Anytime I search for something on my browser and scroll down to the last part of the page.. My location shows Nigeria but if I check on the whatismyipaddress site it shows where my VPN is connected to.. Even when I check the whoer site it shows the same thing

Ok, I'll put it straight and simple. Google search engine policy stipulates that they get your location also from your recent browse history, as you've turned on your vpn, and denied google access to your location, they guess your location from your search history, and recent google adress location used on same device.

What it means is that your vpn is very ok as long as whoerdotcom or whatismyipadressdotcom is showing you your vpn designated location.

The only way you can stop seeing that location down below your search is to clear all your data from your app settings or betterstill, reinstall your browser and make sure your location is off and do not sign into any gmail account on chrome.

My intuition: i dont think prolific has access to the location shown by your search engine in anyway, but one cannot be too careful. Mine has been showing like that, and guess what, my location has been on, i just switched off now, yet prolific, respondent et al have been connecting fine, i even did a survey dis morning..

What should you worry about more: do not sleep off leaving your vpn on or logged into prolific,
Do not use multiple account on one browser, i even advice not to use multiple account on one phone even with dedicated browser,
Dont log on to website that use your location and make engagements while your vpn is on,
Don't buy things from international markets while vpn is on (amazon, ebay, et al)
Make sure you sign out from prolific Properly before switching off your vpn


Finally, don't be ridiculous if you need US number and you have d money, pay and get yours rather , make the money fast, cry about Nigerians wickedness later biko.

As with every other thing you do, you need to get your input right and a bit of luck to get survey.

Don't blame those refusing to comment on their 'about you' here as it is typical of Nigerians to feel that everyman on dsame platform with him is his competitor...

The truth is that if you don't get your 'about you' the first time, i don't think resetting may help as you may need a new account.

I'll tell you guys honestly, surveyors want people who tell the truth, yet have a vast experience. Some surveys are about smokers, some are about diabetes, some high blood pressure. In your 'about you'u dont have any of dose so it will automatically filter you out,

Thinking u might have to lie abt it and fill all you think may get you surveys?? Even worst a plan. They know dose who are lying, the purposely twist some questions and repeat it and if ur two answers are inconsistent, omoh, na oyo be ur case, some people just fill anyhow and think dey have plenty disease so dey can get survey, but take a look:
How can you be a student and be working full time
How can you be unemployed and your yearly income is 70000$
How can you be married and not be involved in decision making in ur house,
How can you be a student and living in subsidized house plan.

My advice: be real and input your current life data and let ur life experience get u survey

Also, in this thread, not everything will be said, you have to be attentive to the little details, especially those that are not spoken.

Finally: if u participated in that chronus big money survey dis afteenoon ...or you are about to do it, bro, it has four sections, make sure u screenshot the over 30 questions in section 1 as u are answering, the first question is about count dracula, if u see dat question, na it be dat. dem go use am trap u for section 4 ...or better still, be very sharp with a retentive memory.. Dose chronos questions no be here ooh
