The Nigeria Police Force has arrested five suspected political thugs in Ikire on the eve of the Peoples Democratic Party rally in Irewole LGA, holding on Wednesday. Arms and ammunition were also reportedly recovered from the thugs.The troops while on patrol arrested five suspected political thugs in their hide out at Sabo area, Ikire. They were arrested while in possession of one 36 Hand Grenade, two empty AK 47 Riffle Magazines, a pair of Military Uniforms, Combat boot and  a bag containing personal belongings,”

APC plans to use the thugs to dissuade people from coming out en masse to welcome the PDP candidate. “The APC leaders in Irewole, Dr. Peter Babalola has mobilised thugs and members of his party to foment chaos in Ikire to create an impression that the PDP candidate is not welcomed and that the party is not popular in the town.

We hereby call the attention of the State Commissioner of Police, DSS and Othe security Agencies to provide adequate security during the Wednesday rally of the PDP. Enough security persionel should be deployed to comb campaign venues to ensure adequate security of lives and property. The security personnel should be deployed to strategic locations in Ikire and suburbs to forestall any breakdown of law and order.

19-year-old singer, Esther Benyeogo, has emerged winner of the God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT) Season 7.She went home with N250 million management deal, N10 million cash and a brand new car.

Esther, an undergraduate of the University of Benin, emerged winner in the GCGT Grand Finale held recently at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.


Ms. Benyeogo said she was elated to have won the prize having competed against other contestants who also performed remarkably well at the competition said...


“I am so happy and give thanks to the almighty God for making it possible for me to win this great prize at the competition".

According to her, she discovered her love for singing at the age of 13 and had never stopped singing since then.

Idowu Iluyomade, Head Pastor, City of David, said the aim of the competition was to recognise and celebrate talents in God’s children.
“The competition serves as an avenue to expose and develop gifted children as well as provide a platform for them to shine forth the light of God"

GCGT is a Christian talent competition that began in 2011 and is organised by the `City of David’, Victoria Island, a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

It is Africa’s Leading Youth Talent Competition featuring skills such as singing, dancing, musical instruments, spoken words, drama, writing and drawing.

Recent events in Oyo and other parts of the world concerning the activities of some Ifa priests from IJO IFA ADIMULA TEMPLE, BARA in Oyo town, wherein unsuspecting foreigners who are genuinely interested in the Yoruba culture and traditions had been dubiously manipulated and misled into receiving a non existing and nebulous tittles, which is a matter of great concern.
Specifically, some time ago on Mr. FRANCIVAN LEAO NOBRE was conferred with the following nebulous and unrecognized titles of 1) ARABA LOGUNEDE and 2) OBA IFA ADIMULA OF SOUTH AMERICA and his name changed to Ifatowo Adebayo.

Further, these unscrupulous Ifa priests conferred as well nebulous and unrecognized titles to
Mr. JOSE LARA as ARABA AWO OFUN AJITENA TEMPLE USA and name changed to Ifakayode Falade
Mr. DASIEL GUERRA as AKODA AWO OFUN AJITENA TEMPLE USA and name changed to Awotunde Ajisola
Mr. RAYMOND CARRABEO as ASEDA AWO OFUN AJITENA TEMPLE USA and name changed as Ifalomo Ifalana
Mr. FERNANDO GARRIDO as AGBOBGBON AWO OFUN AJITENA TEMPLE USA and name changed as Ifalase
Added to these aforementioned titles are other nebulous titles given to unsuspecting foreigners and they are under investigation.
In the light of this, any one that is in doubt of any title given to him/ her or society should endeavour to contact the palace of the Alaafin for further clarification.
