GboyegaD: What business is he into and why is he keeping the money in the mom's account? He claims he is business man and the money is being sent to her to buy and build real estate for him, he has been in Brazil for a decade ...the thing of note here is that the Brazilian authorities havent found him wanting and say they can pin him to any crime but yet our govt is bent on looting the money ..if Nigeria doesn't want the money then they should send it back to Brazil...Can you see Americans always prove the crime before siezing any money , even in the case of Allen Onyeama can't you see their extensive evidence warranting forfeiture? |

LegalOpinion: Listen to yourself. Her son send "millions" for her to invest and remain as a primary school teacher? BTW you also forgot to tell us what the multi-millionaire son does "somewhere in South America". It's left for govt to prove it's the proceed of crime , the Brazilian govt didn't report that any money is missing in their country neither did and other law enforcement . If the govt is sincere why can't they return the money back to Brazil , why are they keeping bit for themselves to loot? By investment I mean building houses and some distribution businesses |

The bank officials say it is a proceed of fraud and they reported to efcc. But the problem here is the Nigerian govt can't prove till date it's a proceed of fraud and neither has the Brazilian govt said same |

RoyalBoutique: It's very bad.
If only the woman can defend the source of the money, then the government can't do anything.
I just pray she can. The case has been on for a while , they want the son to come to Nigeria and defend the source and the chap said he is not ready to leave his business there yet..I would expect the Nigerian govt to liase with the Brazilian authorities to see if they have case against the guy but if they don't then they govt should give them their money abeg |

I've read the article and I didn't see who she scammed or how she got the money. Don't mind the govt they keep hiding the backstory to make it look like the woman is a thief ...she has son that has been in South America for a decade and he is the one that's sends her the money to invest for her here in Nigeria |
Politics › Re: Primary School Teacher, Others Forfeit ₦110.4 Million To FG by SarkinYarki: 6:57pm On Jan 13, 2022 |
This case is just a clear case of Nigerian govt theft , till date the Nigerian govt has not been able to prove that this fund is a proceed of any crime anywhere but are hell bent of using an unjust forfeiture to steal it ...You can see the make sure you don't have a clear back story of this matter ..For those who don't this woman ( teacher) has a son somewhere in South America that keeps remitting millions of Naira into her account to help him invest here in Nigeria , as per her lowly status the bank officials and Nigerian govt hatched plan to call the money suspicious and sieze it ..Till date there is no proof her son is into crime in South America , till date no south American govt has said there was crime in their country..it's a shame how we do so much to stop poor families from breaking through in this country |

SmartPolician: Nobody is taking about Buhari here because we all know that he's utterly useless. My argument is that Jonathan is a weak man and poor administrator. Nigeria needs a good man with big dreams and has the guts to pursue them. I don't see Jonathan doing that.
My best presidential candidates: 1. Peter Obi 2. Donald Duke 3. Rotimi Amaechi 4. Yemi Osinbajo 5. Dave Umahi
Yemi Osinbajo is a very smart and intelligent man, but he appears as another weakling. Nigeria doesn't need weaklings. Yemi Osinbanjo archilles heel is Tinubu..He will always be weak as long as Tinubu is around |
Politics › Re: If Y'all Vote For Any Of This People, I Leaving To Benin Republic Or Rwanda by SarkinYarki: 4:54pm On Jan 13, 2022 |
SmartPolician: Things were cheap because Jonathan had a lot of dollars to throw around. Crude oil was selling at over $100 per barren and he forgot to diversify the economy, thinking that Nigeria was a rich country and that the price of crude oil would always go high. Today, the price has plummeted and the population of the country has skyrocketed, thereby putting the government in a difficult position.
IMO, what Nigeria needs is a man who has some guts to fight institutionalized corruption and Jonathan cannot do it. If the government will have the guts to go after people and agencies that milk this country dry, it will save her a lot of money. She also needs to go after big companies that don't pay taxes or reduce their taxes. Slash the cost of governance and stop the legislature from executing constituency projects. Those are short-term plans of revenue generation, but the long-term plans should be a textbook. We cannot continue to borrow from China. You people need to stop spreading this myth about 100 dollar crude highs ..they rarely happen , how many times die crude get to 100 dollars highs under Jonathan and how many days did it last that y'all seem to make it seem like he was always selling crude at 100 dollars , the cumulative average between crude oil prices between Jonathan and Buhari are very marginal and shouldnt cause the kind of economic slide we have seen under Buhari and besides Buhari has spent 55 trillion in 7 years as against the cumulative spend of 45 trillion in the entire 16 years of PDP..Accept it Buhari is just very incompetent and crude price is not the problem ...see below cumulative average of crude prices for some years and tell me where you see an average of 100 dollar barrel

backbencher: Meanwhile our fiscal breakeven oil pricehas been above $ 133 per barrel
50 dollars is good enough for countries like Kuwait that have small population. It's bad for countries like Nigeria that have large population.
And anyway our dependence on oil is a disaster Nigerias road out of poverty is through gas and petrochemical bases but our short sighted leaders never get it ..Selling crude oil is like selling cocoa pods or tea leaves and a very expensive to run country like Nigeria can never breakthrough from that .Nigeria should strive to be the top petrochemical base producer in Africa and the middle belt |

dat9jaguy: To the discerning mind what you wrote up there is gibberish. The greatest opposition from social media against this government is from Twitter. It makes sense for them to keep the ban to minimize noise during this electioneering period. As for things you wrote up there, twitter is not the only social media site. Nigerian twitter never closed , I never noticed anyone missing except banks and govt officials and besides VPN even made it easy for us to trend issued internationally |
