we have been seriously working on the budget things. I personally met with the president and gingered him into action in resolving the budget and he has no option than to comply. This has resulted to a committee set up, which will definitely get the budget ready by tomorrow. They are presently working 24/7 and the president maybe signing this next week. That was the reason of my absence for sometime now. Hope this explanation will pass to your bone marrow!!!

The details of the budget was sent to the President yesterday and he hopes to sign it before travelling to China on Sunday so the ministers will have to get down to work and review the document as soon as possible before the President departs.

Good morning guys. I don run una errand... and it's same old story. "We're still waiting to access funding to facilitate the training but if you've been called to send your details, you have nothing to worry about. The fund is fully committed to actualising it's set goal of local capacity building through this training that we had to suspend a lot of other things, but there's very little we can do if the finances have not been made available to us because the budget for this is quite huge"... so I told her laser have commenced training already for other candidates which is likely to mean ours will have to wait until after six months even if funds become available. She said as soon as you get the green light (which i suppose means the mails or call/sms) everything about the training will be sorted without any delays, enough time has been wasted.
Finally I asked. Ma the last time I placed a call to one of your staff she said our details were supposed to be forwarded to the training institute she said are you a geologist or a journalist? I said geologist ma she said all I can tell you is names of successful candidates have been approved by the committee put in place and as soon as funds are released we'll publish online and maybe print media, then training will commence Thank you"..... that's all and yes I crammed the conversation...

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) wishes to inform all candidates who applied for the 2016/2017 Local Scholarship Scheme (LSS) PhD Programme that the list of shortlisted candidates for interview has been posted on the Fund’s website.

2016/17 PhD LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP INTERVIEW

The interview is scheduled to hold from Monday April 18 to Friday April 22, 2016. The time and venue for the interview will be sent via email and SMS to shortlisted candidates.

Laser training first batch started Jan, second batch by July. This was a decision reached by the management to be having two batches in year against one batch in previous years.

It is quite simple to understand according to Charleslifted that the training depends on the budget which has not been signed by the president. The national assembly had requested for two weeks to provide the details of the budget since the president refused to sign the summary which on his own quite improper. If it should take two weeks, that will approximately be end of this month April, after which it will take another one month for each sector to get fund for work.

Then from the look of things, ptdf may decide to forward the list by June while training starts July. I just pray we join the next batch otherwise next year. However, I prayed for this cup(our expectations) to pass away and let us start as soon as possible.

Training shifted to July, while list of successful candidates will be out by June. Just forget about this unserious people trying to frustrate others life and focus on what you re doing. Tomorrow is another day. Laser training first batch commenced in Jan, 2016; second batch to start by July.
