A very Happy New Year to you all! My wish is that you realize all your dreams this year and if developing SAP expertise is one of them then I can say that it is very possible. 1. Put your SAP goal on paper. 2. Put the plans to achieving it (ECC6.0, materials and study time) on paper. 3. Start one day at a time So many distractions(good and bad) will come as usual but if you can patiently stick with working your plans one day at a time, you will be amazed at what you would have achieved by mid-year. Never you be distracted by where you will get the SAP jobs after your certification because if your unborn children will have hope of a successful SAP careers, you should much more be more optimistic! Opportunities have never been as much a problem to anyone as preparations, Cheers! |
For SAP Terp10 course overview, The link at the footer may be of some help or better still, checkout SAP official website. Cheers |
@idandie Sorry for the delay. I have been fully engaged in a project for quite a while now hence I have scarcely been on nairaland too. The Complete DVDs + installation (do-it-yourself screenshots) info has been emailed to your id. If you have decided to become a BASIS expert, this is a must have as SAP system configuration is a core part of your job. But if you just need to train on any of the functional Modules, all you need is to have ECC6.0 correctly setup for you on your laptop, desktop or external hard drive (so you don't lose your system), get the complete set of SAP training materials on that module(They can be few courses or very many courses depending on the module of your choice - Terp10, FICO, SD, MM , ). Choose your module and I will send you all the courses it contains. You may use this id to reach me on these and more - certify.sap@gmail.com Cheers! - |
Don' rush to conclusions until you have seen how far and sophisticated Bulk SMS solutions have gone this day. See what is possible and how - www.henoxict.com/registersms.php Show me a better solution and I will follow you asap. I stick only with the bests. Cheers! |
Hello all, Its been a while however, am very much concerned about the questions of the IDE ECC6.0 and have to find time to drop this note as time permits now. I have seen quite a lot giving their contacts out to offer this service but at same time many are still asking for it. Is it that those offering the service are not getting the job done or those requesting for the service are not making the contacts? 1. We can get this on your desktop, laptop or even external hard drives(so you don't have to format your system) 2. We might as well send you the installation DVDs with the detailed step by step screenshots of how to set it up for yourself if that is the issue here. Cheers and be sure to keep winning! |
@olu-romeo Thanks, The issue is not about the price as some are ready to over over 250k. Like I said its more about the fastest to drop the cash at the moment. Cheers! |

@ubamfrank. That will be good bruv. However, whether you choose India or UK be sure they can put ECC6 on your system or find a way to get it setup for you. You will be as good as the practices you undertake in the modules of your choice and there is no better environment to do that than ECC6. All the best in your pursuit. Don't let anyone discourage you with the questions of opportunities for if some of the boys in secondary schools today have hope of job opportunities and great careers how much more we! Cheers! |
@ubamfrank The cheapest country to go is India and they have have prooved to be good enough just as they are in many other technologies. Just do a little search for the top 10 and don't be too quick with commiting yourself until you have weighed all your options. Cheers! |
I think what we are doing here is to educate by asking and answering questions. Terp10 is not all there is to SAP and if everybody heads into TERP10 I bet you won't be able to pay your rent with the take home just as it is with every other job. I was only giving my honest answer to questions. However, most of the oil majors running on SAP have IS OIL eg. TotalFinaElf. I will live you with this guy, if he is generous enough with his time am sure he can help you with all the facts and figures you may need about IS OIL both in Nigeria and abroad. http://ng.linkedin.com/in/miodini Cheers guys! |
@ubamfrank There is SAP Industry Solution (IS) for Oil and Gas industries - SAP IS OIL&GAS. In my humble opinion, with your background in Chemical Engineering which is actually not far from Oil & Gas profession, this SAP solution will do you good. When you do well with this course you will be far more useful to the Oil and Gas majors than many who have masters. Cheers! |
Human Resource Professionals Every profession in life is being executed with technologies and HR is not an exception. SAP HR module is the hottest SAP module in the world next to FICO and experts are already forseeing this module take over the top spot in the near future. No matter your number of degrees and certifications in this field, the need to gain an IT skill in this filed can not be overemphasised. The future will be completely dominated with IT tools for whatever job. I suggest that anyone who needs an IT skill to support his/her profession should go for the best and the highest paying skill relevant to profession. SAP HR will put you at same pedestal as your other colleagues in the Fortune 500 companies all over the world. All major oil and Gas companies in this country run on SAP to say the least. I will be back soon for some other professional. Cheers! |
Great initiative Aliu, You may check on these guys as they offer Personalized Bulk SMS and alerts for 1:80k/SMS to all GSM networks. http://www.henoxict.com Am yet to see any match for them in Naija in terms of features and services. I use them myself. All the best in your dreams. Cheers! |
Let me give you the workflow of ATM/POS with respect to the components and how they interact with one another. A typical ATM is made up of 1. ATM Machine - the one everyone sees and interacts with for cash or inquiries 2. Switch Server - This is the server that integrates and routes the requests to the right bank or host. This server makes it possible for you to use your ATM card issued by ICB on Zenith bank machine. In Nigeria, Interswitch holds this server. 3. ATM Interface server - This server sits between the Switch server and the Core Banking application. It role is to convert ISO 8583 messages from the Switch to the language the core banking application understands and vice versa. 4. Core Banking Application (Globus, Phinacle, Flexcube, T24 etc.) - This is the banks software applications which hold all their customers and account information. Hope this helps. Cheers! |
Accountants: If your competence at the moment is in financial like accounting, you will find SAP FI very easier to deal with than any other SAP module. You may take on CO(SAP Control) later and what do you get? The almighty FICO consultant which is still leading the way as the hottest SAP module worldwide. Well if what you want is a lucrative SAP FICO career and no financial background, little extra determination will be required of you seeing that you will be learning two things at the same time - SAP FICO & Accounting. But I think its still worth every effort afterall the many of FICO experts never attended accounting classes either. Keep a tab on this page, next light may be your interest. Cheers! |
@poster did you get my post? I can't seem to find it in your thread. Cheers! |
Now for the SAP enthusiasts, Your professional background can make getting certified in SAP a lot easier. However, as a Nigerian you are already tough enough to handle any module that appeals to you irrespective of your background. If you have any experience in Networking and Database administration, BASIS will be a fantastic take. BASIS consultants are those that have developed competence in SAP implementation and configuration. So your networking and database (especially Oracle) background will be a great advantage. I will take on other professions subsequently. Cheers! |
@lawkey Give it another shot, there is no harm in trying afterall, its online application you have to do so no much cost involved. I have a friend who got a job with this guys without knowing anyone infact that was his first time of coming to Lagos(Though he was already ICAN Chattered before NYSC). This may just be your time, you never know. Cheers! |
He fullfiled not less than 70% of his coming haven been Born Again! For the parents and the fiancee, take heart in GOD Cheers! |
This may have been going on many years before now. If they were never successful with it over a long period of time they won't have this much customers. Where iniquity abound Grace muchmore abound - There must be something very special about Nigeria. Time will tell! Cheers! |
@poster You mean advanced degrees/programmes of any school in Nigeria or anywhere in the world? So we don't post out of context on your thread. Cheers! |
This points to one fact. Our leaders are so disconnected from the lead that it becomes almost impossible to have them contribute anything meaningful again. Oga Mark should be made to spend 3 weeks in a typical NYSC camp before sending in his extension proposal. Cheers! |
Congrats to all the successfuls!!! If it turned out otherwise for you, go to the department/faculty/School admin with your questions there will be someone that will give a listening ear. If you are on ground, you will know which way to go especially when it appeared you were short changed. Cheers! |
@olaOLUWAbalogun You got JAVA HOW TO PROGRAM by Deitel & Deitel for 3k?? Am sure it must be the Black and White version. I bought the Original full colour page 5th Edition for 5k many years ago. Without those highlighted colored sections it will be very difficult to know what to focus on in the concepts they analyze which actually makes the difference at the end. If yours is not coloured return it for the colored and see how easy Java can be. I equally read some of the good books some guys are recommending - Head First, good book but focuses more on SCJP Certification which will make one a good programmer afterwards you have to move up to studying for developer. - Thinking In Java, this book is for the techies and not for the one just coming in, They handled too many concepts at same time which may leave you completely lost before the end of each chapter. Start with Deitel then consolidate with this other two. Deitel started with as little as What is a computer to defining programing and different programing languages from Fortran, Cobol, Sql, plsql, VB, c# etc comparing their strenghts and weaknesses. |
@Thelonius SAAS and Cloud computing are not actually products hence got no basis to compete with SAP or Oracle. They are just a different way of offering software products and services. Software As A Service (SAAS) is a system of offering software applications on Pay-As-You go basis. You subscribe to use the service and it is cheaper in the sense that you won't have to buy the infrastructure nor even need IT experts for maintenance as the providers handle all that. SAP already has its own SAAS implementation and so do many other Enterprise Application companies. Cheers! |
@BAKAREAAT I agree with you completely, SAP ecosystem in Nigeria is just begining to open up for Nigerians. Little investment by the aspirants will make good if not better economic sense in my humble opinion! Cheers |
Java How To Program by Deitel & Deitel is a great book. But I think at poster has passed this stage. Cheers! |
