Politics / Re: Ecobank, And Incompetency In Banking by samuelejiwunmi: 4:58pm On Nov 10, 2015
AlomoReloaded:
With the ongoing BVN brouhaha, ecobank has once again shown itself to be one hell of a mediocre of a bank.
I was at Aba branch of Ecobank, where a customer almost fought with the staff of the bank. It's appalling, that people that bank with other banks, and have registered for their BVN with those other banks, will come to ecobank, to link the number, up but will end up almost going crazy. Most customers, had registered for the linking, about three or more times, even before the erstwhile expiration date, issued by CBN, yet they still can't withdraw, because their Ecobank accounts had been frozen, despite registering for the BVN linking.
I don't know why I resisted the urge I had, a long time ago, to close my ecobank account, and concentrate on the very awesome Zenith bank, only to come to ecobank and end up almost loosing my head, cos I cant withdraw, despite linking my BVN three times. I want to unequivocally state that, ecobank is a complete hoax of a bank... not even up to being called a mediocre of a bank. I still wonder why, CBN hasn't sanctioned this bank, for their messed up customer service.
The moment, I succeed in unfreezing this ecobank account, I will make sure, I withdraw all my money, and permanently freeze the damn account! If you need a peace of mind, don't ever make the mistake of opening account in ecobank, or you may die before your time, because of High blood pressure and frustration. and if you bank with ecobank, close the damn thing, and bank with a better bank!
Am out.
Sorry you had such an experience. Ecobank Nigeria also has the provision of linking your BVN to your account without going into the banking hall. Simply dial *326*9# on your registered phone number and follow the prompts. You can also send details to engcontactcentre@ecobank.com. You can also call the toll free number 08003262265. I hope this helps.
