One of Aspirants for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the just concluded PDP Primary elections, Honourable Oloye Surajudeen Abiodun Tiamy has sent his congratulatory message to the Oyo State incumbent Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on his victory at the Guber Primary election held at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan today.

Honourable Tiamy in a statement released in Ibadan by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan saying, His Excellency Engr Seyi deserved to be victorious in the Party’s Guber Primary election.

According to the statement, "I congratulate the People's Governor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for clinching the party’s ticket for a second term.
"Your Excellency sir, you have demonstrated your commitment to democracy by participating in this transparent process.

"Our great Party PDP has demonstrated, through the transparent process, the Party’s commitment to democracy and rule of law. It has demonstrated its respect for people and their choice through the ballot box". Hon Tiamy said.

In the meantime, Hon Tiamy also extended the greetings to his teeming supporters in the recently concluded PDP Primary elections to vote in party Flag bearer for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency Assignment come 2023.

In his statement, "Permit me to use this medium to thank all my teeming supporters in all aspects for the well done and our Party's delegates for their sacrifices and their commitment to democracy. In particular, I thank those who voted for me for your faith and confidence in me.

"However, since we came up short, we have to now rally behind all our party's candidates in every level of contests to help them prevail in the coming 2023 General elections", Hon Tiamy Urged.

One of the leading Aspirants for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the coming 2023 General Elections under the platform of People's Democratic Party (PDP) Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun also known as Hon Tiamy and other dignitaries had graced the Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) 2nd Annual Ramadan Lecture at its New Garage Head Office.

Hon Tiamy who was accompanied by his Campaign Team members to the event around 1pm on Saturday 23rd April, 2022.

In his welcome address, the event Host, Chairman Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi also known as Auxiliary thanked all the dignitaries for gracing the event while he specially thanked the Guest Lecturer all the way from Ilorin, Sheikh Buhari Musa.

Meanwhile, the PMS 2nd Annual Ramadan Lecture was entitled "Fear of Allaah" delivered by one of the popular Ilorin Scholars Sheikh Buhari Musa (Ajikobi 1) popularly called Buhari Omo Musa.

While delivering his Lecture, Sheikh Buhari said, Allah wanted everyone to fear Allah in whatever the capacity one is serving. He quoted one of the verses in the Holy Qur'an where Allah called upon the believers to fear Allah and be watchful of their plans for the future (Day of Judgment).

According to Sheikh Buhari, "Allah has called upon all believers to fear Him and each soul should be wary of their plans for the future (Judgement day) because every soul will account for his/her deeds on that Judgment Day.

"As the PMS Chairman (Auxiliary) will account for his own deeds so, his subordinates will account for theirs," Sheikh said.

The event was graced by other dignitaries among whom were Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun also known as Hon Tiamy Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency Aspirant in the coming 2023 General Elections under the platform of the PDP, Chief Imam of Lanase, Alhaji Sheikh Murtadho Olanase, the Chairman of the occasion, Asiwaju Adinni of Oyo State, Alhaji Mutiullahi Oladejo (Onimalu), Mother of the Day, Alhaja Modinat Bose Adedibu, and a member of the Oyo State Pilgrimage Board (Muslim Wing), Alhaji Abdmojeed Olanase (Imam OmiTitun) among others.

The first Annual Ramadan Lecture organized by Oyo state PMS under the Discipline Committee Chairman, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi held on Saturday 1st of May 2021 at the same Park Management office, New Garage, Ibadan.

A PDP Chieftain who is also one of leading aspirants for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the coming 2023 General Elections under the Platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun also known as Hon Tiamy has on Saturday, described the frontline Yoruba king and Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the third from the Alowodu Ruling House as a peace enthusiast and a celebrated custodian of the tradition and culture of Oyo kingdom.
The Alaafin of Oyo, who was the longest reigning in Oyo history having ruled for 52 years, died at the age of 83 in the late hours of Friday after a brief illness at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.
Hon Tiamy, in an emotional condolence statement released by his Media Aide, Mr Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan in Ibadan also commiserated with the Government of Oyo State, the family and the entire people of Oyo over the monarch's death.
The statement reads: “I am deeply saddened by the shocking passage of our dear father, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, who died in the late hours of Friday at the age of 83 after brief illness.
“I convey my deepest condolences to the Government of Oyo State, the entire Oyo State council of Obas and his immediate family over the exit of the very distinguished monarch.
“The late Oba Adeyemi was a peace enthusiast and a celebrated custodian of the culture and tradition of this Oyo kingdom.
“He made history as a traditional ruler with one of the longest and most eventful reign, having been on the throne for more than half of a century.
“We have indeed lost an icon of culture, tradition and socio-economic development. He stood for equity, fairness, justice and peaceful co-existence. His big shoe will be very difficult to fill. We will continue to celebrate his impactful life.
“I pray may God strengthen his family members, friends, well-wishers and the entire people of Oyo in this trying time,” Hon Tiamy prayed.

Hon Tiamy, according to an Easter message personally signed by him and released in Ibadan by his Media Aide Mr Sanusi Abdullahi Oyelekan, called on Akinyele/Lagelu constituents in particular to seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect deeply on what more they need to do as a people, to ensure that the political process this constituent is currently engaged in is successfully concluded and that the constituency continues to move towards a better future for all of its citizens.

In his statement, Hon Tiamy said: “I greet you all, especially our Christian brothers and sisters, as we celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For Christians all over the world, the major lessons of Easter, which we celebrate this year in the midst of general elections in our nation, are to be found in the Messiah’s Divine love and glorious self-sacrifice for the redemption of mankind.

“This year’s celebration of Easter is taking place at a period of very critical national choices and decisions, during which we must all be prepared and willing to make sacrifices for greater unity, peace, political stability and progress in our beloved constituency.

“We must therefore seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect deeply on what more we need to do as a people, to ensure that the political process in which we currently engage in is successfully concluded and that our beloved constituency, Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency continues to move towards a better future for all of its citizens by praying and voting credible leaders in all tiers of government especially in this Constituency,” he added.

Hon Tiamy however urged all Nigerians to follow the lessons of Easter and other injunctions on brotherly love, peaceful co-existence, tolerance, honesty, humility, justice, equity and fairness to all without discrimination contained in the Gospels are of particular importance to us as a nation as we continue to contend with the challenges of nation-building and development.

ALAO AKALA’S CONTRIBUTIONS REMAIN GREEN- HON. TIAMY

One of the leading aspirants for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency seat under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Honourable Oloye Suraj Abiodun also known as Hon Tiamy has expressed sadness over the death of a former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala who died on Wednesday Morning at age of 71.

In a condolence message in released by his Media Office in Ibadan, Hon Tiamy said that Alao Akala’s death was painful.

Tiamy described the deceased as a man of integrity, who served Oyo people and Nigeria with excellence.

He said Akala’s leadership qualities and significant roles while serving as a Governor under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party endeared him to many people.

”The late Alao Akala’s contributions to the Security in Nigeria Police Force as an Assistant Commissioner of Police during his career as a Police Officer made a significant impact on its growth and development,” the Federal Rep hopeful said.

HonTiamy condoled with Alao Akala’s wife, Mrs Oluwakemi Alao Akala, his children, and the entire people of Oyo state, urging them to take solace in his legacies and accept his death as the will of God.
