With Covid 19 on rampage ,he cannot extend visitor visa and he cannot change status!Let him come back home and apply for study visa |

Migration is not always an easy ride for Africans especially Nigerians , however study route remains the easier way to travel . .First ,Map out the countries you can study and work . Second ,consider the cost . 3.Apply for scholarships ,although scholarships are competitive but it is possible 4. Join different research networks in your field of study while you are still in Nigeria . 5 Enhance your CV through volunteering and community engagement . Above all pray and ask questions. |
JordanMichael:My oga hope you reside in SA sir? If not you will not be able to give the right assessment. South African Universities are the best in Africa and the people are friendly depending on how you live your life |
iamkingrobert:Both cities are good but Capetown better in terms of opportunities and networking . Ensure you come with CRITICAL SKILL VISA |
krumking:. I doubt any one got visa . Most schools resumed fully in March , though registrations will start soon. The schools are aware of the backlogs and delays confronting students. Nothing to worry about , just make sure you are in touch with your postgraduate officers |
DanIduh06:For University of KwaZulu PhD is free tuition . University of Pretoria around 20k rand depending on discipline while Fort hare charges between 15k to 20k, However most universities in SA have packages to support PhD candidates . You need to email the respective postgraduate officers to know the scholarships or grants available . |
pufframmy:You have different options 1. Study visa 2. Critical skill visa and 3. Voluntary visa. The first two are better and easier once you followed the process. Voluntary visa is for religious workers, workers for NGO and so on. It is extremely difficult to see a church or NGO that will give letter when you are not a worker in the organization. For study visa , You need to submit your docs for evaluation( check Saqa site for the cost)between 60k to 100k will sort it out depending on your qualifications you want evaluate. 2. Applications to different schools may cost you less than 60k, depending on how many universities you applied to .3. Once you have admission letter you are expected to pay for medical insurance around 150k depending on the exchange rate. Add all these figures together , it is roughly 300k plus and be lesser depending on how many schools you applied to. |
Olamilec:It is not more than 800k i speak with first hand experience |
pufframmy:With less than 300k you will get a study permit or which resident is 800K ? No resident permit cost 800k |
SA is the gateway to EUROPE,CANADA AND US |
Neddstark:deep truth |
Aquilapriscilla:You will not be granted to study medicine on scholarship in SA,maybe external scholarships which is not easy to obtain. Getting admission to study medicine in SA is extremely difficult, perhaps some private universities. Contact the schools to know your chances |
Reex12:Study- PR-Citizenship or CSV-PR-CITIZENSHIP |
Study route remains the easiest and fastest way to settle down in sa ,especially for those who do not qualify for critical skills visa |
Nicoswit:Xenophobic stuff is not every day life , all depends on what you are doing |
Nicoswit:I have stay in SA for some years now ... there is no hatred against any country , rather some Nigerians messing up the environment. IF you do what is right and live in a good environment you have not nothing to worry about |
But the General Overseer of MFM , Dr Olukoya on December 31,2019 said "2020 will be the year of medical confusion and strange sickness" Which is absolutely correct . You should have balance analysis . |
corona now spread at 12am -4am? welcome to Nigeria. Just because Uk, US and other countries announced second wave, Nigeria government also follow announce second wave...... Which way Nigeria? |
very good thread |
mechoau:. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic you can now submit online . Make sure you pay the correct amount for evaluation |
adespecial:Most schools have not completed 2020 academic sessions. Though on Monday school opens but no serious activities will take place . Some schools will resume academic activities Feb/ March. Plan your trip and let see what happens. The disadvantage of online learning is that it deny immigrants the opportunity of working while studying at the same time in SA and the advantage is save cost of accommodation . |
Phic97:I have few rand and I need naira. Send private message to me |
What is the essence of spending so much on the dead? |
Shajaya:It depends on the school and discipline |
For those who want to use hotel reservations for visa application purposes, Please try and pay 1-2 days if you are booking for weeks or days. For the past few days many applicants were denied visa due to hotel reservation without payment. Although some were lucky to scale through without payment for the hotel, To be on a safer side pay 1 or 2 days |
