You don't tell someone the result of a research without telling them how you collected your data or what were your indicators to measure a concept, especially an abstract concept like happiness in this case. Until then, I won't take this serious.

Politics / Re: How President Tinubu Was Welcomed In China (Video) by samuelson06(m): 1:09am On Sep 06
DeLaRue:
Nigeria - big, strong, and powerful.

China measures the extent of it ceremonial welcome very carefully.

This level of welcome is reserved for governments it holds in the highest regard.

Foreign countries and institutions are not stupid. They know Mr Tinubu's economic reforms are the key to turbo charging this giant called Nigeria.

Removal of subsidy has been welcome by IMF, World Bank, UK, Europe, and most countries.

In the past they wondered how a country that needed infrastructure and development so desperately could be borrowing heavily to pay fuel subsidy. They looked at us from afar and shook their heads in silence, thinking, how stupid!

Did anyone notice that during the recent protests ambassadors of European countries in Nigeria issued a statement saying the government's reforms were necessary. It is very rare for these countries to intervene directly and openly like that to support an African government.

Nigerians, please let us remove this corrosive subsidy pata pata so the money can go into other areas.

In the past 10 years, this last 2 months have been the period when I have spent the least to fuel my generator. And I am not even in Band A. It means electricity is improving. Other things will improve too in due course.

Let's persevere in the short term, and I hope the government can find quick, effective ways to help those that are most affected by the current hardship.

This is our opportunity to make changes that previous government should have made. We must not waste this opportunity.

The reason other Presidents did not make these changes was because they knew they would be very unpopular. Mr Tinubu knows this too, but he is putting the interest of the country first. He has said if he is not re-elected, he doesn't mind as long as these essential changes are made.

What more can you ask of a leader?

E no go better for you with all these nonsense you are making me to read

Education / Re: Holders Of Masters Degree Pls Advise Me!!! by samuelson06(m): 11:43am On Sep 04
popweezy:
Holders of masters degree! What advice do you have for a BSC holder? Should he further? Wouldn't it be a waste of time and resources with the current situation of the country? Your inputs will be so much appreciated .God bless you all

I'll advise you get a job with your BSc degree first before going for Master. Your job will inform the direction of your PG program. If you rush to do a PG program now, it may turn out not being relevant to your job in the future.

Right now, you should be concerned with getting a job in your study field. Don't go spend money and time doing a program that the qualification may become useless. I see someone advising you to pick up a skill/certificate in IT. That'll make sense if you want to move away from the area of your BSc study. If your area of study isn't IT and you want to practice there, go for a Diploma program in Computer only.

Don't go spending money doing advanced computer program and later you still want to practice in a non-core IT area. I believe my advise to you is balanced enough. All the best.

PARADIZEPRIEST:
once a child has started showing expression of anger and dislike,is time angry

I'll score this answer 4/10.

Training for a child starts from the womb and not after birth or once a child starts throwing tantrums. What the pregnant woman does or the kind of exchanges between her and others can be a training for the child in the womb. I believe the pregnant woman should begin to adjust their life in a manner that will foster good behaviors from the child.

While the above is the first stage, which involves only the pregnant woman, the second stage of training for a child begin when the child is born. At this stage, what you do in front of the child matters a lot. More importantly, I'll suggest exposing the child to useful TV content at this time. No useless home movies! Instead, religious and educational content is highly encouraged for the child's spiritual and mental development.

Babies understand the world around them at their level. They have a brain that picks up learnings around them fast. You'll be wasting too much time if you wait for them to get to two or three years old before you begin to engage their brain.

Right from when the child is birthed.

A man is like a gardener that plants and tends to the seed.
When the plant begins to grow, he nurtures and prunes so that the plant can grow and become fruitful.

Some of them are waiting to build a strong financial base before marriage. But most times it never worked as planned

It may never work as planned but that's still better than giving birth to children you can't cater for. Look around Nigeria today and you'll see youths in their millions without any direction in life. They are totally confused and don't know what to do to make a meaning out of life.

People like you keep pushing others into marriage that'll lead to their misery. To you, the perfect definition of living a fulfiled life is once you are married with children. You don't care how the children will grow.

Those who locked their conscience just to sink this nation, father in heaven will sink them

If your government refuses to fight and stop them, there's nothing God can do. FG have the resources to end banditry and terrorism in the country but they choose not to, instead they choose to use them as political tools. So, leave God out of this. Blame the evil people we have in the name of leaders, especially the president. I remember GEJ once used mercenaries to fight Boko Haram and we were getting results with that because the foreign guys don't have any interest to protect. Since he left office, all the gains we recorded in pushing these guys in have now been lost because of the gains the FG derives in the violence.

He has rights to his own thoughts and actions, he shouldn't be forced to take his mothers political views

But Obidiensts started this and we warned them then of the effects . You can't want everybody to vote for your candidate and those who don't are tagged igbos haters , targeted in cyber attacks ,bullied online and offline , blackmailed , their businesses destroyed , their endorsements cancelled ..... All because they want to exercise their right to freedom of choice just the way the Obidiensts are exercising theirs. No now , you don't do that In a democracy

Not everything in your comment is true. APC had the security forces and guns. They control and hijacked the polls.

The major reason why the Obidients were and are still angry is how sane people that have suffered Buhari's APC maladministration, which was spearheaded by Tinubu would still want to support Tinubu. Tinubu himself was also supporting all the foolish things Buhari was doing. Most importantly, Tinubu never had the knowledge to run the economy. We all witnessed that during the campaigns. Most of the things that came from his mouth apart from the written speech were not making sense.

Today, when you look at the situation of the country, you can equally justify the position of the Obidients back then. Sadly, we still have APC supporters and we are wondering whether they are eternally sick.

This is why it is important to do annual health check after the age of 40. Complete check won’t cost more than 70k, that will include BP,PSA,Renal, ECG, Complete blood work, Ultrasound etc.

Could this be a case of “leave that thing” syndrome amongst Nigerians? Is it toxic Agbo? I don’t know! But Nigerians should try to avoid excessive alcohol consumption; more of Zobo tea to aid renal function and improve blood pressure.

After a certain age, genetics tend to play against us blacks. We do have tendency to retain water and salt which often leads to HBP, unlike whites who are genetically prone to build up in their arteries.

Health check is important folks when you clock 40..

Good diet and exercise would do the magic 50% of the time. Most people don't exercise nor eat good food. They only eat to deal with hunger and not to live long. The other 50% is obeying the 10 commandments, especially in sex-related matters and welfare of others, and also holding firm your spiritual walk with God.

All the medical checks and stuff are good but if you don't balance these two important factors to healthy living, disease would suddenly develop in your body and you'll be thinking it's because you don't go for medical checks.
