Politics / Re: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala "A Grave Sin Of Cowardice" - By Ugoji Egbujo by Satex(m): 11:35am On Apr 23, 2016

Let's be rational for a second:

NOI: 14 years out of 16 (with 'oil boom' for the most part), borrowing to pay salaries @$65/barrel . . . see where we are.

Kemi: 4 months, without one budget yet to work with, in an 'oil doom' period, shutting each loophole of theft, one at a time

You wanna call "crucify her, crucify her" . . . wait and do it at the right time, doing so now only makes you the most part, the 'tribalist' and irrational one.

A very matured and intelligent response! It is really hard debating with folks who can not for once reason like rational beings. Do you know our greatest problem in this country? "Stinking Thinking".

Politics / Re: Lawyers To Sue NASS On CCB/CCT Amendment Bill by Satex(m): 8:28am On Apr 19, 2016
Dannyset:
This is one reason why Saraki is not needed on that seat in the first place. Our Senators now carry the emblem of corruption everywhere they go. What a world!

Even if we can't sue them, they've already been exposed as the face of corruption in Nigerian government.

It's a shame!

You are very correct! They have been exposed and will be exposed like never before. PMB has successfully pitched the masses against the NASS in a very good way. We are not talking politics these days. We are talking corruption and the way forward. I believe Nigeria will change for the better.

This has been the practice over the years ....Cut overhead cost of important project that will benefit the masses....divert the cut cost to personal constituency projects of which they have provisions for in the NASS budget ..thereby making it impossible for government to fully implement the important project they budgeted for...and so NASS members become richer from such funds...after all, they won't implement any project.. all will be embezzled.
This is one of the major reasons they fight to head various committees in the NASS.

ROGUES!

Very true! Am sure the current president is fully prepared to stop this mess from the NASS. By the time PMB is through with them, most of them are gonna sell some of their assets because of hardship. No more wuruwuru, free chop, etc.

Politics / Re: "Nigeria's Problem; Lack Of Will To Save Under GEJ .. Okonjo Iweala ... Cableng by Satex(m): 8:59pm On Apr 15, 2016
Those who are still arguing vehemently that, NOI's latest comment does not, in any way, blame the immediate past president for our current woes should, please, pause and rethink.
QN 1. Did NOI really compare OBJ's regime to GEJ's regime or not?
ANS1. She did very intelligently.
QN2. Did she actually mention any ex-gov's name?
ANS2. No, she didn't.
QN3. Who heads a regime?
ANS3. President.
FINALLY, those who are trying their best to exonerate GEJ's regime from our current situation should, please, relax. This is not the first time NOI has made this kind of comment. And it is not going to be the last. More of such comments are on the way. For her to be speaking like this means she has seen clearly, the hand writing on the wall. THINGS HAVE CHANGED, AND WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. Kudos NOI.

You see! If NOI really said so, then those who are always "glorifying" her on this forum should bury their heads in great shame. And those who are intellectually dwarf will not want the past regime to be blamed for Nigeria's current economic woes. What we are facing today is the cummulative effect of lack of vision of the immediate past regime. They really messed up. I really pity PMB. He will suffer. But he will definitely succeed in fixing the damage. God will not abandon PMB and honest Nigerians. Finally, let me warn saboteurs of the present regime: God's judgment is imminent. We can't continue to live in error! Enough is enough!

Politics / Re: Saraki And His 80 Lawyers by Satex(m): 9:03pm On Apr 08, 2016
bakynes:
Democracy in this part of the world defiles common sense. Why shd he be allowed to hire such number of lawyers, to me it's crazy. Thats another crime on its own that the EFCC needs to charge him for, how is he able to afford 80 SANs and 2 foreign lawyers.

Hiring 80 SANs is as daft as it sounds. A clear show of shame. A total lack of common sense. Can't bring myself to believe someone who is well learned like Saraki will demonstrate this kind of primitive attitude. If he know he is not guilty, then why hire such a huge defence team, after trying desperately to stop his trial? This is totally ridiculous! This issue should be looked into. Very childish.

This generation of leaders is a tragedy for the collective aspirations of Nigerians. They represent a microcosm of the waste that this generation in many aspects typifies.

Tragedy to the collective aspirations of Nigerians! Thank you so much. They hold sway without ever thinking of giving way to the younger generations. Just look at it. Someone will complete 2 terms (8yrs) as Gov. And the next thing is to find that same person in the NASS as a Senator. How do we call this kind of a thing? Ridiculous! Its really bad.

Thank you so much. All these diabolical laws are enacted without the consent of the electorates. Most of our leaders are not only insincere, they are extremely wicked. Its a pity. They have no idea of leadership.
Politics / Re: List Of Outrageous Pensions Of Ex- Governors by Satex(m): 1:29pm On Apr 07, 2016
You see! I have just posted about our so called legislators in another thread. And here we see it. These are people who are supposed to be passing legislations which will take care of the welfare of the masses. But just see this kind of a thing. Diabolical legislation! They don't really care about us. Its a pity! Primitive thinking is really bad. These pension laws enacted by States Houses of Assembly should be nullified. Else, there can be progress. I rest my case.

Just imagine the rotteness of a people sent to represent a constituency!

APC-led executive is still embittered by his election- so what?? Is that supposed to be a reason for not proceeding with his trial even when the devil knows he's guilty?? How could anyone be this morally debased, still standing in defence of this crook with the revelations by prosecution witness yesterday??

I think we should, as a matter of urgency, start "test running" the process of recalling some of these dunderheads that populate the legislature- they certainly aren't there for our own good as they would rather be abobakus for a recalcitrant criminal than an abobaku for their respective constituencies.
Our major problem in this country is poor representation. If only the lawmakers who are representing us in the various legislative chambers are doing just what is required of them, we wouldn't have been in this rot. They are only there for their selfish interests. TOO BAD!

PassingShot:
The NASS as it's currently constituted is a congregation of clowns.

No matter the amount of errors found in the budget submitted by the presidency, it cannot be an excuse not to work on it earnestly and pass it as they deem fit and right.

The primary function of the NASS is to debate, amend, propose, add and remove certain provisions in the nation's budget.

I don't blame them since the leadership has the blessing and support of the wailing zombies and IPOB touts, they can do as they like. If not, the budget wouldn't have taken three full month's to discuss and pass as required.

EXACTLY!
You are so on point. Working on the budget presented is the primary function of the NASS. And this may not be the first budget with unacceptable provisions. So many of such budgets may have been passed in the past. I don't just understand why our distinguished senators have chosen to talk about the budget rather than amend and pass the document.

Profile Of Justice Danladi Umar, The Judge tasked with finishing Saraki's political career. cheesy cheesy

Honestly, I see Saraki's political career in great danger. Here in Nigeria, there is no constitutional provision for an independent candidate; one must belong to a political party and respect the party's supremacy. Undue arrogance can NOT be tolerated. Saraki mistakenly allowed pride to becloud his sense of reasoning. He twice defied his party's position on Senate leadership. There is no way Saraki can hang unto that position and enjoy that seat without the approval and support of the leadership of his party. Those who are shouting witch-hunting don't just understand politics. The earlier he humbled himself and obey his party's position on the choice of principal officers, the better for him. To me, the party was even generous to allow him with the position of SP. Imagine the leadership of the party begging him as if he is the C-in-C. Time to discipline him.
