This only thing good about this season is that there is no bandwagon winner yet. I am happy about that.

If we cannot comment or even criticise housemates, for fear of being bashed as forum members, whats the use of this forum. Is it for us to praise everyone? Housemates are on our tv sceens, they will do wrong, be criticised for it and we all move on to the next. Just because its your fave turn, does not make it ok to go personal. What you can and should do is defend your fave, provide proof if you can.
What I am against,personally, is a member lying about a housemate with the aim of decampaining them, thats wrong, but still does not warrant going personal. But if its the truth, your fave did it, please allow us to have opinions, swallow it, defend, but don't go personal. It becomes worse when you can criticise others but yours is off bounds. Please make it make sense.

Big Brother contestants from Nigeria and South Africa
will face off against each other in the next edition of
the reality show.
Former contestants of both countries' versions will
feature in one show with the working title of Big
Brother Face-Off .
The show is scheduled to air in early 2023


The next iteration of the African version of Big Brother will
be a new spinoff edition which will be an "all-stars" match-
up between Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi , filled
with winners from previous seasons of both shows from
Nigeria and South Africa and broadcast on DStv across
Africa in early 2023.



After seven seasons of Big Brother Naija in Nigeria and five
seasons of Big Brother Mzansi – the first two of which were
titled Big Brother SA – MultiChoice and M-Net are working
on bringing the former contestants of both countries'
versions together in one show with the working title of Big
Brother Face-Off .


"In 2023, we'll be starting the year off with a bang, which
will be the giants of Africa coming together on the Big
Brother version of South Africa against Nigeria," says
Nomsa Philiso, MultiChoice's head of programming.



She adds:
This has been an incredible, incredible feat for
us because we know how well Big Brother
Mzansi does, we know how well Big Brother
Naija does, but we just felt that it was time to
bring the two together. We're excited about
that, and we just think that it's going to be
amazing.

I think these people just want to revive the franchise. Why not bba? But it would be interesting I won't lie.
BBN contestants have this 'scipt' that would not work in other environments.
I would love to see Whitemoney in another setting where he is not familiar with the blueprint for winning.
Would they agree to go back and not win when they are already winners.
The level of gameplay would be insane.

I don't think this is completely true. The 'BB concept' is not as big in SA as in Nig , and I don't why. Look at the SA housemates that were prominent in Bba e.g Luclay and Keagan, they disappeared completely after the show. But in Nigeria top 5 is hailed for endorsements etc. I watched the last season of BBM, there were no sponsors at all. So much so that housemates were not allowed to even mention the musicians names etc because that would be promoting them at the expense of the franchise, talk less of mentioning brands.
So yeah, Nigerians need to keep BBN and Sa keeps its Bbm, this is unnecessary.

I don't think it would work. South Africa is very liberal and there are things they would have to censor to make the Nigerian audience happy. But the drama would be fire.

I respect this groovy mono. Do we remember all those convos he had with. Phyna, where he told her he didn't like her as much, and our priestess responded that she has been a loyal side chick to a guy in a serious relationship before, all she needs is attention, all the disgusted faces he made then, whenever she kissed or held him in public. And even when Illebaye asked who he liked, He said, Beauty, Chomzy and Illebaye. So all this talk about him liking Phyna from the beginning, and saying he never had eyes for Chomzy, that one na beta gameplay. No one in that house is more focused than Groovy. I don't even like him as such but I cannot take this away from him. Its a pity he may not win, he always puts his best foot forward, politically correct , almost Whitemoney style. He never forgets where he is and why he is there.

I didn't know that being a hype something is a 'job'...honestly. I thought it was like the small boys that call passengers for taxi drivers, but in this case hyping a celebrity/ performer. I was really serious when I asked that question coz the poster I quoted got me thinking. What is her talent really?
Its the 8th week now and I still do not know what she is promoting about herself. My understanding is that these people go to this show to 'sell' themselves, so that when they go out they can get opportunities to grow in those areas.
I have never witnessed a winner who was not promising anything. You give phyna money...a whole 100m, to do what with it?
The only thing I have heard her say is that, outside this house,there's always a drink in her hand (talking to groovy).
I'm not suggesting she should not win but as a viewer I just want to know this part about her. I may have missed some of her convos.
