Ebonyi APC Conducts Free, Fair and Peaceful Congress, Elects New leaders with Fanfare ...As Ebonyi PDP produces two party chairmen. Ugonna Utulor 17/10/2021 The Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress yesterday conducted its State Congress, electing state executives that would pilot the affairs of the party for the next 4 years. The venue of the APC Congress, the Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki, had the similitude of a concert venue. With fanfare and en grande pompe, excited party men and women casted their votes for their leaders. The unity could be felt, the first class organization endearing, the leadership of Engr. David Umahi had proved to be the defining factor. The casting of the votes into the ballot boxes reminded one of the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem. At the end of the day, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha was returned as the party chairman. The Ebonyi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also held its Congress. The atmosphere at the venue, People's Club Abakaliki, was gloomy and hopeless. And the outcome, redefined disorganization. Rather than elects its leaders, the state chapter of the PDP produced two factions, including two party chairmen namely Barr. Silas Joseph Onu and Okoroafor Tochukwu Okorie. In a move that shocked observers, the PDP Congress committee quickly swore-in a faction without allowing aggrieved party members exhaust the Congress Appeal options. Reacting, Barr. Silas Joseph Onu, whose perchant for making press releases has gained notoriety, condemned the process and declared himself the only one qualified to be state party chairman. "Election did not hold," he stated in a press release. "As at the day of screening of candidates I was the only Chairmanship Aspirant who fulfilled the requirements of law as prescribed by the PDP Constitution and the current approved Guidelines for Congresses. "I call on Ebonyians to ignore the attempts to foist an impostor being claiming to have sworn-in someone as Chairman when even the Congress Appeals have not held - such an untidy hatchet job by desperate individuals hungry for power for selfish goals only." As Ebonyi APC triumphs in the sweet sensation of success, Ebonyi PDP travails in the allure of chaos. Clearly, Umahi is the difference. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=4401076683304055&id=100002052994835

By Ugonna Utulor 6th May, 2021. Yesterday while the sky prepared to turn bluer than ever before all over the world, the streets of Enugu turned red as angry youths descended on Bishop's Court and Holy Ghost Cathedral in protest of the detention of Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, by the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga. This ungodly detention followed wild media persecution of Rev. Mbaka by media bandits at the presidency. Mbaka had been invited to the diocesan headquarters on Tuesday and had been prevented from leaving till all hell broke loose on Wednesday. The presidency, wallowing in the wilderness of blame games, had responded to Mbaka's demand for better leadership or total abdication from the stage of governance with a claim from hell. Rather than accept responsibility for the security misfortunes seen everywhere across Nigeria, the presidency alleged that Mbaka was speaking the truth only because Mbaka and his associates had been denied contracts. A man who sowed seeds naturally would expect to harvest fruits, but Mbaka who had sowed twice towards the Buhari project, and against the wishes of his kinsmen, was denied from harvesting fruits. If Mbaka came for a contract after all he had done to bring Buhari into government, Mbaka should have been given contracts. Having failed to repay Mbaka for his support, even while repaying Pantami and Gumi, a decent presidency shouldn't have washed its dirty linen in the open. But lost in the profligacy of indecency, the Buhari presidency gave the most shocking of responses to Mbaka's innocent and godly demand for effective leadership. Suddenly Mbaka, once a darling of the presidency and a rising star in the Catholic Church, became an enemy, an Ipobian and a persona nongrata. And when Mbaka was detained by the Catholic Church perhaps at the behest of the presidency, the bait for anarchy was set lose to a post #ENDSARS crowd ready for anarchy. The response of the masses shows the level of support Mbaka has. But Mbaka didn't get this support through the backdoor. He didn't give anyone N1000 to protest for his release. Mbaka has rather built a fanatic support base by listening to God and speaking the mind of God even when it goes against the wishes of the powers of this earth. Like Micaiah ben Imlah, the prophet who in 1 Kings 22:1-38, defied the lying spirit that came upon the prophets of Israel to speak the truth to King Ahab and foretell his imminent destruction, Mbaka has stood on the path of the truth saying it as he heard it from God even when doing so threatens his fortunes, his future and his fame. Indeed, saying it just as he heard it from God has earned Mbaka accolades on some occasions and derision at others. It has won him fans and foes, stardom and sanctions. Yet on the occasions when his truth upset the people, Mbaka has largely been misunderstood. For whereas we imagined Mbaka had connived with the forces of iniquity, Mbaka only spoke what God had revealed to him. In 2015 and 2019 he prophesied the eventual victory of Muhammadu Buhari. In 2020, he prophesied the supreme Court victory of Supreme Court Governor Hope Uzodimna of Imo State. In all of these cases, Mbaka went against the tide but Mbaka never went against the message of the Lord. A man speaking the mind of God should be left alone. If Mbaka is blessing Nnamdi Kanu, perhaps we too should have an introspection. How can we curse a man God has blessed? We may not like him, but if God likes him we need to see how we can also like him. For, to avoid the wrath of God, it is best we're on the side of the Lord. And when we finally grow to like him perhaps then we can draw him back when he moves to the unrighteous path. We need to like him so we can dialogue like friends rather than have a shouting match and probably an ungodly shootout with unknown men wielding ungodly guns. Mbaka has consistently shown to hear from God. He should be left alone to keep doing the work of God. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=3919597368118658&id=100002052994835

Ebonyi END SARS Youth Summit: A National Blueprint, Further Proof of Umahi's Exceptionality. By Ugonna Utulor Planned and executed in the image of exellence, the 2021 Ebonyi END SARS Youth Summit, which held from March 3rd to March 10th 2021, will for years remain a blueprint for similar summits across the nation. Articulate, talented and vibrant youths from all works of life numbering about 1500, selected based on merit, gathered under an atmosphere of tranquility, in a bespoke building of great architectural dexterity, listened to speakers renowned in their fields, and afterwards came up with a communique redefining what ought to be if the society is to progress. As many as the droplets of water in a heavy rainfall so where the knowledge passed to Ebonyi youths. Issues discussed included youth participation in politics and governance, harnessing youth potentials, reforming education, economic diversification, entrepreneurship, security, entertainment and sports. Governor David Umahi left no stones unturned in pulling in such resource persons as would give Ebonyi youths the best. With authority, with zeal and in the similitude of Aristotle they taught youths wowed to their bone marrows. The results will soon be felt, a seismic socio-economic turnaround in the salt of the nation, a mushrooming of billionaires, intellectuals, sports figures and entertainers, transforming Ebonyi and taking the nation by storm. Rather than protest on streets and let hoodlums infiltrate their ranks, the youths of Ebonyi state where empowered through the summit to protest through their communique and let the intellectuals in their ranks speak to the world. In education, they demanded that the UNESCO budgetary benchmark that 26% be reserved for education be followed. In Youth participation in governance, they asked that 40% of government positions being reserved for youths, they demanded an end to gerontocracy, lamented the spate of sexual harrasment against females and called for statutory frameworks shielding women in politics from sexual harassment by party bosses. They was a call for a youth training institute, for a data centre, for youth empowerment and for societal harmony. The summit was a confab of youths and their communique a contract for national development. Some of the participants will be empowered with a million naira each and since Governor Umahi has made clear that he will still work with all participants in the future and create avenues for them to turn their knowledge to wealth, we will soon have about 1500 young millionaires in our clime. Ebonyi END SARS Youth Summit has come and gone but the nation has taken note that not only is it the first of its kind but it is an excellent blueprint for other states and the nation at large. Governor David Nweze Umahi who made it all possible will forever be celebrated for his exceptionality. A city set on a hill can never be hidden.

THE CANKERWORM OF MISGUIDED UTTERANCES WILL ONLY RUIN EBONYI STATE AN OPEN LETTER FROM COMRADE UGONNA UTULOR, ON BEHALF OF EBONYI YOUTHS, TO GOVERNOR UMAHI, SENATOR ANYIM AND OTHER EBONYI LEADERS PLEADING THAT THEY SHEATH THEIR SWORDS, EMBRACE PEACE AND LEAD EBONYI RIGHT. I write on behalf of Ebonyi youths to you His Excellencies expressing our displeasure with recent developments in our dear state. The youths of Ebonyi state have watched with dismay as handshakes go beyond the elbow and letters and statements of shame emanate from the tentacles of our revered leaders. We read those letters mouth agape, the allegations disturbing, the drumbeats of war too loud to be ignored. We listened to Governor David Umahi as he alleged that our political fathers are sponsors of mayhem and chaos in Ebonyi State. We found the claims worrisome. Without throwing caution to the wind, we find it hard to believe that those who built the house that's Ebonyi State will now set it on fire. The youths of Ebonyi State find it bewildering that Senator Dr. Sam O Egwu, the pioneer executive governor of Ebonyi state, will engage in acts inimical to the progress of the state that he laboured to build. We also disagree with the security report that Senator Anyim, who has played active role in enthroning good governance in our state, will now be the leader of hoodlums, treasonous felons, cultists and secessionists whose only goal is to reenact the ruins of Libya in Ebonyi state. And begin to lead these people just few days after Governor Umahi left the PDP for the APC. Governor Umahi stated that those allegations were made by security agencies but we wish to remind Governor Umahi that security reports are not always correct. The CIA came to President George W. Bush of the United States in 2003 with reports of chemical weapons in Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Bush went on a dangerous exhibition that left Iraq in ruins and Suddaim, his family and associates exterminated. It turned out that the security report was wrong. There was no weapon of mass destruction in Iraq. The FBI, the CIA and several other trusted security agencies in the USA also came out with a security report in 2017. They concluded that Russia, and not the American people, had elected US president Donald Trump. The claims were spurious from the onset but were quickly believed because they came from security agencies. This wild claim led to the establishment of a special investigation counsel, impeachment proceedings and the waste of billions in US taxpayers money. It turned out there were lies. Trump was elected by Americans and not Russians. These two examples prove that security reports are not always correct and should rather be investigated properly before being made public. The youths of Ebonyi State find it worrisome that Governor Umahi didn't first reach out to appropriate authorities to investigate these claims and make the necessary arrests before making them public. Worrisome too are the profanity laddened letter from Senator Anyim Pius Anyim. It was clear Senator Anyim wrote his letter with sadness. The agony could be felt. The insults, the slinging of muds, the allegations. The letter was a battlefield of dangerous, disastrous and cataclysmic words. The letter demeaned the personality of Senator Anyim. It's the kind of crude letters written by Shekau and friends. The letter made several allegations but provided justification for none. Our leaders have not set a good example and that makes us unhappy. We the youths of Ebonyi State stand on the platform of peace. We do not care about whatever party anyone belongs to. All we want is peace, dividends of democracy and good governance. We have read the letters from our leaders. We have heard the chants of war. We see that we could become victims. We see that there are dangerous days ahead. It's why we appeal for peace. Choosing to toe a different path will engender unimaginable consequences. Certain utterances could set this state on fire, make it ungovernable and give peace a run. Hoodlums will capitalize on some statements to perpetrate evil. The cankerworm of misguided utterances is the foundation of the decline of civilizations from Mesopotamia to Egypt and on to the Swedish Empire. Ebonyi is a peaceful, peace-loving state, but at this rate a degeneration to something else is not unimaginable. We plead that our leaders let the eagle perch and also let the hawk perch. He who says the other should not perch will by no reason live to tell the tale. Ebonyi is PDP, Ebonyi is also APC. We can live side by side in harmony and in brotherhood while joining forces to contribute our quota in delivering good governance, peace, youth empowerment and security of lives and properties. God bless Ebonyi State! God bless Nigeria! ©Comrade Ugonna Utulor Movement for Deepening Democracy.

Igbere TV fed us fake news. Why couldn't they highlight that the party executives were already dissolved. IS IGBERETV PARTISAN? neoclassical: |
UMAHI’S BLIND AMBITION IS THE NEMESIS OF HIS CONSCIENCE By Senator Emmanuel Onwe “I offered this movement [from PDP to APC] as a protest against the injustice being done to South East by PDP.” - Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State There are a number of perfect justifications that the governor of Ebonyi State, Engr Dave Umahi, could have advanced for his decampment from the PDP to the APC in pursuit of the presidency of Nigeria. Grounding his reason on the purported “injustice” meted out to the South East by the PDP betrays a complete absence of conscience. This ludicrous claim is fed by nothing but blind ambition. What is “unjust” is to have systematically sabotaged the 2019 presidential campaign of the PDP in Ebonyi State at every turn, not to mention the financial and structural sponsorship of opposition candidates against PDP candidate in the National Assembly election. But for the funds I provided the Atiku/Obi State Campaign Coordinator, he would have failed catastrophically in his duties during the presidential campaign rally in Abakaliki on 2nd February, 2019. To be clear, the following facts represent the degree of PDP’s “injustice” against the South East between 1999 and 2015: 1. Sen. Chuba Okadigbo; Sen. Evans Enwerem; Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim and Sen. Ken Nnamani each became a President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under PDP. 2. Sen. Ike Ekweremadu became Deputy President of the Senate under a PDP federal administration. 3. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha became a Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives under a PDP federal administration. 4. Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim became the Secretary to the Government of the Federation under a PDP federal administration (the first in the history of the South East). 5. Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala became the Finance Minister & Coordinating Minister of the Federal Executive Council of the Government of the Federation under a PDP administration. 6. Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika was appointed the Chief of Army Staff under a PDP administration (the first in the history of the South East). 7. Dr Ogbonnaya Onovo was appointed the Inspector General of Police under a PDP federal administration (the first of its kind in the history of the South East). 8. Dr Aruma Ote and Dr Ndidi Onyiuke were respectively appointed the DG of the Nigerian Stock Exchange under a PDP federal administration. 9. A state burial was granted in honour of General Odumegwu Ojukwu by a PDP President (unimaginable under the configuration of the current federal administration). 10. A ministerial appointment was granted to the son of late General Aguiyi Ironsi (unimaginable under the current federal administration). 11. IPOB was neither proscribed nor its members slaughtered like wild animals on the streets of Igbo towns and cities under a PDP federal administration. 12. Enugu-Abakaliki-Ogoja trans-saharan African highway was constructed to a quality standard by a PDP federal government. 13. Federal University Ikwo was constructed, commissioned and commenced under a PDP federal administration. 14. Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, was designated under a PDP federal administration. 15. Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Ebonyi State was designated under a PDP federal administration. 16. Judges who hail from Ebonyi State were elevated to the Supreme Court of Nigeria for the first time in the history of State under a PDP federal administration. 17. Akanu Ibiam International Airport was so designated under a PDP federal administration. 18. The PDP gifted Governor Umahi the opportunity to serve as its state chairman for 4 years, as a Deputy Governor for 4 years and now as a two-term Governor. I could go on and on. Not a single one of these attainments has been replicated under the current APC federal administration, nor is it possible to envisage such replication. Opinions are not facts. In the immortal words of George Orwell: “Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” Umahi’s blackmail against the PDP is worse than pure wind, it’s pure crap! ____________________________________________ Senator Onwe represented Ebonyi Central at the Senate for 6 months circa 2010, after spearheading the gubernatorial campaign of David Umahi in 2015, he reluctantly accepted to be Ebonyi state commissioner for information. Following the election of 2019, he refused the same position and decided to rather mentor youths than be in government.

Movement For Deepening Democracy's Ugonna Utulor Welcomes Edo Gubernatorial Election Results, Congratulates Obaseki. The convener of the Movement for Deepening Democracy (MoveDem), Comrade Ugonna Utulor, has in a statement made available to the press congratulated the winner of yesterday's Edo gubernatorial election Governor Godwin Obaseki of the People's Democratic Party. He advised Obaseki who won the election with 307,955 votes against APC's Ize-Iyamu who got 223,619 votes to strive to repay Edo voters with dividends of democracy and good governance. The democracy and good governance activist whose group has been at the forefront of the struggle for true democracy in Nigeria noted that despite reports of violence and police intimidation in the buildup to the election, the result proves rigging had been less flagrant than in previous elections. The statement reads in part: "...I congratulate Obaseki on his victory. This election proves Edolites are happy with his leadership and want him to continue irrespective of whatever party he governs with. He must now get to work and return the good gesture. This is the time to leave lasting legacies, deliver the dividends of democracy and fulfil his promise to offer good governance to the good people of Edo state. The electoral victory of Obaseki despite all efforts by certain antidemocratic forces in Lagos and Edo to defeat him shows that if elections are free and fair the people's voice can always be heard. When Nigeria finally accepts true democracy, our collective voices of reason will always be louder than the barking of angry godfathers demanding for a large chunk of the masses' commonwealth. Accolades must be given to certain key players who decided to make this election a bit free and a little fair. We know what the police, the army and the DSS can do if the president orders them to ensure his party's candidate wins at all cost. We all saw what they did few hours to the election when they decided to barricade the hotel housing some PDP governors. And then there's INEC who with few billions can inflate figures. But these two actors decided to do the right thing. Movement For Deepening Democracy commends them. We specifically commend President Buhari for the decision to stay neutral in Edo and implore him to demand that his party accepts the result in good faith and not go on appeal before the election petition tribunal. Not only are these appeals expensive, they dent our democratic credentials, putting our elections to question and therefore weakening our democracy. We plead with the president to not let this new leaf become yellowed or discoloured by antidemocratic diseases but to rather let it flourish and remain evergreen. We request that in elections were candidates decide to seek redress through the courts because they were truly cheated that judges are allowed to judge with their conscience and not under influence of forces from "above". Our anti-corruption penalties should be extended to judges who have been found to sell justice to the highest bidder. Edo proves that we can rewrite the narrative. It shows that not only can godfatherism be defeated but that free and fair elections can be conducted in Nigeria and true democracy can be allowed to germinate. What just happened in Edo state is a democratic baby step. The question is: can the baby be allowed to fully develop it's limbs and so begin to walk, run and even fly in the euphoria of true democracy in all parts of the nation? Movement for Deepening Democracy hopes that yes becomes the answer. Signed: Comrade Ugonna Utulor Convener, MoveDem. 20/09/2020." |
Nigeria has replaced tyrannical dictatorship with tyrannical democracy says Ugonna Utulor as he congratulates Nigerians on their 21 years of uninterrupted democracy, ...Calls for collective effort in deepening our democracy. The leader of the Movement for Deepening Democracy, Comrade Ugonna Utulor, has extended his congratulations to all Nigerians upon Nigeria's hitting of the unprecedented milestone of 21 years of uninterrupted democracy. He noted that this giant stride is a firm testament to Nigerians aspirations to have a government that is truly of the people, run by the people themselves and transacts only for the people. In a statement made available to the press, Comrade Ugonna said that 21 years of democracy in Nigeria, a country that had for years been bedevilled by military juntas and inhumane dictatorships, called for celebration. "The eyes of our nation had bled sour from the tyranny meted by the most wicked of dictators and it wasn't surprising that when we finally transitioned to democracy 21 years ago our compatriots heaved a sigh of relief. Luckily, we didn't totally move from frying pan to fire as democracy in Nigeria has brought much gains least of which is the freedom we all now enjoy: the freedom of expression. "On democracy day, Nigerians have a reason to be glad. In theory, we can now have some say in the direction our nation should take. In theory we can elect who we want. "Yet caution must be taken. In dwelling on theories and theories alone, ours has become a pseudo-democracy. Tyrannical dictatorship has been replaced by tyrannical democracy. Our leaders have not exhibited the true spirit of democracy albeit we claim to be a democracy. Anyone who accidentally gets to power in Nigeria immediately arrogates to himself the power of God, deciding to be a ruler instead of a leader, deciding the fate of his "subjects" without listening to their objective voices. From local government chairmen, to state governors, the president and other public officials, Nigeria's democracy is today populated by minidictators that need to be brought back to the path of democratic righteousness. "What is worse is that Nigeria's democracy seems to be waning as the years stroll by. It appears that the Nigeria of 2008 was more democratic than the Nigeria of 2018 and the Nigeria of 2010 more democratic than the Nigeria of 2020. The gains of our first few years have now been eroded by our lust for power and the Nigerian curse to only care about the next election instead of the next generation. "Whereas dissenting voices were accommodated in times past, dissenting voices today are either in prison or in exile. While Agba Jalingo spent almost half a year in prison, Reno Omokri is still in exile. While Ohimai Amaize is in exile, Rotimi Jolayemi rots in prison. "Social media has been strangulated and free speech is under threat. It's true that we have the freedom of speech but what of freedom after speech? "And then where is the dividends of our democracy? Where are the promised palliatives or those who are not in government are now undeserving infidels? While poverty keeps getting worse (the Nigerians of 1999 were on average not as poor as the Nigerians of 2019), inequality increases with reckless abandon. People now move to politics as an escape from unemployment rather than as an avenue to contribute to societal development. "Elections are still marred by violence and election rigging is now a thing of pride. Corruption remains rife and eye services paid to the fight of graft. "Our society is broken. Nothing seems to be working. Ours have become a nation of blind people led by blind people. For while I'm tempted to argue that we're not all blind, it would amount to blindness to not see that it's a blind electorate that elects a blind leader. "Looking at Nigeria's democracy, it won't be difficult to see a 21 year old still sulking his mother's milk. "As we celebrate, we must open our eyes, we -leaders and followers alike - must snapped out of this blindness and deepen our democracy." Ugonna Utulor is the Convener of Movement for Deepening Democracy (MoveDem).

By Ugonna Utulor 30/05/2020 Constituents of Ebonyi Central Zone, have in a unanimous expression of confidence on their representative at the Nigerian Senate Senator Obinna Ogba, applauded the Senator for effective representation. Speaking to our correspondents, the constituents noted that Obinna Ogba has been energetically delivering. Some of the things they felt he did that warranted their applause include sponsoring multiple bills, massive empowerment of the people, palliatives sent to alleviate their agonies in these trying times of coronavirus outbreak and much more. A constituent, Chief Imenka Nwanchor of Ezza North, noted that Ogba's genius at good leadership has astounded even his sternest critics, silencing them, and turning into his supporters individuals whose political affiliations differ from Senator Ogba's. He confided in us that at the grassroots level, people who hitherto criticized Senator Obinna Ogba have suddenly become his staunchest defenders. Comrade Chibuike Nweke aka Koded, a youth leader in Ikwo, argued that a clear testament to Ogba's effectiveness and relevance at the floor of the Senate is the fact that Senator Ogba of the PDP was able to influence the appointment of an Ebonyian as one of the legislative aides to the APC President of the Nigerian Senate. This, he told us, is a huge feat when juxtaposed with the tune-dictating role of political party affiliation in who gets what in Nigeria. Koded said that Senator Obinna Ogba's go-getter personality, his pragmatic leadership, his clear articulation and sound reasoning have combined to pave way for him and his constituents and have rules and norms broken on their behalf and in their favour. Mrs. Nwanyigwe Nweche, a widow from Alike Ikwo praised Senator Obinna Ogba for extending palliatives to her. She narrated how she had come back from the farm one day to meet strangers who brought foodstuffs to her. She said the items given included a 5kg bag of rice, a carton of indomie, yams and ingredients for cooking them. Everyone we spoke to expressed admiration at Senator Ogba's representation and expressed confidence in his capacity to do even more before his tenure elapses in 2023.

Nigeria Has Got to do Something about Population Explosion in Northern Nigeria By Ugonna Utulor February 10, 2020. The future of this country is already bleak enough but a more precarious catastrophe is the uncontrollable population explosion especially in the north. It's not rare to see one Hausa/Fulani man who cannot feed 10 people having up to 50 kids. Majority of these kids end up on the streets. They become easy recruits for insurgents. Most others become cattle rearers who today are the dreaded killer herdsmen. Yet others move south and become cobblers, gate men, petty traders, okada riders and yes, criminals. Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world because of this. Muhammed Sanusi II, Emir of Kano, was right when boldly stated that marrying many wives and giving birth to many kids was the cause of poverty in the north. No one can feed such population. Even if government decides to put them on some form of welfare, there will never be enough to carter to their needs. And what more? No one is ready to train these kids. Even though there are not enough schools to train them, some informal and moral education at home would have perhaps made them to be more useful to the society. Instead they're left to learn on their own and they almost always learn the wrong things. Yet their fathers are still giving birth to more kids. Just the other day, the leader of the House of Representatives Hon. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa claimed on the floor of the house that he already had 27 kids and still counting! God forbid but prevanture his political opponents decide to assassinate him who will take care of his many kids? It has also emerged that his father has 40 kids. Senator Abbo Elisha of Adamawa has been reported to have an 11- month old uncle from his step mother. The north is giving birth to children it cannot feed. And you know what happens when you raise children in hunger? They become angry. They become psychopaths, they kill, they destroy and they don't care. The north has to be confronted with this. They have to realize that very soon Boko Haram will be child's play. The north should support legislation to reduce the number of children that can be fathered by one man and I suggest five. The north should speak up because this catastrophe will hit them first. But it won't only affect the north. These kids move south and become a lot of things. They come south and compete for unavailable resources while also contributing to noise pollution, traffic congestion and heinous crimes. So southerners should speak up. Mr. Speaker, southerners should speak up. Mr. Speaker you have to show you are powerful. You have to confront this powerful disaster with a powerful bill. https://ugonnautulor..com/2020/02/nigeria-has-got-to-do-something-about.html |
Theoretical. In 1981, no one would have believed the USSR could dissolve. But 10 years later it happened and there was no violence. One day we will all see that our union has failed and we will negotiate our divorce peacefully. blasted12: |
Don't be ignorant my friend. How you lie on your bed and assume that others don't know what they are talking about is disgusting. Do you need to go to North Korea or Iran to confirm it's a hell hole? So, what happens to reading news? Using the internet? So, one must go to Sambisa to confirm it's a warzone controlled by jihadists? Take it or leave it, the only solution to Nigeria's problems is dissolution. [s] budaatum:[/s] |
1. The minorities in the north, like minorities elsewhere, are free to leave if their lives are threatened as it already is. 2. Many in the north support Sharia and would love to see all of Nigeria turned into a Sharia state. They may not be terrorists but they wouldn't mind if somehow all of Nigeria is whipped into their ideology. 3. Muslims in Western Nigeria, except for Professorship Ishaq Akintola and very few others, are not a security problem. But it's my believe that once the north secedes Nigeria will dissolve just as it happened in the USSR in 1991. For other than religious differences, ethnic differences and disagreements remain a big problem and I do not see Yorubas and Igbos being in one country if given a choice. I also think that the minorities in the South South won't be interested in being in the same country with Igbos. Everyone should be free to form alliances and be in their own nation. There's need for honest discussions. The confab of 2014 gagged conferencemen from discussing the unity of Nigeria but time and time again, it becomes clear that if the unity of Nigeria is nor renegotiate Nigeria may be thrown into hot water. budaatum: |
Are the minorities safe now? How many of their homes have been razed by Fulani herdsmen? How many northern minorities are in IDPs? Persecuted everywhere, the Jews had to move from diverse places to the state of Israel. Minorities in the north should be encouraged to move to other countries including Odua Republic or the other succeeding nations of the retired Nigeria. budaatum: |
In a lengthy post made on Facebook, Hackers Day Author and Public Affairs Researcher Ugonna Utulor blasted Nigeria's Christians telling them "You're 21st Century fools," in response to their defense of Father Ejike Mbaka after his "prophecy" on Hope Uzodinma's victory was affirmed by a Supreme Court judgement in which Uzodinma who came 4th in the election was declared winner. HerNigeria's Christians are fools. They're zombies who do not have a mind of their own. Nigeria's Christians are ready to enter a pitch as far as a preacher has told them to. Nigeria's Christians are afraid to open the rotten yarnsh of preacher because they believe they will die if you do. They very easily disregard the word of God in Matthew 7:7 by judging others but are scared of judging evil "men of God" because they don't want to be cursed by them, they don't want preachers to make them unfortunate, unsuccessful or to cause them to die prematurely. When a Nigerian Christian catches a pastor stealing, or lying or committing adultery, they will rather keep quiet than expose him because they don't want to be seen as touching "God's anointed". We saw this after the Supreme Court declared Hope Uzodinma who came fourth in an election winner of that election. The Nigerian Christian who loves miracles faked or real thinks it's a fulfilment of God's prophecy. Or Mbaka's prophecy. The Christians of Nigeria do not want to entertain any criticism of Mbaka. "How can you say that Mbaka who is very close to the leadership of the APC knew the APC's plan before hand?" You will die, they shout. "Don't dare Mbaka. Mbaka will kill you." Nigeria's Christians are big fools. They're ignorant of the faith they profess. But will these fools listen to me? Can these idiots listen to one of their own who wishes to enlighten them? Now listen to me, you fool. Because a man claims to have heard from God does not mean they're telling the truth even when they think they're. Listen to the book of Ezekiel Chapter 13 you dumb idiot: Ezekiel 13:1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 13:2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; 13:4 O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts. 13:5 Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD. 13:6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word. 13:7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken? 13:8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD. (KJV) Ezekiel 13:1-2; 4-8 Why do you find it so easy to defend preachers, you fool, when Apostle Peter has already warned us that there are false prophets and false teachers amongst us? Have you not read your Bibles, you lazy zombies? Have you not come across the book of 2 Peter chapter 2? "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet." (KJV) 2Peter 2:1-2, 16 Apostle Peter was clear. There are false teachers and prophets amongst us. If they're not held to account, if they're not rebuked, if they're protected by an uninformed, foolish congregation they will become the norm. Now, because we don't know who is who, why don't we hold all pastors to account at all times so that they will all always be careful to do the right thing? Why do you choose to remain a brainless sheep while wolves become shepherds of God's flock? Why don't you use your God given brain? The book of Revelation Chapters 2 and 3 goes further to describe in great details that out of seven churches in Asia only 2 were righteous. The unrighteous churches were condemned together with their pastors. Now think about it you fool and become bold enough to say your mind no matter whose Ox is gored. Share to awaken Nigeria's Christians most of whom have chosen to be foolish." |
IPOB Is A Cancerous Disease By Ugonna Utulor The leadership of IPOB has failed to convince any sensible Igbo that they know what they are doing. They response is at best watery and at worst paints the picture of delinquents unable to tame their followers. Perhaps, this is to be expected. Being that their illogical leader is raising miscreants in his own image. I have written long ago that Nnamdi Kanu is an enemy of Ndigbo. With proof, I explained how Nnamdi KANU entered a pact with the Buhari administration, how he escaped the country with aid from the federal government and how they have sponsored him ever since. Nnamdi Kanu was in Harumberg on August 9 ahead of the Iri ji Ndigbo in Germany and expressly instructed his followers to attack Senator Ike Ekweremadu and Chief Nnia Nwodo, president of Ohaneze worldwide. Chief Nnia later did come and only Senator Ekweremadu suffered the disgrace. A true Igbo son cannot naked an elder in the village square. This is aru, an abomination that can only be atoned for with huge sacrifices. But here are these IPOB youths committing atrocities and promising to do more. IPOB has had to come up with flimsy excuses for their discordant behaviour. Thy have explained, incoherently, how Ekweremadu's attire provoked them to attack. Why should he replace his isi agu with coat of arm ndi zoo? They ask. But I in turn have questions for IPOB. Is Ike Ekweremadu not a Senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria? Was he not invited to Germany on account of his position as a Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria? Is Igbo land no longer part of Nigeria? If members of IPOB think they can do more than him they should come home and contest elections. Efulefus that have not contributed anything to the betterment of our people. Is it even commonsensical to have Nigerian passport in your back pocket and claim not to be a Nigerian? This is the mental problem I'm talking about. And in confirmation IPOB and supporters have come out to explain in great length how they are frustrated in foreign lands. They say our leaders chased them to foreign lands and with their degrees they are now mere cleaners, mere gatemen working many jobs to eke a living. IPOB has become populated by cancerous nonentities who are unable to make something of their lives. But why has IPOB endorses mediocrity? There are people making it right here in Nigeria. Why remain in a foreign country after your Visa has expired? Our people blame everybody for their woes but never themselves. Individuals are building other countries, employing millions of others. Certain individuals are also building Nigeria, employing millions. But these miscreants, some of whom their family land was sold to send abroad, will rather disgrace their ancestors than be useful to themselves. Nigeria had failed you. But you have also failed yourself. Finally, IPOB is threatening to mete the Ekweremadu treatment on other Igbo leaders. Governors have been marked. Senators. Sociopolitical leaders. A layman whose forte is simplicity of reasoning will jubilate. These simpletons will encourage violence just to make a point. But IPOB fails to understand something. An Okro plant can never be taller than the person that planted it. If it gets too tall it is bent so low even a child can pick up the fruit. People will cry at the end of the day but it won't be our leaders. Our leaders have the money to get local security in any country they get to. In fact, because of what happened, diplomatic rapporteur will start to ensure Nigerian leaders are adequately secured once in foreign land. IPOB, had intellectuals been involved, would know they need people like Ekweremadu more than Ekweremadu needs them. They don't know that before there will be any form of referendum there's going to first be a constitutional amendment. They don't know that if Nigeria will split, it must not be through war. They don't want to consider the damages of war, the loss of property and lives. They don't care about their brothers who have investment in other parts of the country who will lose everything on the eventuality of civil war. And if IPOB doesn't want war what's they strategy for seceding? Why is it IPOB doesn't believe in dialogue and intellectual engagement? On social media they are uncouth, in real life they are violent. Is this a pointer that the utopian Biafra being promised will be led by lily-livered violent men that do not entertain dissenting views? There's a problem somewhere. IPOB has become a cancer to our people because they have been hijacked by enemies of Ndigbo, opponents of Igbo presidency, thwarters of Igbo progress and supporters of Igbo marginalization and subjugation. These people pay Nnamdi Kanu millions with express request to disgrace our leaders and eliminate them from national relevance. And you know something about cancer? Once a part of the body develops cancer that part must be cut off. Ugonna Utulor's uncle fought in the Biafran war. |
Sanusi-Chidoka Joint Ticket: Antidote to Tinubu, Panacea to Poor Governance By Ugonna Utulor. The wheels have started turning again. The key players have started meeting in secret places. Meetings in high places. Meetings by power brokers. To the nonobservant 2023 is still faraway but to the political strategist, 2023 is nearer than tomorrow. It's not to be unexpected that 2023 will throw surprises nor should it be believed that 2023 will be business as usual. In circulation already are campaign memorabilia bearing the name and insignias of the Jagaban of Borgu, the Lion of Bourdillion, the Controller, Mover, Shaker, all-in-all of Eko and the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu. While it must be noted that Tinubu has come out, or his surrogates have come out, to deny his connection to these campaign memorabilia, ubiquitous posters and billboards, it must be known that a smoke can never be seen where there's no fire. Indeed, the handwriting has been on the walls for so long. Bola Ahmed Tinubu or BAT has always wanted to be president. Otherwise, why would he seek in both 2011 and 2015 to be Vice Presidential candidate to northern presidential candidates of the ACN in 2011 and APC in 2015 if not in hope that they will win and he, in eight years' time, could become president? Its a smart calculation, genius even and should be seen in the context of the unwritten law of north-south power federal power sharing cum power rotation. In seeking to be Vice President in those elections Bola Ahmed Tinubu was in effect positioning himself for president. His 2015 ambition to be Vice President was most spectacular. Once he was certain the ACN-CPC-ANPP-APGA alliance would stick, he wasted no time making moves to deputize Muhammadu Buhari who from the onset was destined to bear the APCs flag or broom if you like. It was rumoured that it was on the premise that he would deputize Buhari that he had agreed to work with Buhari and deliver all of ACNs primary votes to the CPC leader. This rumour seems to not have been unfounded as Tinubus Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) did not field any candidate in APCs presidential primary of December 10, 2014 that produced General Muhammadu Buhari as presidential candidate. But Tinubus ambition to be Vice President in 2015 was to be scuttled by the decamping elements from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). These were men who foresaw the future and wished to rescue Nigeria from an impending danger. Senator Bukola Saraki, Governors Magatakarda Wamakko of Sokoto and Abdul'aziz Yari of Zamfara state never let their eyelids close until they were certain Tinubu wouldn't be vice president. While they told Nigerians and about just anyone that wanted to hear it, that their opposition to Tinubu was to ensure that a Muslim-Muslim ticket was avoided in the interest of national unity, the more plausible reason is that they themselves had political ambitions, big ambitions, and didn't wish to have a too powerful Tinubu as an opponent in 2023. These men may have succeeded in stymieing Tinubu's ambition in 2015 but as it stands today none of them is in a positions to scuttle his ambition in 2023. This shouldn't catch anyone unaware. For, it was Tinubu himself, who like a lion wounded in battle and angry for revenge, spent his last kobo to diminish his antagonists. In 2015, Saraki began perceiving the malodorous stink of what is to come. Opposition to his Senate presidency ambition, persecutions at the hands of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), negative press coverage from the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway media houses and several other happenstances that portended danger kept knocking at his door, blown by a South-west trade wind that had Jagaban written all over it. But while Senator Bukola Saraki was able to scale through these trials and temptations, the straw that broke the camel's back was total, almost fatal defeat of Bukola Saraki in the 2019 election in which Saraki lost his seat and all his candidates lost in a state that has been under the political control of the Saraki dynasty since 1979. Tinubu had marshalled resources in trillions and spent more in propaganda to make sure that Saraki was destroyed. To add salt to injury, Tinubu even had to use Saraki's sister, Gbemisola Saraki, as an enemy from within, one that soon proved to be deadlier than any other. That defeat is a humiliation that Saraki may never recover from. And while he may try to, his opponents even in the PDP, will keep reminding him of it and his allies may never even take him seriously again. A political featherweight is at best a liability and Ahmed Tinubu had succeeded in reducing Abubakar Bukola Saraki to a political featherweight. Of the other key players that denied Tinubu the Vice Presidency in 2015, one, Magatakarda Wamakko, has been annihilated into political oblivion without Tinubu in the picture. The other, Abdul'aziz Yari of Zamfara imploded Zamfara APC and with it his political career. Either by design or accident those who opposed Tinubu in 2015 have now been destroyed, leaving Tinubu with no real political opponent. Which poses the question: who will save Nigeria from Tinubu in 2023? For it is true that Tinubu certainly knows how to handle power, yet he is not blessed in management of the people's resources. This means that if a Tinubu becomes president in 2023, Nigeria could be sold in wholesale and the proceeds would end up in an underground bunker in his Burdullion residence. It's without question that Tinubu, as national leader and with unfettered access to the partys register, is in firm control of the APC and since the APC is now postured to zone the presidency to the south region of Nigeria, a Tinubu presidency is very likely. We may even have a worst case scenario in which we are going to have two presidents. One, an official president in the person of current Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and an unofficial yet more powerful President Bola Tinubu. Either way, without a stronger opposition, a president Tinubu, like winter, is coming. And that is why I have had to sit down. To think. As a young man who is concerned about Nigeria, informed enough on both our past and our present I can predict the future. Tinubu will be a disaster for Nigeria but who will stop him? I sought all over the country. And over and over again just one name kept ringing a bell in my ears. One name backed up by another. Two names then, singing aloud in my head. I leapt up in joy, a ray of hope spreading across the country from North to South and then East to West; from Lagos to Lafia and then Abuja to Aba. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Emir of Kano and Osita Chidoka, former Aviation Minister and UPP gubernatorial candidate in the Anambra State election of 2017. Tested and trusted, intelligent, detribalized, accomplished and well loved, the duo represents the Nigeria that we have always wished for. It was Sanusi, as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, that reformed the Nigeria banking sector and laid the foundation for the strong banks we have today. He championed causes, spoke truth to power, sacrificed his career to save Nigeria and stabilized our economy with robust monetary policies. He offered help to SMEs, giving loans and facilitating the injection of much needed forex that kept the economy strong. Osita Chidoka needs no introduction. Isn't it a tragedy that the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) of today cannot match up what Chidoka was able to do with that commission? He instilled discipline, diligence, dedication to duty and transparency. At the time, secondary school students occasionally went on tours to FRSC offices, asking questions, learning and looking up to life heroes molded in the image of Chidoka and his workaholic road safety officials. And as Minister of Aviation, his records are in public domain, exceptional, unmatched, exemplary. In two years, Osita Chidoka will emerge as the biggest political player in the South East. I can assure you, without mincing words, that Chidoka is the next governor of Anambra state. If there's therefore going to be a North-East alliance, credible candidates with enough political clouts will be chosen from both regions in a joint ticket that will re-echo the Torfa-Ugo ticket of 1993. Remember, Chief Sylvester Ugo was the running mate of Alhaji Bashir Torfa in the National Republican Convention (NRC) joint ticket of 1993. Do not sleep on it, intrigues and underground works have started. I identified these individuals and hope that eminent Nigerians will prevail upon them to contest in 2023. The people of Kano should be pleaded with to loan Nigeria their Emir and the good people of Anambra state will, in love for our country, allow their great son to join the revered Emir. Nigerians should plead with these men and ask them to jump into the next available bus and embark on this journey whose last bus stop is national rescue mission. Because if they do, they will be killing two birds with one stone: they will cure Nigeria of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) and they will heal Nigeria of poor governance. ©Ugonna Utulor is a Public Affair Researcher.

No. This is my only account. I know Barron2094 but I don't know Chinwude. Meanwhile since you want to know. Utulor is Uto - ulo. Do you know what is called Olule Udaume or assimilation in English? It is a situation in which a verb takes up the place of another verb nearest to it and replaces it. That yielded Utulo. Now, when the white people came, they preferred to add "r" to most names ending with "o". So Okafo became Okafor. Nwafo became Nwafor and so on. Meanwhile Igariwey is an Afikpo name which means "Where did you go". Igbo is not uniform. In Owerri the dialect is different from what is obtained in Aba, Nnewi or Enugu. It takes a level of backwardness to believe one Igbo is greater than the other. You are myopic, ignorant and I can assure you, you're unsuccessful. This is because successful people do not reason like you. MelesZenawi: |
I hope that Chinwude and Barron2094 come up to speak for themselves. Ugonna Utulor is reliably from Ebonyi State and you are not more Igbo than him, you piece of poo. An Ebonyian is currently the chairman of South East Governors forum. Another Ebonyian, Idu Igariwey, is a former president of Ohaneze Ndigbo. An Ebonyian is the current Chairman of south east PDP. These Ebonyians, like Ugonna Utulor, are very qualified to speak for the Igbo. If you do not accept that then feel free to hug the nearest transformer. [s] MelesZenawi:[/s] |
You need to shut up for once. Think, think properly, then talk. [s] MelesZenawi:[/s] |
To be honest, Ugonna Utulor doesn't give a hoot about the comments of the two people above. While he's open to dialogue, he clearly believes that people who do not read articles before rushing to comment are the most ignorant there is. It's on that basis, being that the two guys above do not understand his article, that he wishes not to dignify their rants with a direct response. |

Writer Ugonna Utulor, has declared that all Nigerians are victims of a failed state. In an essay he titled "This is who we are" he wrote how different Nigerians committed different atrocities simply because they are left with no better choice, simply because they are victims of a nation, which in Mr Ugonna's opinion has failed. Below is the essay in full. This is Who We Are As written by Ugonna Utulor We are all victims. The policeman comes standing on the road, under the scorching sun. He's demanding bribe. N50 here, N100 here. If it is not that his salary is not enough, it is that Oga at the top wants it so. So he takes the bribe. He does terrible things. He watches as a pregnant woman is being slabbed by a terrible politician. He carries a stick against thieves shooting with guns. He dies on duty, protecting Oga. He was shot. Died at the stroke of a bullet. His family is grieving with no consolation. So his colleagues are bitter. At this country and it's people. They know their fate, so they damn the consequences and do whatever they like. He's a victim, like us of a failed state. We are all victims. She's done all she could yet she can't still meet her needs. Hardwork, it seems, no longer pays. So she chooses the easier route. It requires no external equipments. She's a victim. Just like him. He claims to take back from the whites what their ancestors took from his ancestors. He makes a truck load of money. And buys a Benz. And buys a Rolex, Gucci, Prada and champagne. He's a rich fool today, a pauper surfing the internet tomorrow, on the hunt once again, on and on ad infinitum. He hits jackpot again but investment is not in his vocabulary. He doesn't care that he's giving a bad name to his brother. He's denying his brother visa, and better life. He doesn't care that for his crimes, his innocent brother has been tagged a thief, guilty without trial. Convicted by mere association with a delinquent brother that loves the internet. He too is a victim, like us, of a failed state. We are all victims. The very smart guy who chooses politics for a career. He's seen it all. He's watched. He understands the dynamics of the game play. And he understands that there's nothing the politicians have that he doesn't. So he bows his way up. He plays boy boy for a while and soon becomes the boss himself. He becomes a philanthropist and wins elections, jackpots, an easy access to unfathomable wealth. So he remains a philanthropist. He steals one million but gives the people one naira. But he's a philanthropist. A man of the people. He understands the game. He cannot lose elections. He can do no wrong. He too is a victim, like us, of a failed state. So who are we? We are the very righteous ones on the streets. We see it all. We suffer it all. We want to get in but the door is locked against us. Nothing works in our favour. So we whine and whine. We cry and wail. We dominate social media. Remember it is the new opium of the masses. We hate the rich, we hate the poor, we even hate ourselves. For us, suicide is an option. For us, hope is deception. We are the masses. The foot soldiers of the ruling class. We are here today, we may be there tomorrow. We are victims. Victims of a failed state. But let's not make mistakes. Though it be true that we're victims, it's our duty to break this ungodly cycle of victimization. Previous generations have failed but let's not carryover this failure to future generations. Value reorientation, therefore, and a firm decision to change the narrative must take root, first in individuals, onto families, towns and the nation at large. See, there's hope for the future. We are hope! |
Lalasticlala take a look at this. |
I have heard so much about the man called Senator Onwe. Great guy. Ebonyi will surely miss him. |
