@Greenback.
Do you actually have evidence that the duo could not access PMB and his economic team to make suggestions to them? This is my point of emphasis.

both of u are as dumb as poo! Both soludo & d emir didnt go to press to criticize pmb's economic policies, they were invited to give a lecture at an event & they gave their opinions on Nigeria's economic situation. Am very sure u hailed d outspoken duo when they criticized the economic policies of the previous administration. Now they spoke against ur 'god',u open ur basket mouth to speak poo. Intelligence my foot! Park wella

They didn't go to the press. They made the comments at an event. Hahaha... What is the difference? And try to be civil. Thanks.

I think the ex-CBN governörs are trying to make an innocent probe look like witch-hunt by their strangely timed outburst.

My thoughts Exactly! Glad to meet an intelligent fellow. Not many people know the intrigues in politics. Probably, the ex-CBN Governors have insiders in the Presidency who have briefed them of the impending probe. Hence, their recent simultaneous comments. If not, why has it taken them so long to comment on the state of the economy? And why not go and meet the President and his economic team to advise them about the economy? Soludo and Sanusi are statesmen. They can't be denied access to PMB. Leadership is a very difficult task.

NASS members are paid quarterly allowance, I think, for constitency briefing or something like that. I don't actually know what the money is meant for. Someone should educate me.

That is what the criminals do when padding budgets- they look for anything possible to earmark monies to, and soon as they are released, they go into private pockets.

We are lucky not to have seen monies for renovation of private sock-aways.

What a house of crooks!!

So angry right now!

To think this has been going on for many years leaves me wondering how many billions have been stolen. NASS is our real problem. This has been my stand. They sit their dumb azz there doing nothing but collecting millions. A thorough investigation is needed to ascertain how long this padding has been going on, and those responsible be sanctioned unfailingly. We can not continue like this. Am seriously angry. Imagine the hardship we are currently facing. There should be an #OccupyNASS about this issue. It is a criminal act.

Now, many people will finally realise why the NASS tried so much to disgrace PMB, over his refusal to sign the budget. And they also accused him of padding. Well, Nigeria shall change for the better.

The argument that, the Executives can only stay in office for a maximum of 8 years while the Legislators can stay for 35 years is a very sound one. Glad to know we still have some people in that chamber who can think rationally. They should PLEASE give LGs financial autonomy. It is unconstitutional for state Governors to be managing LGs the way they are doing.

I am just beginning to be suspicious of the decision to dismantle all military checkpoints across the country by PMB. This was one of the first directives he issued upon assumption of office. Now, everything is playing out before our very eyes. That was a very bad directive.

Am I the only one observing the lamentations of PDP e-rats here? In the last sixteen years, they were okay with the way PDP government was directing their affairs but now they want bubu to perform magic. They are even angry with APC government for exposing how massively their beloved party, pdp and party members wrecked the nation and by extension, their lives.
These lamentations show that you guys were not as lucky as those guys who cornered millions and billions of naira during the years of looting by PDP, lol. My curiosity is that I want know why you guys still defending these thieves and looters even when it was apparent that they didn't make your life better for a whole sixteen years.

Your comment is very wonderful. What an intelligent comment! I feel so much inspired by you. The fact that people are complaining shows that, PDP could not fix our problems in the last sixteen years. Expecting PMB to fix everything in a year is funny.

Once again, thanks for ur matured and intelligent response. The level of imbecility and unintelligence being displayed on the forum is shocking. Impatience is the main problem with Nigerians. People expect results over night. Little wonder, we are known for taking short cuts to achieve our aims. We need to be patient with this present administration. They are being so clinical and analytical with our problems with a view to fixing them. If they were following the pattern of other regimes, we wouldn't have been complaining. But there is every need to change the system. Let us be wise, by exercising little patience.

Because Nigerians hate taking responsibility for their own problems. They like to blame someone else!

How could a thief who was caught red-handed blame someone else? It shows the terrible level of mental deterioration you could only find in Nigeria!

Mental deterioration! Thank you so much. In Psychology, it is called "Stinking Thinking". From the beginning of this topic, I have posted about 3 times and this has been my line of argument. People who are arguing that, SP is not the only corrupt person, and so should be freed, are sick in the head. Only people with criminal minds reason like this. We are all humans with full of imperfections. Nevertheless, we can't allow corruption to continue to thrive just because nobody is perfect. It is our duty to sanitize the system. That is the essence of having a good leader. PMB may not be perfect, but he has been empowered to fight corruption. And the fight has started. No need trading blames.

Saraki should just concentrate on how to defend himself of all d corrupt practices he is facing @d CCT.Sheyb he wants 2b d senate president by all means 2d extent of using an opposition member as his deputy.I don't pity him because many civil servants and pensioners are dying or are still dying cos of his greed.Courts are sending Nigerians 2death cos of petty crimes and some people are hear defending Saraki who is standing trial for corruption, honestly kudos should go to his party for allowing d law 2take it's course.

I like this: "Kudos should go to his party [APC] for allowing the law to take its course". The era of aiding and defending corruption is gone - with the exit of PDP. This is where some of us get angry with the PDP supporters: calling for Saraki to be freed. A very daft argument. Change has come. And it is never pleasant.

I like people with the strength to post very intelligent comments. You are one of them. Some folks totally lack the ability to reason like rational beings and discuss issues objectively. Something is seriously wrong with some set of people in this country. Their mentality is corrupt. They don't argue based on facts on the ground. They are always drawing comparisms. I feel so sad anytime I read comments like 'Saraki is not the only corrupt person. Tinubu is also corrupt'. 'Since Tinubu was released, Saraki too should be released'. These are comments of people with a criminal mentality. And only those who are mentally dwarf tow this line of argument. Such people cannot post matured and intelligent comments. They are always abusive. Even though it is far better to ignore such fellows, sometimes it is good to treat their 'toxic' ignorance. PMB was not in power when Tinubu was freed! It is quite unfortunate living and interacting with people who are suffering from "Stinking Thinking".
