That's popular ideology and you know that happens to the majority of traders that aren't profitable? They lose. 95% of traders are in that category statistically, so I tend to be very contrarian to the markets.
Those levels could be effective in MN and W1 but I'm more intraday and for me the 78.6 and 88.8 are doing me well especially on the 4H.

We wonder on the complex things whereas the simple works perfectly.
I like to see confluence of levels. The D1 23.6fib meets the TL of the 4H and that's why I started looking for longs on LTF. Saw that price wasn't breaking further down after so many M15 candles. If it's not going down then it wants to go up and the TL on the M15 gave me a good reason to long with a SL good enough to accommodate any news spikes [China banned imports of beef from Australia within the last 24hrs so I've been waiting for the effects to weaken the Aussie and Kiwi].
If you want to see what I do, start from the MN then W1 then D1 then I go from the 4H straight to 15M for entry. You'd catch why I take 80% of my calls
But you don't need to know these fundamentals, I called the trade long before the announcement and that's just prove that news is a lagging indicator. It just just gives your TA volatility, like going to bed and waking up to almost 300pips!!!
