Restore ur system to any earlier period when ur device was working properly I.e before installing cubase 8

no they are not blinking, it's on until i switch it off, yeah a faulty vga is really an extreme case, i just hope it doesn't come to that, i intend hooking it up with an external monitor to see if it comes on.

After the upgrade I noticed that the second function.key (fn key) is no longer working/responding e.g I can't reduce or increase the screen brightness etc. but I can increase and reduce volume. please what is the solution to the problem?

If it's d power led of d monitor dats blinking den power isn't getting to d system unit(d one u called CPU)likely ur power supply unit of d system is bad.
