Foreign Used panel boss.
Did not purchase it ,the installer did and he opted for foreign used panel because he wanted actual capacity and he said he tested it.

Hi everyone,

I have 2 335 watt panels with :
1. Maximum power voltage ( 37.6 V ).
2. Maximum power current ( 8.91 A ).

* If the 2 panels are connected in series,
Output = 8.91 A and 75.2 Volts

* If the 2 panels are connected in parallel,
Output = 17.82 A and 37.6 Volts

Just to confirm if the above calculation is correct?

My 60 amps PWM is delivering a maximum of 8.7 A at peak and voltage as high as 65 volts during float with the panels in parallel connection.

This is a 12V setup ( 220 amps tubular battery and battery hardly gets full in a day without usage during the day.

Just to confirm if my connection was done right.

charge Contollers, just like most electrical appliances, have tolerance limits hence even when it says 520w on it's sticker, you could get away with feeding it slightly higher and nothing would happen.

Though, it's often better you never get close to it's limits on Sticker, let alone it's tolerance limits.

and you see that 40A of that charge Controller eh, ensure you don't risk it because if you near am and na overrated, or you pass am (assuming say na 40A true true), your charge contorller fit fry any how. And successful Repairs ain't guaranteed.

Also, Solar Panels rarely produce up to 90% of their stated output. That's assuming said Solar Panel is original, not close to it's old age, and not overRated.

Also, hopefully you're very much aware even charge Controllers, arre over rated atimes. When one of my epEver charge controller (rated 40A) went bad, I temporarily bought a cheaper version (rated 60A) pending when they fix mine (which they couldn't) and guess what, the 60A no fit do wetin my old 40A dey do. Spoke with a top importer and the moment He heard the brand, He told me more than I thought I already knew

600w on a 520w max cc isn't an issue. few panels generate at max. also you can over array by up to 20%--zero issues...the dangerous part is exceeding the cc voc rating...an that one dey fry cc

Let me show you how to HELP YOUR SELF

To get total number of Solar Panels required depending on Inverter Capacity.

Size of Inverter Divided By Wattage of a single solar panel of your choice
hence let's say you intends buying 300W solar panels, but don't know how many pieces you would be needing.

Let's also assume your target is a 3KVA inverter system

Then to get the Number of Solar Panels required, you do 3KVA / 300w

But mathematically, 3KVA means 3,000VA

hence 3,000 / 300 = 10 Solar Panels.

Let's assume we prefer a 200w solar panel since a 300W solar panel is Heavier, hence our calculation would now be 3,000va / 200w = 15 Solar Panels
