NORTH, YOU BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES

On Monday, I shared with us that NYSC had posted my 2nd daughter to Kebbi State to serve her fatherland.

In the said post, I expressed my concern over the distance and never the location or her security - though you, my friends (especially those of the Northern extraction) assured me of her safety.

But someone went a step further. This friend came inbox and told me what amazed me.

Here's what he said,

"If your daughter is coming by road, ask her to come to Sokoto, I work with Usumanu Danfodio University Sokoto, UDUS. I and my family will drive her to her camp in Kebbi State - it's about 200km"!

Can you believe that!

This same great soul had once asked for my phone number and sent me airtime. He said it was to "... appreciate my faithfulness".

Cut a long story short, Muhammad Jibo and his wife drove about 200km to Kebbi, spent 7 solid hrs on the road, to take my daughter to the camp - this is aside the hours they spent in the sun waiting for my daughter's bus to arrive Sokoto!

And I ask, WHAT MANNER OF LOVE IS THIS?

ARE THESE YOUR EVERYDAY KIND OF PEOPLE?

WHAT DRIVES THIS SELFLESS AND SACRIFICIAL LOVE FOR A MAN YOU HAVE NEVER SET EYES ON?

As I asked myself these questions, tears came down my eyes - even now, it is happening again!

Muhammad Jibo, wherever you go, this love that you've shown me and mine will follow you and yours!

That's all I can say..."

Brazilian experts have used digital imaging to reveal the face of an Egyptian man who lived 35,000 years ago.
Moacir Elias Santos, an archaeologist and Cícero Moraes, a 3D designer used the skeletal remains of a man found at an archaeological site in Egypt to recreate a digital image.
The image presents a detailed facial approximation of the skull of Nazlet Khater 2, the 35,000-year-old fossil that was discovered in 1980 in Egypt's Nile Valley.

Anthropological analysis later identified the skeletal remains as being of a man of African ancestry, aged between 17 to 29 years old at the time of his death. The analysis suggests he stood over five feet and three inches approximately.
The team used the process of facial approximation, which helps archaeologists recreate the facial features of a deceased person using skeletal remains.

"A few years ago, we were already working on a series of approximations related to human evolution, with the best-known fossil replicas," Moacir Santos, archaeologist at the Ciro Flamarion Cardoso Archaeology Museum in Ponta Grossa, Brazil told CNN. "The videos were converted into photos and were used for the elaboration of the photogrammetry of the skull, which shaped the study."
Photogrammetry is the process of extracting 3D information from photographs, which is what Santos and Moraes did after viewing the man's skeletal remains at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo.

This process has been employed by experts to determine how humans have evolved over centuries.
In February researchers unveiled a 3D construction of an ancient Nabataean woman based on remains that were discovered in 2015 in a 2,000-year-old tomb in Hegra, an archaeological site in Saudi Arabia.
"Using the skulls of living people in addition to work carried out in the forensic field... the probability that the image resembles what NK2 looked like is significantly high," Moraes, the designer, told CNN.

Queen Ola Badirat, the youngest wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyeye has reacted after being accused of secretly dating All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, MC Oluomo and fuji singer, King Wasiu Ayinde Mashal, popularly known as Kwam1.



A controversial Instagram blogger had alleged Queen Ola is also among female Nollywood stars secretly dating MC Oluomo.





This is as the blogger also claimed that the late Alaafin’s wife was arrested and detained by the Department of State Service (DSS) in December.



Responding to the post, Badirat said her arrest by DSS is not a secret, stating she had also told some people about the incident.



Narrating what transpired, the queen said she was unaware that the late monarch had put a restriction on her international passport before his demise which led to her arrest while travelling to Umrah, and was detained in DSS custody for 2 days.



The queen noted that she reached out to a few people but they couldn’t do anything, the reason she solicited the help of MC Oluomo and she would forever be indebted to him.



She also debunked the claims that she was in a relationship with Kwam1 before leaving the palace in 2020.



In her words: “this is not a secret because I personally told people about it. Long story short, my baby daddy put restrictions on my international passport before he died and I didn’t know. I was traveling for Umrah last year in December and I was detained by DSS for 2days.



“The instruction he gave them was to detain me and transferred me to Abuja that I ran away with the kids my own kids o. My phones and everything were seized and it was only my sister who knows where I was because we are both on board. She called everybody she could to help but they couldn’t do anything except Oluomo who came to my aid because my mum cried to Igwe and I was set free.



“So what do you all want me to do? Turn him to my enemy because y’all don’t like him? If that is what y’all do, I won’t do that. I will forever be indebted to him. I didn’t see anyone and me not coming here to call anybody out doesn’t me I should accept anything thrown at me. I couldn’t eat or bathe for 2 days.



“It was d morning of the 3rd day I was set free. Just because I didn’t come here to say everything that happened to me after I left the palace like others doesn’t mean u all should judge me. This same man freezes my account when I left that me and d kids couldn’t feed on our own until I begged people for money. I was locked up in the palace for weeks before I escaped through jumping the fence. They lied I was dating K1, I kept quiet a lot of lies. I have hold a lot of pains and me been an introvert doesn’t mean I should let everything slide.”
