Attorney Job Description

We are looking for aspiring entry-level attorneys with a graduate degree in law for a full-time position. This position requires daily court appearances and an entrepreneurial spirit. Must have some experience in reviewing ethical violations and legal issues.

Attorney Responsibilities

• The candidate will have to review complaints to identify legal issues and ethical violations.
• Will also need to make decisions regarding the disposition of files and complaints.
• Will have to conduct legal research in various areas of federal and state law, which also includes case decisions, statutory law, evidentiary law, procedural and court rules, and legislation.
• Will have to prepare legal documents that contain pleadings, contracts, memoranda, subpoenas, letters, proposals, and/or other forms.
• Will also have to prepare cases for trial, which includes directing the gathering of evidence, formulating and filing required pleadings and motions, and preparing witnesses for testimony.
• Will also need to perform trials, that include delivering opening and closing statements, conducting direct and cross-examinations,
• Will need to prepare post-trial briefs
• Write a legal analysis and provide instruction and/or advice to others.
• Will have to communicate with members of the public regarding complaints, rules and procedures, and State Bar processes.
• Also, need to provide suggestion to non-attorney staff.
• Need to maintain adequate case, file, and related records to ensure effective completion of projects assigned and assists in the evaluation of the work product.
• Need to stay informed and keep staff within his/her areas of responsibility informed concerning the applicable rules, procedures, law, policies, and practices relating to the functions assigned.
• And will have to evaluate administrative problems and procedures and recommend solutions or alternative methods of procedures.
