PoliticsNigerians’ Evacuation Delayed As Authorities Withhold Landing Permit From Air Pe by sarrki(op): 2:15pm On Sep 17, 2019
The evacuation of the second batch of Nigerians from South Africa, owing to ongoing xenophobic attacks, suffered an interruption on Tuesday following the delay in granting landing permit to Air Peace.

The airline had volunteered to evacuate Nigerians willing to return home following the recent violence against foreigners in the southern African country.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the airline, in collaboration with the Federal Government had, on September 11, evacuated the first batch of 187 Nigerians from South Africa.

There was a plan for the airline to evacuate another batch of 320 Nigerians who had indicated interest to return home, with the flight expected to arrive in Lagos at 7.00p.m on Tuesday.

However, Mr Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace, told newsmen in Lagos that the airline’s B777 aircraft deployed for the operation was still on standby at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.

According to him, the aircraft is supposed to have departed Lagos at 1.00 am, but was denied landing permit by the South African authorities.

“We did not take off at 1:00am as scheduled because South African authorities are yet to give us landing permit.

“We are hopeful that they will give us the permit. Our crew waited till 3:00 am, but when the permit did not come, they went back to the hotel.

“Once we get the permit we will set off to South Africa. We don’t want to speculate but we are hopeful they will give the permit,”Onyema said.

NAN reports that the South African authorities had on Sept. 11 also prevented some Nigerians from leaving the country, by insisting on a fresh profiling exercise in spite of the one earlier conducted by the Nigerian High Commission.

The situation led to several hours of delay before 187 of the more than 300 Nigerians were successfully evacuated

A FARCICAL, PRIMITIVE AND NONSENSICAL RULING

If anyone is surprised by yesterday's farcical and primitive ruling in the Atiku /Buhari election case then they still don't understand the nature of the beast we are fighting and the gravity of the situation we are in.

Sadly the same thing will happen at the Supreme Court. I saw all this coming long and I said and wrote it. The Buhari Government and the ruling APC did not just rig the election, they rigged the courts too!

Today the dark forces of the deep state control ALL three arms of Government, namely the Executive, the Judiciary and the Legislature.

That is how bad it is and that is what you get when you live in a zoo!

They have turned Nigeria into a bananna republic where the law of the jungle prevails and where one man, who is seized of and filled with a singularly demonic spirit, controls the the lives of over 200 million people and bends the fortunes of the entire nation according to his whims and caprices! This is tyranny in its purest and rawest form.

They have everything they want, they control the entire pervasive system, they are firmly entrenched and they believe that they have figured out how they will stay in power indefinately.

Like the makers and owners of the ill-fated and infamous ship the Titanic they believe and boast that they are indestructable and that not even God can stop or sink them.

Ans their failure to consider the God factor in their wicked endeavours and devlish enterprise is their greatness flaw and weakness. It is a grave error which will result in their undoing.

Like the Titanic, they will hit an iceberg and they will sink. Their end will be sudden and tragic and they will be a reference point of the utter folly of all those who believe that they are greater and more powerful than the Lord their maker.

Man propses and God disposes. Permit me to assure you that the God of Job and Jonah is still alive and in the fullness of time He will shock them. He will do this not for Atiku's sake but for the glory of His holy name.

The next few months will be very interesting and the salvation of our nation, despite all we see and hear, is at hand. Just continue to pray, have faith in God and be patient: it is His fight and not ours.

He is awesome in battle and He never fails. He has never forsaken His own and He has never lost a war! I assure you that the Egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more.

Even as Sennacherub, with all his boasting and in all his earthly power and glory, was struck down by his own sons in the temple of his strange god, so it shall be for our oppressors and the tyrants that hold sway in our land.

No justice, no peace!

Ipobs are senseless set of people

From Olajide Abiola

I am eternally grateful to the country for the opportunity to serve in the Nigerian Army. I was in the Army when I earned my degree in Computer Science. Throughout my years in the University, I earned my full pay in the military. This was the case with thousands of us. Some even got additional scholarships from the Army along with their full salaries. I learnt a lot in the military. I cannot be ungrateful to a nation as Nigeria. I can't.

I know so many people. And I mean so many people who have benefitted and who still benefit from FG's scholarship through TETFund, who are ungrateful Nigerians. They tear down this country at every given opportunity. I mean, these are people who got scholarships in the millions. N5m, N10m, N15m in full scholarships. They also continued to draw their salaries along with robust scholarship packages.

You also have entrepreneurs who have raised millions of dollars for their companies working to solve one ot two problems in the country. I do tell people that if the problem they claim to be trying to solve did not exist or had been solved by government, they would not have any company in the first place to create a solution or value that will attract funding.

Those who have benefitted a lot from Nigeria are some of the loudest ingrates. Including many of those who enjoyed heavily susbsidized tertiary education across Federal and State institutions. You do not find the illiterates tear down Nigeria like those who government subsidized their education.

PoliticsWe Won’t Call Witnesses Because Atiku’s Witnesses Supported Our Case, Inec’s Law by sarrki(op): 2:39pm On Jul 29, 2019
The Independent National Electoral Commission said on Monday that it would not call any witness to defend its case in respect of the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Atiku and his party are by their petition challenging the outcome of February 23, 2019 presidential election which INEC declared was won by President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Congress.

The petitioners had rested their case with 62 witnesses on July 19 after which the five-man tribunal led by Justice Mohammed Garba adjourned further proceedings till Monday for INEC to open its defence.

But when called upon by the tribunal to open his case on Monday, INEC’s lawyer, Yunus Usman (SAN), said it would not be necessary on the grounds that the evidence extracted from the petitioners’ witnesses during cross-examination was in support of the commission’s case.

He said, “We have painstakingly reviewed the evidence of petitioners’ witnesses.

“We have also painstakingly studied the petitioners’ evidence under cross-examination, which supports our defence and our denial in consonance with our pleadings.

“My lords, we do not see the need to waste your lordship’s precious time by repeating what their witnesses have repeated under cross-examination.

“In that circumstance, we will not call any witness to help them prove their case.

“We, therefore, rely on the evidence of their witness under cross-examination.”

Responding, Buhari’s lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), requested to be allowed to open his client’s case at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

APC’s lawyer, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), said his decision on whether or not to call witnesses would depend on the case to be presented by Buhari’s legal team.

On his part, the petitioners’ lawyer, Dr. Livy Uzoukwu (SAN), thanked INEC’s legal team for not calling witnesses.

“I profusely thank my brother and friend for deciding not to call any witness,” he said.
