atesunate16: I will advice you get on duolingo, then look for a coach around you. If you can't get a physical teacher, remote is also good.
You can also follow youtube channels, ensure you learn sounds before you start grammar
I'm currently in my 4th month as a new learner
Bonne chance ! Also, Busuu is a better alternative. More structured than duolingo. |

Tofunmi22: Hello people, I desperately need someone that we can practice together outside our different classes. Preferably someone in A1.2 level, but A1.1 is also good. Someone we can practice together, compare notes and ideas. Please you must already be taking classes and a very serious minded person. Please indicate and I'll connect with you. I sent you an Email |

All the best to the Frenchies preparing. Welcome back. We look forward to you providing us with valuable information that could be of great benefit to us. Thank you. |

Diceman8: Hi guys, just wanted to let you know i got my visa today. I went on interview on 13 january and my visa was shipped on the 30th, thats less than 3 weeks.
Final tips for everyone to be successful - The more documents you have the better, for example if they asked for school leaving certificate ofcourse some people here have had success with just testimonial or waec. I would advise to get all of them as its safer. If you cant get all just do what you can, the more the better.
- Dress well and casual for the interview. When i went to the embassy i was surprised seeing some people dressing like theyre going to a club, wearing slides etc. Wear clean and mature. You dont need to wear suit or anything but atleast a long sleeve shirt and some covered shoes
- The test given during the interview is always mostly repeated either from student visa or from chancenkarte. Check online or ask ai and search for your course and questions for this test and you could actually go there and see its all repeated questions like it happened to me.
- German isnt necessary as most of you know. But knowing just abit of it and saying you are learning will help. Tell the vo youre learning and say some stuff youve already learned like introducing yourself.
- I had no document of jobsearch applications etc. But i wilk exclude this in my case because i have worked in germany before.
- Nigerians have alot of issues with their names and i also faced this issue with the VO to the point she didnt trust or believe i was actually this person. Birthdates and names are veryyy veryyy important. So make sure you get an affidavit from highcourt that is veryyyy detailed as she told me that my affidavit wasnt detailed at all, it said nothing.
- Be calm and confident. The interview is basically just a discussion and most of the questions are from your documents and application
I wish you all the best as this has been a long and painful process, taking over a year for me in total. Goodluck to all of you and i wish you the best Congratulations |

Helenaaa: Let me break the silence with some good news
I’m happy to share that I finally received my visa, Decision was made on the 2nd January and i finally received my passport today January 8th. My interview date was October 22nd, and after waiting patiently until now, it has finally come through.
This journey definitely had its ups and downs. Some people here already know about the back-and-forth and the challenges I faced along the way, but I’m truly grateful that it all worked out in the end. I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported, encouraged, and shared useful information during this process.
To everyone still waiting or preparing for their own visa, I wish you the very best of luck. Stay strong, your turn will come too.
Now, on to the next phase 🇩🇪✈️ If anyone has information on the next steps after landing in Germany such as registration and other important requirements please kindly share a step-by-step guide. I would really appreciate your help.
Thank you all once again, and wishing everyone success on their journey. Congratulations 🎊 🎉 |

ozone0801: Electricians in the house, I have a question? How best can one use electrical devices like TV, freezer that uses 110-120V in a house( I want to buy some appliances, that are all 110V, cos they're cheap). Is it by using plugin wall socket step up transformers? If yes, does this work well with inverter?
Is it possible to run a wiring for a new house such that you can have wall sockets with option for 110V and 220V appliances? If yes, how? Is it through separate conduit wiring, or use a central step down transformer from the DB. Kindly advise. You need step down transformer. |

Hope you can see the difference between my post and what the scammer is saying? I clearly discouraged the SL stuff, whereas the scammer is trying to prey on your desperation.
This is why I always refuse message requests here on Nairaland cos I don't trust anyone. Please identify the person's Nairaland ID, send to Seun in order to have the account banned, cos they must be on Nairaland to have been able to contact you.
Abeg oooo ✌🏽 You are right. I asked the person to provide in dept how it works Couldn’t give anything reasonable. I knew it wasn’t you |

cyberbro: No! It is not from me and I am not familiar with that number.
I hope someone hasn't been using my moniker to send emails to people here. Please if anyone contacts you claiming to be Cyberbro, kindly screenshot the message, block and report the account, they must be the same set of scammers that used Sid57's moniker to mail someone earlier.
I have never contacted anyone or even accepted a message request on Nairaland. Please stay vigilant! He contacted me offering block account.
