How are you certain it's the engine and gear that came with the car from factory? The owner might have even replaced both engine and gear. Just don't over spend on cars that are not really modern. By modern I mean 2015-2025. All those years before 2015 I consider not modern especially for basic non luxurious vehicles.

That Snapdragon chipset no dey like anything related to heat, it will misbehave. As others has suggested, constant ventilation is a must if not the kind heat it will be generating fit burn person. I remember when I was using Redmi note 10Pro with that Snapdragon chipset. The thing Sabi foreclosing apps like mad especially when you're using GPS and bolt or Indrive together.

You mean 65ltr on a 2.5l engine?. I have same 65ltr installed on a 1.6ltr engine and I can average 140-150km before it will enter reserve.

I have recently worked on a car with the exact slight hesitation problem you are experiencing, its going to be hard to give you a solution without actually diagnosing the problem physically . It could be wiring issues, a bad clutch pressure control solenoid, dirty transmission oil , poor ECU connection, e.t.c

Concerning the veering and vibrating, you most likely have one or more bad suspension component, again, its going to be hard to tell you what the problem is without physically seeing the car. But you can try jacking the car up , assume your car is a clock, grab the tyres in the 3 and 9 o'clock position and try to shake, repeat for 12 and 6 o'clock position. Also visually take a look for torn bushings . Do this for both front tyres. Take a look at your brake disk, the edges, does it look like there is a "lip" at the edge ? . The brake disc/rotor could also be warped(bent)

As for the codes, I don't think the 02 sensor would cause knock sensor codes, except they share the same circuit which I doubt, knock sensors are usually one wire connectors , routed directly to the ECU because its very important to detect knock , so the ECU can adjust ignition and protect the engine if necessary. You need to check the wiring and be sure you bought the right knock sensor . The last code could also be a wiring problem or bad ground somewhere. Its hard to tell without proper diagnosis.

Thanks boss. I did as u suggested by checking the tires. I see that the tie rod end on the passenger side that the car is always veering to, when I apply brake suddenly is bad. The knockle head is no longer firm. I will change both sides. If it persist I will resurface the brake discs. Changing brake calipper will be the last thing because I read that these other two can also cause it

Good evening my people. Please I have noticed that sometime I do have slight hesitation while on high speed and my car is about to shift into gear 4. Like 2-4 seconds delay. The car is an 8th generation civic.

And also, while on high speed, if I apply my brake abruptly, the car will veer towards the passenger side but if it is not emergency braking, and I press the brake pedal gently as I have already anticipated to brake from a long distance, my steering will be vibrating, I don't experience vibration on high speed though only when breaking.
Lastly, can bad down stream 02 sensor triggers P0325 knock sensor
P0685 Powertrain

I've previously changed the knock sensor at the rear of the engine but I never change the 02 sensor

Omo, this is so sad. I want to believe the centre gave your vehicle to person wey no Sabi or they used substandard kits for you. CNG kits are also grade by grade o. Those one Tinubu imported were substandard. If high grade kits are used and don by a professional, you won't have issues

Lastly dere mechanical go buy 2,000naira oil filter. If you want your car to run well fuel efficient last long use coolant, get a good oil to service your that works with you car model year mileage and have good tyres and a again some car catalyst as been tampered with. The last oil I use USA Valvoline fuel economy formula and high mileage around 90k my filter self is over 10k . Tell me why I won't enjoy a smooth ride with 5k fuel for around 40km to 50km on a free high way someone said maybe I don't know what km is.

When did catalyst, high mileage Oil and expensive oil filter the prerequisites for good fuel economy?
I thought Oxygen sensors, engine capacity, air filter and good tyres inflated with the right air pressure are the immediate factors to consider.
Besides most of the cars reduces in fuel economy as they age. Most of the information online about their fuel economy is what is tested while they were still brand new and you're saying it's still the same after 2 decades? Are you saying you're still achieving manufacturers estimations?

Doing agricultural science in secondary school, having your own practical exercise book where you collect weeds and crops samples and label them with their botanical names and also taking care of your own allocated farm beds or heaps during every farming season teaches a lot if you school in the rural areas. The pracical alone whas its own mark different from class theories

Which best engine oil are you looking for a 19 years old car again biko. Well, if your engine is toks and sound, you can use 5w-30 but me i uses mobil 5w-40. If its still the same engine u bought the car with, ask previous owner the oil he/she has been using

Low key. This is d most underrated challenge on this job. This is d first time someone is mentioning it here on this thread.
This is my biggest most feared challenge.
Because I have a soft belly and easily react to spicy food or contaminated food and water, I have fallen victim many times in my early days. Now my best friends are flagyl, loperamid and Imodium. I must have one in my car. I must say I abuse these drugs cos I can't be embarrassed again.

But if u don't mind using public toilets then malls, hotels and fast food restaurants are ur best bet. I map out the clean ones and know where to go if I am in Ikeja, Yaba, VI or Lekki.

If I ever have PTSD from this job it will be the tot of having a running stomach while on steering and I am far from my house.

Hi guys, please will camera capture my plate if I drive with this temporary inspection paper(expiry date is in 2 months). My road worthiness certificate expired today. I have paid for new one but failed the inspection. My mechanic is not available till Monday.

No. The expiry date on the referral paper is what you need to take note pending the time you fix your car and re-present it for inspection. Once that date on the paper expires without you passing inspection and you still drive where camera or lastma go use their device to run your details, tor ₦20,000 dey wait for you be that.

I hope your engine is still sound and you're using the recommended compressor for the car. I mean not putting Peugeot, Opel or ford compressor in a civic because they say they are better.
Your car is designed to carry extra load of a compressor without going off . I use same car I hardly notice as any changes in my engine when AC is working.

This dude has messed up my AC system. The compressor is now permanently engaged when the car on is on even though AC is off.

He wants to put a thermostat which makes me wonder what correlation they have.

If the follow come thermostat attached to your evaporator in the cabin is faulty you will need to replace it or install an aftermarket that they will work for you so that it can regulate the compressor cutting and restarting as at when due.
So yes compressor has something to do with thermostat unless you want your compressor to work non-stop

Very nice, I don't really drive her like that except on Sundays and once in a month to and fro Lagos-Ibadan.
I use Mobil 3000 5w-40 fully synthetic. In a year I do service twice and do not exceed 3000km on oil change though I don't follow the 3months interval some people recommends. I may not even drive up to the 3,000km but it's usually near that before I do another oil change.

My last 2 services were Nov. 9th, 2024 and the current oil still in the engine was put there July 17th 2025 and I've not even driven up to 2000km on it. Oil life still at 70%
