Thank You so much for your reply. From your little knowledge and research, how feasible is it for someone to get a job after graduation in the Natural science fields? AlphaNugget: Sorry for the late reply, I have been busy
POF amount (Total): depend on the school, but between 14k to 15k euros
Duration of post study work Visa: The Netherlands offers an "Orientation Year" residence permit, also known as the "Search Year" or "Zoekjaar," for recent graduates from non-EU/EEA countries to seek employment or start a business after graduation. This permit allows graduates to stay in the Netherlands for up to 12 months to find a job or establish a company. During this year, they can work freely without requiring a separate work permit (TWV) - copied from Google
MSC school fees looks like for the first year: Also depends on the school, but maybe from 9k+ to 17k+ euros per year. |

You will simply be shown their exchange rate and the amount you will get in Naira for the amount of dollars entered. Okay thanks, same. I have proof of employment and payment invoice for every funds that come through my Wise. Thanks |

U1: I think it's safe, but I don't know your definition of "safe."
I made my first withdrawal to a NGN account last week. It was super fast (took only seconds) and saved me a little more money, compared to using Grey.
I just discovered last month that such a transaction was possible after I contacted them to find out why they're displaying NGN rate. They had told me they don't send money to Nigeria, even this year (around February). They claimed they only just resumed recently. By safe, I meant that my bank will not come and block my account tomorrow that I did fraudulent transaction. Nigerian banks can be really crazy. One of them summoned me recently and kept asking if I was sure I was not into sports betting and the other kini. When has sports betting become a crime in Nigeria? Anyhow sha, did you convert your dollars to Naira before sending to bank? |

CalabarSamurai: 1....
3. This is very helpful, but on its own, not sufficient.
Your remote work income proves your earning ability; this supports your financial self-sufficiency. However, INZ primarily requires:
Liquid funds in bank accounts (for the 12-month cost of living, plus return ticket or funds for it).
A clear link between your invoices and bank deposits (e.g., USD/GBP/EUR remittance into your Naija accounts).
Recommendations:
Provide employment/contract letters from your remote clients.
Include bank statements that match the invoices.
If your earnings are consistent and show steady inflows, INZ will see that you are financially stable.
So: invoices support the credibility of your funds, but you still need bank statements showing the actual availability of the funds. You are awesome! Thank you for the continuous clarifications, though they be well researched opinions like you pointed out. One final question and then I take a rest from question asking. I save part of my funds through crypto, as i am paid partly in cryptocurrencies . all the invoice are available. my worry now is with Nigeria's tight policy towards cryptocurrencies and P2P. These are not issues currently with New Zealand Digital asset rules. however, i don't know if the rules in Nigeria will affect. There are no traditional bank channels to renumerate crypto earnings to banks so the only way is to use P2P Merchants and online BDC guys. Will this explanation pass fit? there is consistent inflow monthly into my bank accts as you stated, but from different P2P Merchants. For the savings, i started saving in crypto because of Naira's crazy up and down movement. |

CalabarSamurai: 1. The money from sales of property has to be in the account for 3 - 6 months before applying. (Applies to other sources of funds too) i.e. proof of funds, if it dips due to forex, top it up and put an explainer in your cover letter.
2. They want evidence of where you got the money for tuition and living costs where X - tuition fees and Y - NZ$25,000 for 120 units/1 Year or NZ$35,000 for 180 Units / 18 months. So if the money is in your account for 3 - 6 months, they will overlook sales of property as source of income (there are other sources of income)
3. Jeje just look for a 120 units course to do that is relevant to work experience and/or first degree or if you are doing a career change. (your cover letter or SoP will need to justify this). Doing a 120 units course removes the need for a funding plan letter for the remainder of your program for instance.
4. You can submit any currency statement account (NGN, USD, GBP, EURO, NZ$ etc.), but they said it is recommended to use one bank statement for ease of authenticaion.
Have a great day! Hmmm. 1. I save my funds in three different Naija Banks. so does this mean i have to move all to one bank and allow it to cool for 3-6 Months? 2. What if i get the POF Living expenses plus flight (25k NZD) In my account for the 3-6 months as demanded, but the money i used to pay my school fees came in through an influx shortly before i paid the school fees. will they care about the one i have already used to pay school fees? 3. like i pointed out earlier, i am a remote worker. how good can my salary invoice over the last two years serve as a good POF? 4. Since we are not year sure if NZ also avoids giving PSWP to students above 35 years, assuming they have the same policy with Australia, does that 35 years thing apply to PhD students as well? Sorry, some of my questions feels repeated, but i am asking just to get specific clarity. |

CalabarSamurai: Use six months bank statement. Let your Proof of Funds be in the bank account before the beginning of the 1st month of the Six months. The full proof of funds? This one strong plus is it Naija bank statement you submit? |

Peaceful123: Since you have masters, why don’t you apply for PhD?
Also, if the graduation date of your masters degree is not more than 3 years, some of the uni if not all, will exempt you from IELTS Also, another consideration I am having. If I researched right, I think countries In the Aussie region do no give Post study Visa to people over 35 years. If I go for PhD, I might be a few months, or even a year over 35 by the time I am rounding up. |

CalabarSamurai: I would not recommend doing this - it’s wrong. How sure are you that the HR won’t deny the authenticity of the document issued to you when the VO calls to confirm. Instead is your work experience relevant to your intended Masters degree program? If your work experience flows with your intended masters program, and you can show how it helps further your career, and you can sort your finances, you may have a chance. Talk honestly (so they know the full picture) to the IDP agent and I am sure they can suggest something that surprisingly might work for you. Great insight. Thanks. They are not directly related but like you said, an in-between connection can be worked. my work is writing in crypto Currencies, crypto mining. since I am going for an Environmental course. I can try to relate the impact of Crypto mining to Environmental degredation. It's far fetched but what do you think? |

It's the POF I'm thinking about since more years means more money in school fees. Also, is there possibility of a slight deviation from masters course to PhD? CalabarSamurai: That’s just the finances part.
From this new post, you have another huddle which is the home ties, as a contract staff with contract expiring this month, what exactly ties you to Nigeria (do you have a registered business here? Do you have family that you support etc).
I recommend contacting IDP they don’t charge a dime and their agents can help with your profile. Thank You and I have understood everything about the POF and will talk to an IDP agent like you suggested. For the home ties, I only have aged parents I take care of. No wife and kids and no plans for that anytime soon. Will it suffice if I can get my EU company to give me a letter of leave, stating that they are giving me 2 years to go and study and come back to Africa, and that I can only work with them while in Africa so they will pause my contract until I come back. I have a very good rapport with my HR and I can get her to run this for me instead of a termination letter, then we run a termination letter in advance of 3 months after I leave Nigeria. |

Great! Thank you so much.
3. So this means the POF is basically the $20k+ ~5k. So one can borrow and pay school fees then use the POF money to settle the loan after movement and settlement in NZ?
Also, I work for an EU registered company as a remote worker. My contract is slated to expire this month. I receive my pay from them through several of this fintech apps and send directly to my bank account. I hope this is good proof enough if the money I have received from the fintech amounts to the $25k?
NB: do not quote while replying as I will edit the sensitive (borrow) parts out after your reply
Finally, Congratulations in Advance for your success. May God come through for you as you have been coming through with help and info for others on this thread. |

CalabarSamurai: I think your PoF should be in a bank with branches outside of Nigeria - sounds redundant because who is putting PoF in Micro-Finance bank. Good day chair. I aim to start the application process soon. I am registering for IELTS tomorrow and I have some few questions for you. I am going in for a Masters in Either one of Environmental conservation or Masters of Park Management, in Lincoln University. 1. Most programs in Lincoln have their next start date as February 2026. Does this mean that there are no September intakes in New Zealand? 2. If there are September intakes, can you suggest one or two Universities in Regional areas for me? 3. For the POF, do I need to have the complete $20k living expenses, $57k school fees and ~$5k all in my account before I can get approval? I mean, I may be able to get the school fees of 30k for the first year and use POF guys for the living expenses but that's about it. 4. Do you advise for a 1 year masters instead of the 2years I am considering? My target is in the Environmental protection/conservation and wildlife field which I have a bsc already in. 5. I have a master's from a Nigerian University already. Do I need to state this anywhere in my application or just bin it? I am going for a masters still. |

Hello Guys, New guy in here,
I plan to start the process of application soon and from what I've read here so far, Admission first then ViSA application.
I have a Masters already but plan to go through the masters route.
As expected, my major motivation is post study work Permit as with everyone here so I need advice on recent trends. Best schools that are a bit cheap and best courses to get jobs easily during or after study in the Aussie region.
I am considering both Australia and New Zealand and hope to make a decision this week after finishing all my research.
I am self funded and hope to get in in the very next academic sessions intake. I don't have all the money yet but should have a sizeable portion of it by July ending.
Pls OG's here. Help out with info. I am not looking for agents, but more of direction. I am still reading through this thread and the immigration website.
I have a first degree in Zoology, and MSC in parasitology. I will also consider PhD if there are chances of grant and PSWP. In my early 30's

Car Talk › Re: What’s One Interesting Thing You Always Keep In Your Car? by SanThiago: 6:02am On Sep 24, 2024 |
ArmadaHQ001: Asides the regular toolbox and it's entails that should be in a car, there are a few other important things every car owner must have in their car.
Empty fuel can Imagine running out of fuel on a very lonely load with the nearest fuel station a few kilometers up ahead and not having an empty fuel gallon to buy some in. Frustrating right? I thought so. Not all breakdowns are down to punctured tyres and dead batteries. Running out of fuel can also leave you high and dry, sometimes at a time you least expect too.
Jump leads If you ever have a flat battery and find help, you won't necessarily have to remove both batteries to start your car. A jump lead helps jumpstart a car without having to take out the battery.
First aid kit It never hurts to carry a basic first aid kit, whether you catch your finger while topping up oil, or are involved in a more serious accident.
Make sure your first aid kit is well stocked with plasters, bandages, tape, and gauze. A bottle of antiseptic spray probably wouldn’t go to waste either.
A torch It's one thing for your car to breakdown, but it's a different ball game if your car ever breaks down in the dark. A torch gives you the chance of doing a quick fix, if you're ever stranded at night on a very dark road.
In conclusion, aside from the regular toolbox and its contents, there are several essential items that every car owner should keep in their vehicle to ensure safety and preparedness for unexpected situations. These include:
As inconsequential as these may seem, having these items can help prevent bad situations, ensure safety, and provide peace while driving. It's best to be prepared and have these items in your car, than be prepared and have these essential items in your car, especially during King journeys or areas with limited services. 1. Leash. - My cat is the only other Passenger that has driven in the car with me several times that wasn't incidental. Nigerian Road agencies seem to have a problem with carrying him without restraining him down. Yeye people 2. Spoon. - Don't want to be stuck in traffic with no spoons to devour . I don't eat in the open so always have to buy and take to the car. 3. Water proof Crocs: Aye rainy season swimmers 4. Thumb Tags: 7pm Fridays regularly gets me inside town these days. I just look for a good spot and take out the week frustration on some unfortunate folks in the Alcatraz Penitentiary before I go home |

ObaKlaz: Public Admin graduate who, of all things she could do, resorted to prostitution. We all have choices, and our choices come with consequences - good or bad, that we must live with.
With the so-called 'Queen's English' that she can speak, she could've brushed herself up a little, learn the basics of broadcasting and be either a news caster, an OAP or both combined, that's just one of the other possibilities opened to her. But no! She chose prostitution!
There were times when feeding just once a day in Nigeria was a luxury for me, and I never considered armed robbery, or being a G-Boy, or a kidnapper. I've had seasons in my life when I was homeless in Baltimore, yet I didn't resort to stealing people's credit cards, and I didn't push drugs, as common with the homeless folks on the streets.
And I'm an orphan and a graduate too, just like her! Certificate no be everything! When the going gets tough, you have to look inwards and think of possibilities to make a honest living.
We like to say certain conditions made us do certain things, but it was ultimately our choice to do those things.
We must accept the consequences of the choices we make. Maryland geng spotted! Great contribution btw |
