PhonesRe: TECNO Camon X/X Pro Official Discussion Thread by SanMinato: 5:02pm On Aug 28, 2018
nonny400:
So even with my screenshots and all I'm an agent of other brands? What do you really mean by "other brands"? Tecno and Infinix are same Transsion Holdings, so....?

Also, you use the 4gb ram version so the extra 1gb of ram helps it perform better, considering it contains the same software as the camon x.

And yes, the phone charges really really fast. I think even though it didn't come with flash charge, it can comfortably compete with the other phones' charging speed. I love the speed of charge, literally...

I also use Nova Launcher with Flight lite icon pack and my phone is beautiful.

Please, be constructive in your argument and don't call names. There's a difference between 3gb ram and 4gb ram.
Hian, who's this person? I didn't even mention you. I'm confused
PhonesRe: TECNO Camon X/X Pro Official Discussion Thread by SanMinato: 7:59am On Aug 28, 2018
I'm confused when I read here about people complaining about RAM battery management. I've been using the Camon X Pro since May and it's easily the best phone I've ever used (and I've used iPhones and Samsungs).

I've not had any issues with the RAM. The battery is great and charges very fast. I'm confused that people are denying the fast charging. The only thing that disappointed me with the phone is that my Spectranet sim LTE doesn't work on it, but it worked on my older CX Pro.

That's not too much of a hazzle though as every other network works. I didn't even bother to insert an SD card as 64GB is handy enough, especially considering that my movies and music are mostly streamed and not downloaded. I had to remove the Hi Launcher and installed Nova, installed an icon pack too and my phone hasn't looked better.

Sometimes I feel some of these negative reviews come from agents of other phone brands. Take it from those of us that are actually using the phone. This phone is great.

PoliticsRe: Obi Of Onitsha Condemns Anambra Election Boycott, Insists Election Must Hold by SanMinato: 8:27am On Jul 28, 2017
rhymz:
The irony of this vote or no vote argument is that majority of the people who are talking tough against boycotting the Anambra elections do not have any intentions to go out and vote themselves.

Does anyone have pictures of the Obi of Onitsha voting in any of the elections, what about his children? The reality is.... they don't bother!! Why will they anyway, when elections in Nigeria are like wars being fought, who in their right senses will want to risk their lives, especially for these politicians who are all about themselves and their families.

All these big men preaching "go and vote and all" should also vote and have their wards vote, no be to dey tell people to go and vote when they sit in their palaces and mansions while ordinary people risk their lives.

Elections are violent and dangerous in this country and for what exactly? To vote in the likes of Buhari and these politicians running everything down, mba!!! I will never risk my life even if Kanu did not say it.
You have said it all. Even if the IPOB struggle doesn't exist, you as a Nigerian, are you not tired of going out since the past 50 years to vote in greedy and vision-less politicians who don't even care about you? And even risk your life in the process? LOL i pity anyone who goes out to vote that day. Let those politicians and their family members go and vote. We are tired. All the votings that we've been doing since, how far? Just look at the price of garri. Look at the price of rice.

Everybody should wisen up.

God will bless Nigeria but I get your concern about the IDPs plight. It's a situation that should be taken very seriously... That's why Union Bank created a #WeCare4IDPs platform where people can easily donate whatever little money they can to help our IDPs.

A legitimate cause I tell you.

There is something for everyone.

Mobile Money will soon be relaunched.

Special POS Apps will soon hit the market.

Baby steps...

But grow we must.

FIAT currency is too expensive to produce.

Cashless it is...
You're right. We must grow, and it's been coming.

Banks like Union Bank today are providing very efficient POS services for businesses and entrepreneurs thereby making the transition to a cashless society seamless.

A cashless society is definitely a step in the right direction.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Cashless Policy Goes Nationwide - CBN by SanMinato: 4:09pm On Mar 24, 2017
A very good development, it's high time we transit as a society in a cashless system.

Thank God for banks like Union bank that are already setting the pace in this area. The Union bank e-banking channels are second to none and this news can only make it get even better.

Sabasi:
Building on the success of the pilot programme for the cashless policy introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Nigerian Bankers’ Committee has concluded plans for a nationwide rollout. The Bankers’ Committee consists of all the CEOs of all the deposit money banks (DMBs) in the country.

This was confirmed, at the Committee’s inaugural meeting by the Head Shared Services Office of the CBN, Chidi Umeano.

According to Umeano:

“We have very interesting statistics to show that there has been a lot of shift really from cash to other forms of payment, we have figures to show that a lot of those activities have gone up trillions of Naira on yearly basis so we think it’s now time to review and restart. We have 30 states to go. By the first of May we will take on the first 10 states, by first of August, we take the next 10 states and by first of October, we take the last 10 states making it the 30 states for a nationwide rollout. In taking these decisions, the committee has taken care to make sure that the vulnerable amongst us are well protected. We do know that transactions that happen in the banking sector today in terms of cash withdrawals and deposits are less than 10 per cent nobody is really affected by this we are trying to shift emphasis from cash to other forms of electronic payments and the industry has since expanded and gone out of its way to implement all kinds of channels.”

Cashless Economy In A Nutshell

In a cashless economy, all transactions are done using cards or by digital means
This means use of e-commerce, mobile banking or Internet banking for purchases and transactions

Advantage for the society

Reduces the circulation of paper money.
The black market or parallel market can be curtailed.
Easy to handle.
The transaction process and purchase will be easy.
No gotcha moments when you don't have exact change.
Less violent robbery.
No difficulty moving money.

Advantage for the Government

The government can control the financial transactions in the society.
More transparency and easy to track money laundering and other such activities.
Helps to eliminate counterfeit currencies.
If the government finds a person guilty government can easily block his/her transaction.
No worn out currency that has to be replaced

Disadvantage of cashless economy relates to cyber fraud and hacking which can lead to a collapse of the economy if adequate security controls are not put in place.
Also there is no way to get by with change when the Internets aren't working.
There is no physical constraint on the money supply — not even fiat paper.

Thus with a strong security system in online processing to avoid hacking and cyber fraud, a cashless economy is beneficial for both the society and for the government.

BusinessRe: Keystone Bank E-banking Solutions: Secure, Convenient And Reliable by SanMinato: 4:05pm On Mar 24, 2017
Interesting.

But you should probably try the Union Bank mobile app and see yourself being genuinely wowed. I don't think it has any rival in Nigeria yet, it's a world class experience TBH.

Trending01:
Keystone bank is one of the flagship financial institutions in Nigeria offering robust, convenient and reliable self-service banking products to customers.

The Keystone Mobile App

The Keystone Mobile App launched about a year ago comes with enhanced capacity, higher compatibility with smart phone types and much more functionality as well as very limited failure rate. The enhanced Mobile banking app has increased customer users on the platform by 60,000 new users.

The Mobile App allows Keystone Bank customers carry out a wide range of banking transactions from their Keystone Bank accounts including flight ticket bookings, funds transfer, electronic bill and utility payment, account balances and mini statement. The bank also uses the product to drive Financial Inclusion and Sustainable Banking policies of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Card Payment on the web

The card payment on the web comes with secure authentication methods and makes payment across the globe on all platforms. The bank offers a web and branch based payment option for electronic bills collection (E-Bills) which gives companies same day delivery of funds irrespective of the bank where transaction was initiated as well irrespective of the channels (Branch collection, Internet banking and Mobile) that was used for the payment.

The E-Bills Collection Platform handles different customers (Private & Public sector). Included within the scope of the e-Bills collection platform are pre-payments and post-payments for goods and services such as utility bills (water rate, electricity bills, telephone bills, etc.), purchases, various categories of revenue collections, and other fees e.g. subscriptions, levies, premiums etc.

Keystone Bank Payroll Management System

The Keystone Bank Payroll Management System is designed to interface with its customers’ database to generate payment schedules for salaries, remuneration, emoluments and other benefits. With the details obtained from the database, the payroll solution computes automatically the amount due each employee by making use of both generic and specific information fed into the system that relate to payroll and payment for various cadre of staff.

My sister it's definitely something laudable. 100 years is not child's play. We're told that 90% of businesses close up within the first 10 years but this is 100 years we're talking about here.

As for the other options I would pick an iPhone 7 instead? Why? Because it's an investment. When you are done using the phone, u can still sell it and get back atleast half of what you bought the phone for. I bought my iPhone 6 for $500, I can still sell the phone today and get back atleast $300 - $350. But if I go Dubai for a weekend or stay in oriental hotel for 3 nights with that money, the money is gone forever!

3. Occasionally screen flickering when using apps like ucweb

Download the Infinix hot 2 android one ROM from their website (it will probably be lollipop and you'll have a number of updates to do) or download the Infinix hot marshmallow ROM from XDA or from the numerous links on this thread (It will probably be the March edition so your updates might not be too heavy)

When you've downloaded the ROM then download the Infinix flash tool from the Infinix site. Follow instructions. If the instructions there are not clear then goggle the web for steps on how to flash your phone with Infinix flash tool. You might need to download and install Vcom drivers too if you haven't already done so.

All in all the whole process might look tedious but it really isn't. It's something any one with average intelligence can follow through. Because I really don't have the time to travel to any Carlcare office just to flash my device. Who does that?
