My dear, na only DAAD contacted me, no email from PTDF. Just watching in 5D. Although is only when the application status changes from 'Application submitted' to ]'Selected' that one can really jubilate

FINAL REPORT ON PTDF OVERSEAS 2018/2019 SCHOLARSHIP

PTDF has concluded the overseas interview, candidates who were shortlisted in all categories have four chances; France, China, Germany and the UK. Whether you have received email or not from PTDF, u all still have equal chances to be selected.

The first category; France/China/Germany results are ready.But to avoid one candidate winning both categories, the names have not been published yet. All things being equal, winners in all countries will be published probably around June after the UK selection process which is currently being scrutinized.

This year will have the highest ever number of Oversea Scholarship winners thanks to the Strategic Partners who are offering a tuition-free scholarship. [/b]Selection is based on the quota system which is the government constitution. Hence, you are competing with the candidate from your states and not the general populace. [b]So don't play the tribal card if u are not selected as tribalism as nothing to do with it. Your slot can only be awarded to your fellow state kinsmen. In addition, more slots of winners are given to Nigeria oil-producing states which is understandable.

For all winners in all categories, you will be required to sign a bond which signifies that you must come back to Nigeria after your studies. But PTDF might allow you to stay for a fixed period for work experience in your field after their approval as before work visa is granted, ur sponsor will be contacted. Overall, u will need to plan well and focus on your study and life after studies. U are also allowed to defer your scholarship within one year hence if working u can apply for ''study leave without pay'' for your job to be secured when u come back. For those who are not working yet, the degree will give u more opportunity for job not only in Nigeria but any where in the world. It will give u more chance of scholarship for the advancement of studies or for migration purpose if you don't get jobs when u come back as jobs are hard to come by.

You might be tempted when u are abroad to do abnormal things to feel among. But remember Nigeria especially your family or friends who are struggling. Better to help Nigerians rather than outsiders. Also, save money, so u can plan well and be in control in whatever choice when u come back to Nigeria for the advancement of your career. Congrats in advance to the overseas winners which will definitely be among nairalanders here as it is always. For those who wish to study in Nigeria (have applied for admission) or are currently studying in Nigeria, PTDF did not forget you. Local application will be out in June.

Just so you know the people who got the mail for Germany are academically sound with top notch credentials. Your methodology is wrong. I get my info from PTDF ,not from nairaland. Thank you.

I don't expect you to quote anybody right nor wrong, because you're not among the selection committee! Many of those who got PTDF Germany email attended the UK interviews. Even your claimed informant might not be too sure of the info he/she has been feeding you. It is only time will tell, do not draw unreasonable conclusion yet!

You already been given solution, why the question again? Last month, some had similar issue. Go and give your reasons, and you can be rescheduled for another day if it won't be possible for them to interview you on that Monday. Hope the answer helps!

There is no doubt that those sent mail recently for DAAD update are not successful. The point is this, some earlier got the mail from DAAD before now for the update with reference to same PTDF Application.

From my findings so far, these guys that got the earlier mail have National or Int'l awards and might have done well during the interview. Does it not imply that PTDF earlier nominated them before now? If they responded to that mail and did the needful, how will sending another mail for update be necesaary again? There are so many things that needed to be cleared!

Our assumptions won't be 100% correct! Anyways, the list will saved us from all these assumptions very soon.

I think we’re really helping ourselves here! Having contacted PTDF Scholarship Help Desk: 08105…. On the website, he proved some of our assertions here are actually wrong.

He stated that the people sent mail today for DAAD Update are those who made Germany as one of their choices and who either didn’t complete their application on DAAD portal or have a missing document to update.

Therefore in case you initially registered but got the mail, you’ve something to do on that portal, but if you didn’t get the mail and Germany is one of your choices, then you completed the required registration. This statement is according to info from PTDF

Another person can try contacting them also to be sure.

Many got this mail but didn't today's mail. Nobody can really conclude for now!

It shouldn't call for panic. Some guys who registered with DAAD got mail few days after the interview to update their info on DAAD portal based on missing or certain certificate. But I think those getting the mail now from PTDF might be successful but didn't fill the required form initially. German Language is usually once in a week even while studying for DAAD sponsored students. Going for the language is really not necessary for now as all selected courses are taught in English. The main reason for contacting is for admission as most German school admission will soon come to an end.

For China and France, I think you guys should just relax. Everything, na turn by turn. Also, I forsee many France receiving the mail because France has majority of the applications due to difficulty or incomplete info on DAAD Application from the beginning. So, if by any chance you selected Germany be it 3rd choice, you may likely get the mail.

I had no time applying for the UK stuff, rather applied for GFC and was interviewed but why am I still seeing select centre for interview?

Hello everyone, please my PTDF scholarship application keeps on hanging at LGA. I have not been able to get passed this part of the application. I have tried applying with both my laptop and phone but the system has refused to upload LGAs for Delta State. Is there anyway to fix this?

Use strong network or better still, move to another area you can get strong signal. It happened to me inittially.

simply go to PTDF website and login, click application, edit application, use your mouse and keep clicking previous/back till you get the first page where you will re-select your choice of course.

DAAD application closes by Jan 31, 2018 and many don't have their:

1. Transcript to upload on the website
2.Reference letter, at least one from your lecturer

That z the more reason to forget about Germany and work more on others because they don't require the above for now.
My advice though!

If I were in the shoe of those who did not make German University as their first choice, I will simply forget DAAD application and Germany entirely. My advice though!

The steps I've followed so far.
After logging in:
1. Click on Personal Funding that I have labelled "1" in the attachment.
2. Click on Application labelled "2".
3. Click on the little box by the side of the funding program that I have circled and labelled "3". A drop down of all programs will come up. Scroll down to "N". The program you're looking for is "Nigerian-German Postgraduate Training Programme Master, 2018" (There are two similar programs there, one is for masters, the other is for Phd). Hover your mouse cursor over each programme to know which it is. Select the one that applies to you.
4. Scroll down to the place labelled "4". There are two options, Doctoral Candidate and Graduate. Select the one that applies to you.
5. I believe the next step is to click continue but I paused to make this post.

I'll keep you updated as to how it goes
