it doesnt display the regular boot from cd, hard drive, floppy drive when i press f12.

please how can i set it to boot from CD?

No, it has not install, dont know if i have to install a modem app on the pc.

U dont need any modem app...D modoem will install all u need itself eg drivers etc..Do wat d guy above asked u to do..And get back to us.Goodluck

Make sure u insert d modem properly.Does d modem install?

On "HIBERNATE AFTER," change to "Never." Click on "APPLY" and then OK."

Boss my laptop just developed a new problem when I start it,it boots but the screen doesn't show anything I have tried all the videos on YouTube and they say the same thing and they don't work.

Fisrt,look @ d screen very well maybe its dim..If u don't say anything try reseating d RAM,or test with a known working RAM if dat doesn't work den connect to an external monitor n if d external monitor displays its screen problem.Goodluck

Try unplugging d charger,remove d battery n hold down d power button 4 lyk 30secs...Replace d battery,plug d charger wait a bit n try to power d laptop.

D problem is either d cooling fan has stopped working or its filled with dust..Most probably d second.D system needs to b dissembled 4 dis problem to b fixed.n

Hey,wen I first saw ur post I suspected ur VGA,since u said d display went blank while playing game.Most times repititve gaming wit laptop(dats is not built for gaming) wears down d VGA over time.Which often result in symptoms lyk dis..Bt did d engineer say he will fix it?

Restore ur system to any earlier period when ur device was working properly I.e before installing cubase 8

no they are not blinking, it's on until i switch it off, yeah a faulty vga is really an extreme case, i just hope it doesn't come to that, i intend hooking it up with an external monitor to see if it comes on.

Good evening laptop engineer in the house. Please I need help. I upgraded my laptop today from windows 8 to 8.1. After the upgrade I noticed that the second function.key (fn key) is no longer working/responding e.g I can't reduce or increase the screen brightness etc. but I can increase and reduce volume. please what is the solution to the problem?

From d luk of tinz u have little idea abt reloading o/s,I wil suggest u search 4 it on googleo,coz on google u will see pictures aswell coz it's a lot complicated..If u run into any problem u can leave me a msg.Or beta still take it 2 an engineer.
