Travel / Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by SandraOvie(f): 1:05pm On May 12, 2023
SEEKING GUIDANCE: Good afternoon everyone, I’m currently in the Uk on a care visa, I came on a student visa, then switched to a work visa -very tough journey so far! I left my children back home in Nigeria, it’s been almost 1 year since I left them, I WANT TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF BRINGING THEM DOWN TO THE UK, WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE and COST PLEASE, I’m asking because I used an agent at first, but can no longer afford to pay an agent, and I’m completely blank about it. Please help, anyone who can help or has had to bring in children later.
Thank you .

Yureyes:
Please is there anyone still waiting since August 2021? School has resumed since last month and everything is just quiet from IRCC’s end. The last correspondence from them was medical request in November. This is getting tiring.

Your own is good na! They even requested medical, my own is blank!
Nothing! Completely ignored! Hmmm! Na wa o!

My agent is just quiet about it, nothing is happening! N to the o to the thing! Nothing!!!! and I don't have my application number! It's a regular application though.

I'm supposed to resume by January 10th!

I'm frustrated!

makano:
Hello Kenny

I wanna assume it was an agent that told you the bolded.. Similar to a statement an applicant told me that her agent told her she should not dare send a mail to any MP, that they will refuse her application with immediate effect... You can just imagine such statement..

So please. Bro, what is the approved processing time? @makano

I'm asking because my application is well over 3months! I applied in August 9th precisely, went for biometrics on 13th! I don tired! I like know where I stand, meanwhile my school is resuming by January 10th.

Dunno why you all are scared of sending
them mails when you know your application has passed the IRCC approved processing time...

The only time you are not expected to bug them with emails or web-forms is when your application is still within the processing time..

Lets be guided

Peace

Please bro, what is the approved processing time? @mekano

Aijay26:
NSE route doesn’t work

It sure works oh! I'm not saying it doesn't, but I noticed allot of applicants, I mean, 90, if not 95% out of 100% applications are through the NSE route.

Makes me feel like IRCC no longer honours the regular route as such, because even the NSE route which is suppose to take only 20 days, takes a whole lot of time, some taking up to 5 months now! Leaves me wonder, if NSE can be taking this long, the normal regular route needs divine intervention. oh!

Hi,

You have nothing to worry about... The visa process takes time... mine took 4 months, thank God it ended in praise... So just be patient, your PPR will drop..
By the way, I am also going to MSVU for winter 2022.
Amen! I really truly appreciate your encouragement! The four months, did it include request for medicals? I guess it was NSE too?

Good morning people!
I've been following up on nairaland from Google, just recently registered, I haven't really known how to use it, I don't even know how this message will appear, so please manage me

(Please note: I'm using an agent)

I worry dear nairalanders! I'm a mature student, graduated high school in 2008, had issues with my 1st degree, just rounded up child bearing and decided to go back to school as I feel purposeless.

So,I applied to universities in MAY waited for the longest two months of my life, finally got admitted into MOUNT SAINT VINCENT UNIVERSITY, HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA, in July.

Went on to apply on AUGUST the 9th 2021 went for biometrics on 13th of AUGUST.

(Regular application, not NSE) for winter 2022

My people, my application is already 3months! Will be 3 months since biometrics in 2 days!

Anybody on this same application boat with me?

The wait is draining!

Sistrens and brethrens!
