Investment / Profitable Investment In Your Child's Education 2 by sayit247: 4:27pm On Jul 10, 2018
THE GREATEST LEGACY YOU CAN LEAVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN IS A GOOD AND QUALITY EDUCATION. BECOME ENGRAVED IN YOUR CHILDREN’S MINDS' TODAY BY LEAVING A LEGACY FOR THEM

Education Legacy Assurance Plan

We can help your child from being forced to end schooling prematurely! This can happen from any of the following emergencies. Due to unexpected Job loss or demise of family breadwinner or sponsor.
The Educational Legacy Assurance Plan is a targeted savings plan geared towards financing the future education of a named child. It is a savings plan designed to accumulate sufficient fund for educational purposes.

Every parent needs ELAP because it provides cover for the:

1. Untimely demise of the parent, guardian or sponsor of the child.

2. Permanent disability of the parent, guardian or sponsor due to an accident or critical illness.

3. Loss of employment of the parent, guardian or sponsor resulting from redundancy.

The policy duration

The policy duration ranges between 8 and 18 years. The maximum age at entry for a parent or sponsor is 57 years. The policy is designed to mature not later than age 65 for the payer and 25 for the child named as beneficiary.

Benefits

a. A life assurance benefit of a guaranteed sum assured subject to a maximum of N10 million or the balance in the policy holder’s account, whichever is higher.

b. An annual maintenance income of 25% of the sum insured, payable for 5 years in the event of the policy holders demise.

c. A disability benefit in the event of total permanent disability. Here, the policy holder enjoys benefits due under the life assurance cover and annual maintenance income.

d. A redundancy benefit due to loss of employment. Here, the policy holder can enjoy a waiver of the premium for 6 months.

e. A cash withdrawal option of up to 20% from the legacy account to assist in the child’s education provided the policy has been in place for a minimum period of 5 years.

How You Can Determine the Premium

Premium: This is the fee paid by the insured to the insurance company for bearing the risk of the insured. So, how do you know what to pay for an ELAP policy in AIICO? Let’s assume a man wants to save N10 million for the education of his child. He will take that amount and divide it by the number of years he wants to go for between 8-18 years. Let’s assume the man wants to go for 18 years, divide N10 million by 18 years: this will be N555, 555.55. This money can be paid once a year or twice a year, quarterly or monthly. Let’s assume again that another person wants to save N2 million for his child within the period of 8 years: Divide 2 million by 8 years: this will be N250, 000.00. This amount can be paid once or twice a year, quarterly or monthly. If you intend to pay twice a year, divide 250, 000.00 by 2, it will be N125, 000.00. Whatever amount you want to save, divide the amount by the duration. This will give you what you will need to pay annually, semiannually, quarterly or monthly. (Monthly option will commence with the first two months paid upfront)

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM HAVING THIS PLAN?

Anyone interested in EDUCATION PLAN for his or her dependent(s) and also wants to leave a legacy for his/her child.

*More explanation on the benefits of this policy*

*If a parent or a sponsor that has this policy desires to withdraw from it, can he/she do so?*

Yes. The plan should have run for at least Five years before you can make a withdrawal. The maximum you can withdraw is 20% of your paid amount. This is to help the parent pay for the education of the child if he/she wants to pay the child’s school fees from the education account.

*What happens if a parent dies before this policy matures?*

The child will be paid 25% of the total sum he/she (the parent or sponsor) has in mind to pay for five years. That is to say, if he has N10 million as the total sum to be paid as in one of our examples above, the child will be given N2.5 million for five years and then the total amount (N10 million) will be given to the child at the end of the plan. If death occurs in less than five years to the end of the policy, the child will enjoy the 25% within the duration of the plan; then the total sum will be given. Let’s assume demise occurred at the 15th year of the policy, the child will receive N2.5 million only for two years and then N10 million will be given to the child at the 18th year.

*What happens if the parent or sponsor becomes permanently disabled?*

He is seen as a dead living person. All the benefits we give to the child when the parent or sponsor dies will be given to the child. This is explained in detail in the question above.

*How do I start this policy today?*

Call me on: 08038632441 or 07086168628

You will be given a form to fill. Then you will give us the passport of the named child, his or her birth certificate, your utility bill, your own passport and any means of identification (driver’s license, voter’s card, international passport or national ID card). You will then be sent your policy certificate with our incentives.

Note: Picking up this policy can be done from the comfort of your house or the office. All you need to do is notify us, we will send you a scanned copy of the form, fill it and scan it back to us with all the necessary documents. Your application will be processed and your certificate forwarded to you upon approval.

To avoid losing your money, do not seek 'abnormal' profits. It is good for you to know that the investment vehicle you wish to utilise in achieving returns will also make profit to service their operations before declaring profit for you. If you desire a minimum of 30% ROI, why not take lessons in entrepreneurship so you can maximise returns on your capital of N1,000,000.00. In any investment you make the security of your funds should rank uppermost in your mind. Thank you.

Politics / N29billion Lagos Suspension Bridge Is A Huge Fraud!!! by sayit247: 3:47pm On May 02, 2013
By Nsikkan Nkordeh

N29B Suspension bridge!!!

This is just ridiculous..all these ACN Governor are reaping off the people with hyper-inflation of contracts

I read that Governor Fashola of Lagos built the Suspension bridge connecting Lekki and Ikoyi, less than 2km, with a whooping N29B!

This is just crazy, a professionally way of stealing

How much does it cost to build a bridge across low-tide waters?

Really a shame that the same offence ACN accuses PDP is what they indulge in

Fashola has shown himself to be a man that defrauds Lagosians under the cloak of ‘development’

A less than 2km Suspension bridge for N29B is mad and wicked…

How much would he then build the 4th Mainland bridge that would span about 15km?..he would need a year’s budget to do that

Nigeria is plagued with mad men as leaders…looting through projects is a crime against humanity.

Politics / Appropriateness Of Speaker Tambuwals Committee On Amaechi’s Grounded Bombardier by sayit247: 8:01pm On May 01, 2013
The Nigerian House of Representatives on Tuesday directed its committee on Justice and Aviation to probe the circumstances surrounding the grounding of a BD Bombardier 700 Aircraft allegedly owned by the Rivers State government. The committee has 14 days to carry out the probe and report back to the house.

This resolution was sequel to a motion moved by Ahmed Idris (ACN-Plateau), which was unanimously adopted without debate when put to vote by Speaker Aminu Tambuwal.

The motion is entitled: “Urgent need to investigate the justification for and circumstances surrounding the controversial grounding of Rivers State Government Bombardier B700 Global Express”.

My concern over this motion is the manner the Nigerian National Assembly responds to issues. What is the need for setting up a committee to probe a matter that happened between two government agencies for which those concerned can be questioned on oath during the sitting of the house. All those involved in this incident are resident in Nigeria.

It is also sad that legislators at all levels use language unbecoming of their status when contributing to debates and moving of motions in the house.

How do you label actions of an arm of government that have not being properly investigated as taken with impunity, and political vendetta.

Aircraft’s belonging to other airlines have had cause to be grounded without these theatrics from the house.

While awaiting the outcome of the work of the committee (ignoring all the biased comments of the legislatures) let us hope the report won’t be overtaken by other events. source http://www.sayit247.com/2013/05/appropriateness-of-speaker-tambuwals-committee-on-amaechis-grounded-bombardier-700-aircraft/
Politics / "Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Grounded Plane Saga"- Matters Arising by sayit247: 4:23pm On Apr 27, 2013
The Presidency is seen as the jewel in the crown of power in the Nigerian political space and Nigerian politicians normally go to any length to achieve their aim of acquiring this Jewel. This has included massive rigging, inviting the military to overthrow democratically elected governments, attempts at buying power by becoming the chief financiers of political parties, identification with a particular religion/tribe, zone as a tool to manipulate the people to achieve power and even in a case full with comedy an appeal to gender etc.

Adopting the Machiavellian principle of the end justifies the means which has since been localised by our own Gen Ibrahim Babangida (MARADONA) to mean every man has a price, the Nigerian politician seems to want to gain political mileage out of every incident no matter if he is right/wrong or if people live or die.

The above scenario is playing itself out in the political journey of the Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi . We will for now be concerned with his journey to Akure in a state government aircraft and the dust raised on his return journey, an event we would want to refer to as the "Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Saga".

The "Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi saga". It should have been a simple matter, if communication between all parties was open and honest. After all these kind of issues are governed by procedures and due process. Were they followed or breached?

The Story as told by certain sections of the media goes thus: "The private jet belonging to the Rivers State governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was not allowed to take off at the Akure international airport.
The governor who attended the funeral service of the deputy governor of Ekiti state Mrs Funmilayo Olayinka, landed at Akure airport around 4pm and then moved on to Ekiti state for the funeral.
On his return he was delayed for one hour before he was eventually cleared by Nigerian Airspace Management Authority, NAMA" Read Full report here.

Another report states: "The Special Adviser to the Minister of Aviation on Media, Mr. Joe Obi, who spoke with our correspondent last night, said: “The Rivers State aircraft was not grounded at the airport in Akure as being insinuated. What happened was not supposed to be an issue at all.
“As part of new aviation regulations, any aircraft taking off is supposed to make its manifest available to the aviation authorities for the purpose of record keeping.
“We have had incidents in the past where it was difficult to know the people on board a particular aircraft. The rule now is that you must present the manifest before you take off, whether it is a private or commercial aircraft.
“So, in Akure, they demanded for the manifest of the aircraft carrying Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and in the typical Nigerian system or attitude, they started asking why they must make the manifest available.
“At the time this thing happened, they had not even asked for start up. That is, they had not got in touch with the Control Tower for take- off.
“When the manifest was produced, the aircraft was cleared accordingly. We could not have delayed or grounded the aircraft, having noticed that there is no heavy lighting at Akure Airport for night traffic.
“We did not have issues. It was just normal operational procedure.” Read Full report here.

The important point to note here is that the governor's aircraft did not leave at the time he signaled his preparedness to depart Akure through the airport. So, what went wrong?

This can only be answered by asking some questions.

1) The aircraft involved is managed by staff 'both flying and ground staff' who are supposed to be conversant with the current rules guiding the aviation industry. If we are to believe their claim, all the rules were compiled with hence they were given permission to land. If so fine. Did these same staff also take into cognisance the conditions that must be met before take off and did they meet them? Do they have duplicate copies showing time of submission of documentation.

2) At what time was the request for the manifest made, to whom and by whom?

3) If truly provision for night flights is not available at the Akure airport, how did the governors flight depart at 8pm? Is there a breach of any other safety regulation.

4) Was the speaker of the National Assembly Aminu Tambuwal truly at that Airport and did he intervene in the matter under discourse? If he did, was it an intervention on the side of a 'manifest must be produced' or that the 'aircraft was unjustifiably grounded'?

5) Would it not have been better for the governor to immediately issue an official statement on what transpired at the airport so as douse tension and speculation.

6) Is the governor trying to present himself as a persecuted lamb for whatever reason or purpose?

7) Considering the gravity of the dent on the image of the country and the security implication for the nation should this incident be allowed to fly away in the sky as a non-issue or be properly investigated and the truth unearthed for Nigerians to know with whom honour lies. With the government(FAAN) or the governor(vice-presidential candidate in-waiting)?

cool When will the line between politics and governance be drawn in the fight for the jewel in the crown of power in the Nigerian political space? source http://www.sayit247.com/2013/04/chibuike-rotimi-amaechi-grounded-plane-saga-matters-arising/
Politics / Jonathan’s Clueless Leadership And We The People!!! by sayit247: 2:37pm On Apr 26, 2013
The most Nigerian people have spoken about this president, is that he governs the country as someone who has no clue on what to do with the power in his hands. And this is shouted to the roof tops by the ‘opposition’ , we the people applaud them, not minding that they too are as clueless about the leadership Nigeria needs as the man they mock.

We the people must stop listening to the noise of our politicians, both the politicians who claim to be ‘in power’ and those seeking to ‘grab power’, and start making them hear our own demands.

We the people must give clues to our politicians about the type of president Nigeria needs in 2015 and the first clue is this:
1) Nigeria needs a president who is not a DRAFTEE. [OBASANJO DRAFTED YAR 'ADUA/JONATHAN, TINUBU DRAFTED RIBADU etc]
