also
banking on past project experience on past Master Plans that
were executed in climatic conditions similar to those of Lagos
to estimate power density figures.”
He said this would be calculated for each load zone based on
land allocation. “We are aware that air-conditioning is a large
element within power demand in a highbrow area like the
IIBC, so preliminary load estimate per plot is 100MVA.”

BusinessRe: Nigeria To Begin Tracking Of Piracy Of Media Contents by samsobo24(m): 9:16pm On Sep 08, 2017
nextstep:
Instead of thinking of how to grow the economy, they are stifling the jobs of those hustlers selling on the road, and then forcing the masses to pay higher fees for content. I'm not saying the artists don't deserve their revenue, but lets be serious: If instead of N500, I now have to pay 2k for a CD, they are on a long ting...
Don't forget what we are earning from Nollywood, with tracking of pirates, monies and revenues taken by pirates will be brought back.to the economy.
A similar Development of this is the digital switch over that will encourage more content and checkmate piracy.

Buhari is really accelerating and catalyzing efforts these days in all sectors but you may be sentimental and biased to say nothing is done, forget about politics and dislike for the president.
Continue your works without relenting My President.

Nigeria is a giant not because of its oil or resources but because of its large population, uniqueness among other countries, experience, Diverse culture, strong spirit of Leadership without relenting, able men and women, ability to undergo series of challenges and hard times. The issues of Nigeria and politics of Nigeria cannot be understood by a non citizen, many countries plus even America cannot undermine Nigeria just like that.Someone should think of it,despite all the challenges we are facing, there are still many positive things going on in the country.
Its the Nigerian spirit, no African country or any country can beat that God given spirit. Kenyans and other countries reading this should think of this very well.

That means we can no longer watch our league again..

cause am pretty sure is would either by
sound not working or no signal
and carrying only one camera to record a match..

NTA is the worst thing to ever happen to Nigeria.
Bro I advice you read again. There would be more efficiency in transmission because there would be adequate funding for VOB vans and world class equipments. This is far better than a pay TV like super sport helping to broadcast for us.
A good Example of these is the EPL TV and many more,it might be called NPFL tv then NTA would be the one broadcasting it.,the company might be the one producing the graphics and other things.I believe you watch the EPL and u know what I am Saying, let's just pray it succeeds
TV/MoviesRe: NTA Signs Broadcast Production Agreement With The Nigerian League. by samsobo24(m): 7:58pm On Sep 08, 2017
I have been for that partnership for the npfl in order to be able to watch live matches.
The broadcast will be a better one than that of super sport because there would be a private company to manage it and not NTA, what a good and laudable initiative. This shows seriousness. I have been thinking live broadcasting would just be abandoned since super sport breached the contract.
Well done the FG for this
Well done the League Management Company
