You claim Afdb is working because of the accountability it has been subjected to right from time. Is it not the same ethics committee that's responsible for maintaining that accountability that the US are trying to usurp because its verdict do not favour them.

The Governance structure of AfDB does not have a place for independent probe, one will expect that such a reputable organizations will have the integrity to self correct itself after all it's internal ethics committee was not composed of Africans only and had a Japanese as its head.

The US should simply learn to follow rules it signed up to, it has become customary for them to sign a document and go against it the moment it does not suit their interest, they signed the nuclear accord with Iran they violated it a d pulled out while still insisting Iran abides by its terms. They agreed to every security council resolutions dating as far back as the 60s on Israel and Palestine conflict notably amongst the one that rejects acquiring territory through armed conflict and forced displacement yet they are literally egging the Israelis on to violate all Security Council Resolutions. No sensible group of people should allow that sort of self serving narrow minded bigotry to guide any discussion about accountability and transparency, 2 qualities lacking in the current US administration.

The AFDB is the only working world class organization the Africa has today and the reason is simple there has been accountability .. If we allow African run that place like they run their local Govts without any accountability that place would have been dead since the 80s..
